A fun blast through the galaxy with zappers at the ready, but aiming can be tricky — especially for younger space cadets. The ride’s charm and theming are stellar, but smaller heroes may struggle to hit their targets and feel more like sidekicks than rangers. Still, a solid stop on your Magic Kingdom quest.

Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin is one of those classic Disney rides that never gets old, no matter how many times you ride it. It’s part interactive game, part dark ride, and 100% fun. Whether you’re a kid or a competitive adult trying to max out your score (guilty), this ride is an absolute blast from start to finish. Theming and Queue: From the moment you enter the queue, you’re pulled straight into the Toy Story universe. The theming is colorful, cartoonish, and full of fun nods to the Galactic Alliance. Buzz himself greets you with an animatronic pep talk as you prep for battle against the Evil Emperor Zurg. The atmosphere makes you feel like you’re stepping into a real-life arcade game, with just the right amount of Disney charm. Ride Experience: You board a two-person Star Cruiser equipped with laser blasters, and the mission is simple: blast targets and defeat Zurg. What makes this ride so addictive is that it’s more than just a scenic ride — it’s a game. You aim your blaster at glowing targets throughout the different scenes to rack up points, and trust me, it gets competitive fast. The scenes are full of bright colors, spinning alien robots, glowing targets, and over-the-top space chaos — in the best way. And yes, your cruiser spins, so you can control your rotation and really dial in on high-value targets. It’s great for people who love a bit of strategy and skill mixed into their ride experience. (Tip: Look for the hidden 100,000-point targets if you’re chasing Galactic Hero status!) Family-Friendly Fun: It’s a ride that works for literally everyone. There are no height requirements, no drops, and it’s fully indoors — so it’s perfect for families with little ones or for when you need a break from the heat or rain. Even if you’re not aiming to break the scoreboard, the ride is still a blast just to sit back, spin, and take in the colorful space chaos. Tech and Longevity: Sure, the ride isn’t brand-new, and the tech is a little retro compared to newer attractions. But that’s part of its charm — it feels like an arcade game from the ‘90s that came to life in the most Disney way possible. The lasers work well, the targets are responsive, and the scoring system keeps you coming back for more to try and beat your personal best. Final Thoughts: Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin is an underrated gem in Tomorrowland. It’s interactive, immersive, competitive, and just plain fun. Whether you’re in it to win it or just want to coast through space with Buzz and friends, this ride delivers every time. Grab your blaster, aim for the glowing Zs, and let your inner space ranger shine. To infinity and beyond, indeed.

This is another one of Disney's themed "slow ride through stuff you look at" rides, but with the twist that it's interactive. It's pretty low-key fun. You get a laser gun and you shoot targets. It's easy to get the hang of, and you can compare your scores at the end for bragging rights. There are a few targets that are worth a lot more, like the top of the volcano. Good luck hitting it. The state of repair varies on the carts and guns. The last time I went, my laser was very dim and I couldn't hit anything far away. My daughter was unable to see where her laser was hitting.

I did this ride a while ago. It’s a good family ride to do with little ones. You have a good chance to score some points and see how well you do throughout the ride. It’s outdated the blasters are not impressive. The cars need some attention and the outfits for the cast members need a fresh new look as well. The score board needs some updating also. Good ride to do on a really hot or rainy day. The lines can get long depending on when you go.

Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin is an exciting and interactive ride that's perfect for all ages. Armed with laser guns, you shoot at targets (minions) to earn points, making it a fun competition with friends and family. The ride's spinning motion and colorful space-themed environment add to the excitement. This ride is a big hit with kids, who love the challenge of aiming and shooting while the ride spins. Adults can join in the fun too, as the competitive scoring makes it enjoyable for everyone. The wait time is usually reasonable, making it an easy and worthwhile stop during your visit. It's a fantastic way to bond with family while enjoying a spirited challenge. A must-try attraction at Magic Kingdom!

Google
A family favorite! I always win the shooting part of the ride! Buzz is such a great character and the ride has not lost its magic over the last 20+ years. The lines have also gotten shorter as Disney has added new rides to this park!

Great ride I love toy story. Not too fierce and great for kids

Google
One of my top favorite rides in Magic Kingdom! My entire family has always taken it super seriously and we fight for our high scores. Now my daughter loves it too and we have so much fun. It will be nice when they close down to refurbish and add on a bit but I’ll be sad to see it closed when so much is already closing up in the parks. But it will definitely be worth it. This ride is just the best for every one and so creative.

Yelp
Speaking as a Galactic Hero (picture attached), I have to say that this ride offers no challenge to us Space Rangers. Okay, kidding aside... LOL! This is a fun attraction, and it hasn't really lost its luster over time. You are in a two-person car, on a slow-moving, constant-loader attraction. The difference here is that you also have a "blaster" that shoots "lasers" at villainous forces led by the evil Emperor Zurg! Aim for the targets, earn points, and try to max out at 999,999 to earn the title of Galactic Hero! You can be as competitive as you like, just remember you're in public... at a theme park... where everyone can see your behavior. ;) It's a fun ride, though, with a great interactive element, even if you're in a car by yourself. It's very colorful inside with a mix of scenes and targets that respond to your attacks (items get knocked over, a volcano explodes, etc.). Because this attraction has been around for a bit, lines can vary. It's not the most sought-after ride in the park. But, lines can build, so be sure to check the app for wait times. Also, if you're there in summer, it's a great respite from the heat and humidity for several minutes, longer if you wait in the line indoors!

Yelp
Who doesn't love a good old shooting game?! Buzz Lightyear, which is located at Magic Kingdom in Tomorrowland and a park ticket is required. As most rides at Disney, there is a standard que line, but they also offer lightening lane options, which are an additional price. Also, as most Disney rides, there are busy days and less crowded days, as well as longer wait times and times when it is shorter. This used to be one of my favorite rides, however, it is time for a refresh and upgrade. This ride is really showing its age and use. I still really enjoy it and we always make a point to ride when at the park, but again, this needs an update. Most of the guns don't work anymore, and if they do, they don't work well. It is truly outdated compared to other shooting game type rides. If you are stuck in the longer line, it is about 50/50 outside and inside, which is much cooler but much louder. One of my main issues with this ride, is how incredibly slow the line moves, despite that this attraction is on a continuous track, there are no pauses between cars and the track does not stop unless the cast member stops it. Because of this, you honestly cannot trust the posted wait time. I suggest, if the line is not too long outside, then get on. Once you get inside, there is not much more of the line to go. If the line looks long outside, then skip it and come back later when it will be shorter. Again, the ride is old and has seen better days, it's in need of repair. You are able to control how the car moves, by spinning it around completely. Recently, we have noticed that the joysticks are also not working the best. Instead of being able to go left or right, you usually can only get the car to spin by going in one direction, so you have to completely spin to get where you want to be. The "gun" is attached to the vehicle so you cannot not pick it up, just move it left and right. It is nearly impossible to determine where your light from the gun is and again most times, it's not working. We have been on this numerous times and our score is completely different each and every time! Overall, the ride is fun, kids love it, adults love it, we love competing against each other and always have fun. I just really wish they would remodel it and make it more functional and working. I do think its worth checking out if you are in Magic Kingdom.

Yelp
Buzz Lightyear is at Magic Kingdom in Tomorrowland. Park tickets are required to visit. They have a standard line but also offer lightening lane options for a price. There are times when this ride is a longer wait and other times it can be a shorter wait. This used to be one of my favorite rides, and still one I really enjoy however, this attraction is long overdue for a refresh. It has become outdated. The line is about 50/50 outside and inside. Once you get inside its much better, cooler and almost to the front of the line. My main issue with the line is it moves so slow. For a ride that is continuous movement, it should be a continuous movement of the line. Recently the wait was posted at 20 minutes, but we waited almost 40. If there are people in the lightening lane, they will continue to allow them to go at the merge point so you can be stuck there for time. My issue with the ride is that its old and has seen better days, it's in need of repair. The ride is on a continuous moving track, you can control how the car moves and spins by using a joystick. Most of time the joystick does not work or will only allow you to spin in one direction. I've even been on it recently when it did not move at all. This is a shooting game to earn points. The "gun" is attached to the vehicle so you cannot not pick it up, just move it around and such. It is nearly impossible to determine where your light from the gun is and again most times, it does not work. The ride overall is fun, you can control your car, there are targets on every side of you as well as in front and behind you. It is a great ride for children. For adults, especially competitive adults its just ok. It really needs to shut down and do a massive rehab of their vehicles and guns. It would be great if the guns detached much like Men in Black at Universal. I think it would be easier to get targets. Overall, I would check it out, wait for the line to go below 30 minutes. But I do think its worth checking out.
google avatar

Faith G.

Yelp
Not the best ride. Definitely good for smaller children, but it's not horrible. We did get stuck for 10-15 minutes, and all me and my friend could do was just sit there and spin ourselves. Do not recommend unless you have a lighting pass.
google avatar

Britney M.

Yelp
It's alllllllllllright. Okay kid/ family ride. But it needs an update. The guns don't work. I feel like you shoot right at a target and don't get points lol Maybe I am just a sore loser? hahaha I don't know. I do think this ride could be updated and the bugs could be fixed. Also, it could just be made better somehow.... It seems it has been the same and it's a little boring. Just shooting in the dark with a crappy laser lol Still the line always is long for this ride. Which surprises me every single time lol I think to myself "whyyyyy" lol
google avatar

Brian F.

Yelp
Disneyland has a similar ride and this game is similar to Toy Story Mania in Hollywood Studios. It's basically a shooting game where you're shooting at targets. In this ride, there are laser pointers so you can aim at the Zs and you can even control the rotation of the car itself. This ride brings out the competitive side of me and I enjoyed aiming at the targets and racking up the points.
google avatar

Shelbi G.

Yelp
This is a great, interactive ride! Good for people of all ages and maybe a nice way to cool off on a hot day! We walked right on with the lightening lane option in app. But the line too wait wasn't too bad so it shouldn't be a long wait!
google avatar

Courtenay O.

Yelp
We had a 20 minute wait today, 1/11/23. Most of the line is outside, not inside, so the wait looks longer. I'm still awful at scoring and husband beat my score for the umpteenth time. The ride is smooth, and all of the displays before and during are fantastic. It's a shooting gallery with laser guns, and it's fun for the whole family. When you exit the ride, be sure to find your photo and link it to your magic band. I did today. It didn't work last time, but it worked today - when we visited this time before lunch and at night, when we only had to wait five minutes to get on.
google avatar

Ellen H.

Yelp
This ride was somewhat of a letdown. I think it's because we are spoiled with the better version of this ride in Disneyland California's Magic Kingdom. That ride is called Astroblasters and is much better and one of our favorite rides in the park. Why you ask? - The blasters here are stuck. They very much limit aiming or movement. Spinning the cart therefore very much becomes a must to get any points in. Unfortunately the spinning is kind of annoying and janky and not as much fun practically as the name suggests. - It's outdated. You can call it charm but ultimately you can't take away the fact that this limits the experience, especially when compared to the updated parts of the parks like the Toy Story Land in Hollywood Studios which is beautifully done and imagineered to perfection. - It's meh. The storytelling part is a bit missing and you're left to fill in the blanks yourself "what are we shooting?" "Zurg I guess?" which again is more clear and thought out in other Toy Story themed rides. What I did like was the more black lit theme of the ride. It made it very colorful and fun. All in all, still a fun family ride.

Yelp
Buzz light years space station is a Walt Disney world ride and attraction inside the magic kingdom park in the Tomorrowland section. It's is a ride for all ages featuring buzz light year or Pixar's toy story fame. The ride itself is a classic ride along shooter style attraction that spins you in all different directions as too shoot specified targets and "bad guys" to see who in your cart will score the most points. The ride is accessible to ages and heights and is very colorful and bright with tons of targets to aim at or focus on. Overall This is a solid little ride and a cool edition to magic kingdom. I'm not the biggest on shooter style attractions but if you are into that type of thing this is a good one.
google avatar

Molly M.

Yelp
Sit in a car and shoot items throughout the ride. Be careful as you need to aim at the Zs. You also need to control your cart's spin so it can be a bit tricky if you try to go side to side. They also only sit two people sadly. The line is fun with a large Buzz keeping you entertained. The theme is also well done with plenty of detail.
google avatar

Kevin A.

Yelp
Great ride for kids and adults of all ages. Also creates a little friendly computing between family members. Do your research on line to figure out which targets are worth more points to maximize your experience and show off your space ranger skills.
google avatar

Janelle F.

Yelp
Always a favorite in our family. It's a fun competition for us all. I love the interaction it creates and we're laughing the entire ride. For added fun use the knob to spin yourself around a few times and throw your other player off a bit.
google avatar

Amanda L.

Yelp
Absolutely LOVE an interactive laser shooting kind of ride where you get to do more in the ride than just sit there and have some friendly competition with your friends! (Similar rides to this are the Toy Story one in Hollywood Studios and the Men in Black ride at Universal Studios!) This ride goes the extra step to allow you to control your ride car and spin it this way and that to face whatever direction you want, which was particularly hilarious as our one friend in the ride car behind us would spin the car all over and face blank walls to sabotage our other friend sitting in the same ride car LMAO! That's one strategy to take alright! Overall, it was a ton of fun shooting lasers at Zurg and all his minions!! Absolutely love this ride and consider it a must ride!
google avatar

Megan L.

Yelp
This ride is fun but it is definitely not as good as the one in Disneyland which is why I'm only giving it 3 stars. In Disneyland, you can actually pick up the gun. This one you can't pick up the gun, it's stuck to the ride vehicle. You also can't tell if you've hit a target or not. In Disneyland, when you hit a target, it will make a sound and light up.
google avatar

Chris B.

Yelp
Super fun interactive ride that kiddos will love. My grandson wants to go on this ride over and over and beat his previous score. Fun colors and black lights make this ride light up. It's not scary at all, so it's great for all ages. Sometimes the wait time can get rather long. It is well worth it though.
google avatar

Kelly S.

Yelp
Super cute interactive attraction located in Tomorrowland. Line can be long but it moves fast. You become a junior space ranger and join Buzz Lightyear to try and defeat his arch nemesis, the evil emperor Zurg. You board your "xp-37 star cruiser" seats for two passengers, you have a joystick that allows you to spin 360 degrees, each ranger has a lax or blaster gun that you point and shoot and all sorts of glow in the dark z shaped targets to rack up points. The adventure takes you deep into the gamma quadrant with all sorts of great scenery, and images as you battle through space. The ride is really fun, make sure to check out the digital photos at the end of the attraction.
google avatar

Phil H.

Yelp
Still one of my favorite shooting gallery rides. If you're a fan of Pixar and the Toy Story movies you'll like this one. As your battle car moves through different rooms and scenes there are a ton of fun creatures and targets to shoot at. Plus the controls enable you to spin the car around to get as some targets as you leave the area. I like to waiting area too as it's air conditioned there and the animated life size Buzz Lightyear is pretty cool.
google avatar

Yelp
Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin is located in Tomorrowland within Disney's Magic Kingdom. It's a family friendly themed ride that is continuously loading, with a walk-on to the ride. Our family visited Disney World during the last week of July. There wasn't a waitline for Buzz Lightyear, so we immediately got on. During our visit, fast pass system was inoperable. Social distancing markers were setup for the queue of 6 ft social distancing. Hand sanitize stations were placed throughout the ride. The ride is a dark, slow ride. You do have the capability of spinning your space ranger to hit different marked targets on the ride. You have two different scoreboards as this is a 2-seat passenger ride. You could fit 3 if you wanted to though! This ride allows you to hit markers of a variety of Emperor Zurg's soldiers. Different marked soldiers could give you a higher score. After the ride, you can see your score and picture from the ride. It also drops you off into a merchandise store, very similar to the Buzz Lightyear ride at Disneyland California. Super fun and easy ride!
google avatar

Katy C.

Yelp
I don't really understand the hype around this ride because I always get a terrible score. I don't feel like the gun is very accurate at all (or maybe that's just me!) but it's a fun ride to go on with someone you're competing with! I got my highest score ever on our last visit (still only 32,000). I really like the big Buzz Lightyear and giant ViewMaster in the queue. The wait for this one can get pretty long but we went in the standby line last time since it was under 1 hour. The visuals are cartoonish and very neon, with lots of moving pieces everywhere and targets for you to hit. You can control the motion of your cart by moving the joystick so you can position yourself to get more targets, or just prevent your partner from hitting their targets! My tactic is just to shoot constantly from beginning to end and try to aim towards the targets as best as I can. It's just a fun thing and I think little kids love it. It's not a must-do for me, though.
google avatar

Alexa S.

Yelp
I live this ride! It's fun, different, and cool (temperature wise). We had fast passes, but it still took a while. They were wheelchair accessible, but you have to transfer from your chair to the box thing. You go through and shoot at little things using a laser. You get points for hitting the pieces and you and your partner can compete. It's super colorful throughout and eye stimulating. You also control if You spin or not, so you don't have to if you get dizzy easily.

Joseph P.

Yelp
The employees continued to allow lighting lane personnel to fill in all the seats without mixing any stand by personnel in. we started with 30 mins wait time and ended up waiting for 2 hours because of the system the employees were using
google avatar

Melissa B.

Yelp
These are teacups in space armed with laser blasters! Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin is a very engaging ride for all ages. On this ride your mission is to defeat Zurg and his accomplices. While on your mission you shoot at targets to earn points while moving through a battle zone on all sides. There's a controller that allows you to spin your spaceship. Pro Tip: make sure your riding partner doesn't have full control over the joystick this ride can spin more than the teacups and reverse spin which can make for a really nauseating mission!!!!
google avatar

Karen N.

Yelp
Not sure what was supposed to be so great about this ride. My daughter and I sat next to each other and started target practice. Unfortunately, our weapons might have been broken. We didn't rack up any points, nor did we see any laser light coming out of the weapon. After a few attempts, we let go of our weapons and sat on the ride with our hands in our laps. Even though the spinner worked on our cart, it doesn't ramp up the experience when your weapon is a dud.
google avatar

Joe J.

Yelp
This is a great ride for the whole family. Something that small kids will love, and older adults that may not want to do the lines or coasters can do with the family. It's a slow paced shoot em up adventure where you compete against each other shooting bad guys and helping Buzz Lightyear save the day.
google avatar

Kara M.

Yelp
I'm trying to ride everything at the Magic Kingdom while I have my annual pass for a year, so when I saw that this ride had a five minute wait I went for it! I'm not terribly familiar with Toy Story, but this ride is affiliated with that movie. This ride feels a tad dated, but I do like all of the bright theming inside of it. This is a good attraction for those looking for something that isn't too much of a wild ride. You ride along and shoot at things, you can also spin the vehicle you are in around in a full circle. The lines are often quite long here, but I'm not sure that this ride is necessarily fast pass worthy as the Magic Kingdom has so many great rides. If you can get in here with a 20 minute or less wait, this ride is worth doing.
google avatar

Anita S.

Yelp
This is one of our favorite rides at MK because it's one that everyone can have fun with. The line is themed and moves quickly. You ride through the experience while shooting your laser gun at targets, getting as many points as possible. If you look online, there are cheats for how to get a huge number of points, but I've skipped doing that and we just keep aiming and shooting! We do like the one in Hollywood Studios more, but this is always a hit regardless.
google avatar

Lorie L.

Yelp
This ride offers two "lasers" to shoot at Zurg symbols. Each player accumulates points as the target is hit. A spin lever sits in the middle of the car so the players can decide which way to turn their car. Oftentimes there are targets at all angles. Overall it's a fun time but I found it hard to shoot the targets and there's so many red laser beams I'm not sure how you know which beam belongs to your gun. More than 2 people can fit in the car but there's only that number of guns. You can use a fast pass for this ride but if not, just keep an eye on wait times. It'll fluctuate and will sometimes be as low as 20 minutes.
google avatar

Cynthia V.

Yelp
Join up with Star Command as you take on the evil Emperor Zurg in this wacky, spinning laser tag ride! Anytime I feel like I am killing it and hitting all of the targets, I look down and see that I, in fact, am terrible at this game. Maybe I am trying too hard....nevertheless, I still love this ride and look forward to it every trip! Two adults can fit per car and there are only 2 laser guns per car, so keep that in mind when separating your family to ensure everyone can enjoy the ride. The ride itself is decent in length and slow moving, so the line can build up to be pretty long. If you are able to snag a fast pass for this one as perhaps your 4th FP of the day (after you have used your other 3), then do it! Otherwise, I think the 3 Mountains, Peter Pan, or Snow White are a better use of a FP.
google avatar

Ariel W.

Yelp
Grab your blaster and defeat evil Zurg in this fun attraction based on Toy Story. Located in Tomorrowland you board an omnimover vehicle and blast at targets in the day glow scenes as your vehicle moves past them. You can even spin your vehicle around by pulling down a lever. I like that this ride is interactive even though I am not very good at it. My daughter easily quickly racked up thousands of more points than I did. They take your picture at the end of the ride which I didn't even notice. The look of concentration on my face was truly hilarious. The wait for this ride on the day we were there was around half an hour in the standby line. I wouldn't wait more than that. Toy Story fans are able to meet Buzz himself in his area across from the ride.
google avatar

Tairyn A.

Yelp
This is an OK ride. Certainly popular, lines can be upwards of two hours if you decide that you need to get on this ride without a fast pass. After all the loops, and turns to get to the space ranger to get your instructions. You are then seated in a space pod you can turn depending on where you have to shoot. Oh yes, you have to shoot Zorc and other enemies of the intergalactic alliance. This part is kind of fun. Too short of a ride of course, but is entertaining. Geed for all ages. The kiddies sure love it!
google avatar

Joe P.

Yelp
This ride rocks! If you want to impress your friends and family to score the maximum (999,999) follow the below instructions. 1. Save Your Trigger Finger: You don't have to keep pressing your finger and releasing it to make the weapon shoot. The best way to shoot the blasters is by keeping your thumb on the trigger and hold down at all times. 2. Keep Shooting: You can shoot targets more than once and still earn points. Once your find "Big Point Targets" try to hit them several times. 3. "Big Point Targets" Locations a. In the first room, concentrate your weapon on the large orange/red robot. On the inside of it's left hand the target will earn you 100,000 points per hit. Once you are out of range of the Robot's "Big Point Target", spin the ride vehicle around to shoot the claw located near the ceiling on the right side of the track. Each success shot is worth 100,000 points per hit. The claw is easier to hit if you are past it and on the way into the second room. Some players have reported to be at 999,999 before you leave the first room. b. In the second room find the volcano located on the back wall. Try to shoot the highest "Z". You will earn 50,000 points per hit. Once are out of range of the volcano, shoot at the targets near the monster in a box. Each target is worth 50,000 points per hit. c. In the third room, find Zurg on the right side. Aim at the "Z" target on the bottom of his spaceship. The target is worth 100,000 points per hit. This target can only be hit before and after you are face to face with Zurg. When you are closer to Zurg the weapon is unable to fire low enough. d. In the fourth room (The Dark Room) labeled "Emergency Escape Hatch". Even though there are no targets to be seen in this room, if you keep your hand on your trigger you can earn 300 to 400 points for constantly shooting (this is an easy way for small kids to score some points too). e. The fifth room (The Video Room) has a video of Zurg's ship. No "Big Point Targets" in this room. If you still need points aim your weapon at the "Z" targets on the ships. f. The sixth room (The Final Scene) No "Big Point Targets" in this room. Your ship will disengage your spinning privileges. If you still need the points shoot at the "Z" targets around Zurg. Don't forget to smile for your ride picture. 4. While on the ride take a picture of your 999,999 score and show the picture to the cast member at the photo area. They will present you with a prize...a Galactic Hero button as a free souvenir (courtesy of me...just kidding) for all your hard work defeating Zurg. 5. Tips for small children: Advise kids who are old enough to shoot but might have problems hitting the "Z" targets to keep shooting no matter what. Even if a child never hits a single target they will receive at least 1,300 points for keeping their hand on the trigger at all times during the ride. This will allow even the smallest recruit to "rank" in the second division of "Space Scout" on the scoreboard at the end of the ride. Follow this advice my nephews (6 and 8) were both able to score 999,999. Good luck

Yelp
One of my favorite rides in the park. It's a constantly moving ride, so the line is pretty much always moving, except for when the fast pass line is being shuffled in. Each car sits up to three (2 adults, 1 small child) or two adults comfortably. There are two guns in each car, so keep that in mind when deciding how many to sit in the car. There are a lot of fun themed items throughout the ride. You shoot at the Z targets and earn points for firing, and for hitting the bulls-eye. Towards the end there is a photo op. Be sure to check out the photo when you get off the ride. If you are an annual pass holder, you can download the digital copy of the photo on your Disney Experience account. Overall: A Fun ride, especially for lovers of this movie line!

Yelp
Our family loves this ride.  We always try to see who can get the best score.  It spins and moves and your mission is to protect the galaxy from the Evil Emperor Zurg.  You will have to shoot targets in the dark and help Buzz Lightyear complete his mission.  The kids are going to love this ride.  To infinity and beyond.

Yelp
I've been on Buzz Lightyear quite a few times. It's usually always got a fast pass available, and it's a lot of fun to compete with someone one-on-one as they sit beside you in these cozy little two-person vehicles. It's a shooting ride where you have to aim your little laser pointer guns at Zerg saw blade bulls eyes for several rooms. The one neat thing about this ride, though, is that for the majority of the ride, you get to dictate which way your vehicle faces with a little joystick in between y'all. So either work together and take turns or fight over who gets the better angle on a certain thing that you both have to shoot. It's all great fun. Towards the end of the ride, there's a kool little CGI screen that you get to shoot at. I have no idea if it actually registers your shots and increases your score, but it's a really kool effect that I look forward to. The animatronics and the set design throughout the ride are really nicely done and don't feel outdated or anything. I like this ride a lot, and I recommend it.

Yelp
Definitely a mandatory visit for me every time I'm at Magic Kingdom. It's usually good for a FastPass just about 80% of the time you look for one, but even without one, I've never had more than a "45 minute" wait for standby. It usually ends up being that or a bit less. As the ride moves constantly (a lá Haunted Mansion or Spaceship Earth), the crowds flow through fairly quickly. As it's been here for quite a long time, I don't know that the line has ever gone over 60 minutes that I have seen. The theming here completely immerses you in the Toy Story world, and you feel like you're on a mission with Buzz. While the ride is exciting overall, it is a slower, tame ride, so it's ok for the family. Tips: --You don't have to depress the trigger every time you want to shoot, you can just keep it held down the whole time if you're getting a bit sore. --Aiming for the "Z" emblems (on Zurg's clothing, for example) will also get you some sweet points in addition to the "Z" targets Note: If you're prone to motion sickness or have sensory issues, may want to tread cautiously, or at least not jerk the car around a lot while you're going through. There is also a tunnel near the end that has spinning stars overhead; can see how it might make some folks a bit dizzy. This ride is pretty "busy" with the lights and colors.

Yelp
I was kind of bummed that Space Ranger Spin wasn't the same as Astro Blasters in Disneyland. I'm sure the layout of the ride itself is probably the same but my biggest complaint is that the blasters aren't detachable. Usually I'm having competitions with my friends to see who can get the higher scores but there's less mobility with the attached blasters. Overall, it's a fun ride where you go through the different rooms and you get to aim at the Z targets on all the different characters and props. You're also able to rotate your car so you can get a better angle for certain targets you're trying to hit. Pro tip from my friend that I always lose to is that you can aim at one of the walls in the beginning of the ride so you can see where your laser is and you have a better idea of where you're aiming at. Otherwise once you're in the rooms you have no reference point.

Yelp
This ride had a 55 minute wait.......more than Space Mountain! I get it that it's great for people with small children, or people who don't like roller coasters; but it's nothing special. The premise is 2 people in a car with a mission to shoot aliens, (Z's,) and helping Buzz Lightyear. Each car is equipped with 2 "ray" guns that can shoot the aliens. Individual scores are recorded next to the "ray" guns so that you can compete with your friends and family. The car is also equipped with a lever that can spin the car around 360 degrees, which is pretty cool! It's a colorful ride, and it's fun....but for the wait there are better options. (It's also similar to the Men in Black ride at Universal Studios and I think that is a much more exciting ride.)

Yelp
A really cute family ride. We loved that 2 adults and 1 child could fit in one car, which are on a constantly moving platform. The atmosphere is great and we loved that we could control the spinning. It was fun to try to beat each other by gaining more points. Every family loves a little competition, right?! Good use of fastpass, especially for families with little ones. I probably wouldn't ride if I were in Magic Kingdom solo.

Yelp
Very very fun! Tips: in the first room there's a orange robot if you hit the inside left hand it's 100k. Turn lightly on the lever because it can be a little jerky. At the very end there's huge flashing lights for the picture but it's rough. Just close your eyes or look away. But very much worth the wait.

Yelp
Fun ride for young and old alike, this Buzz Lightyear ride pits you against Zurg and his horde of space minions. A laser canon pointed and delivered to various points throughout the ride will accumulate points for you. This is an older ride, so the only way you know if you're hitting your target is by the red laser pointer that your gun emits in a systematic fashion if you hold the trigger down. It's otherwise a static ride with dioramas of scenes with Zurg in it and other ships and space stuff. The Hollywood Studios ride is much better...

Yelp
We randomly stopped by here on our way to Space Mountain, we were already in the park enjoying the Extra Magic Hours and the line was only about 10-15 minutes. It's a fun, interactive ride where you are trying to hit targets. What's funny is that they take your picture during it, which I did not realize, and ours was pretty hilarious after ... my friend and I were both very intent on playing the game, apparently! I wouldn't wait more than 20-30 minutes for this one but if you're a Toy Story fan, especially of Buzz Lightyear, then it would be worth it.

Yelp
We love this ride for some reason. Must be because I destroy my wife on points, her score around 7,500, mine 200,000.

Yelp
I like that this park is at 25-45% capacity. You can enjoy without running into folks everywhere. Wear your mask, wash your hands, take hand sanitizer and have fun! God bless Florida. California: look at what you missed!

Yelp
This is just one of many rides that are continuous loading at Disney which makes it a great ride to do without a Fastpass+. When you arrive you head down the stand by line into the Space Ranger headquarters. As you walk through you are transported into what feels like a space ranger station. As you walk there is art, sounds, and even a large Buzz Lightyear to help make the time and the atmosphere more entertaining. Once you clear the final boarding area you will step onto a moving sidewalk. From there you hop onto your space ranger ship and the fun begins. As you rig\de through you are encouraged to shoot Evil Emperor Zurg soldiers. What makes this ride so fun is competing with your co-pilot and seeing who can outshoot with a higher score. I also love that the ship themself can be manually spun with a lever you control. When you arrive at the end you disembark where you can obtain your picture and buy a fun souvenir. This ride can have long waits but by being a continuous loading ride the time goes by pretty quickly. Also, take note this ride is perfect for everyone in the family.

Yelp
While the objective of this ride is pretty much the same, I don't think that this ride is as good as the Astro Blaster. Here are a few reasons why. For this ride, it's best that you just press and hold on to the trigger. There's no need to keep pulling the trigger. You can't tell the value of each target just by looking at the target. You kind of have to figure if a target is hard to hit that the score would be higher. You also do not get an immediate feedback of a successful hit. With that said, this ride is still very popular and the standby lines will sure to be long!

Yelp
Before coming to Disney, we watched videos of many of the rides to get the kids excited. After watching the video for this ride, I pegged it near the bottom of our priorities list. Big mistake - the Space Ranger Spin was one our favorite rides, and was definitely the biggest (pleasant) surprise we had. The video did NOT do it justice. We hit most of the attractions in Tomorrowland after a late afternoon deluge, which helped us to encounter my favorite kind of lines: no lines. The queue was cool and somewhat interactive, and mostly indoors, so summer attendees will be thankful for that. The ride is another archetypal Disney conveyor ride; two per car, and you roll through room after room shooting monsters and other baddies, lazer-tag style. The colors, sights and sounds are a bit sensory overload, even within the confines of one of the sensory capitals of the planet. The aforementioned lazer tag elements are what really take this attraction to a winning level. You get two lazer canons and a chair swivel stick on each car, and about three or four minutes to zap as many baddies as you can! Kids liked it, parents loved it! Oh, and you get to see a picture of yourself saving the world after the ride is over!
