Buzzed Bull Creamery - Cincinnati, OH

Ended up driving quite a bit to come here and try some ice cream. Well... it was totally worth it! Ice cream flavors were fantastic and the experience was very fun for kids. We tried a few options including a Strawberry Shortcake that ended up being my favorite. Totally recommend coming here for a sweet experience. Can’t wait to go back!

Making a visit here is the perfect way to pull out the inner child and all of those wonderful ice cream cravings. It is a fun experience, and you get to watch the ice cream made in front of you. A big variety of ice cream options that you can add any liquor too. This was delicious!

In one word, this place was: disappointing. We visited this location for dessert on a Saturday evening. It was busy, but not crowded. Only two people on staff, though, so the wait was longer than anticipated. They ran out of cookies, so a third of their menu was unavailable and there was no indication that was the case prior to ordering. Since we chose to add booze—because that’s the gimmick of the place, we couldn’t get a refund, because according to the staff, Ohio state law doesn’t allow refunds on alcohol. As a result, we chose two regular ice creams with alcohol. One of the ice creams didn’t taste like it had booze. The ice cream itself wasn’t anything special—I am biased, because I make my own ice creams, so I can compare on that note. While we ate our ice cream, other customers were waiting and asking about their order. After which the staff, quite rudely, responded to customers that they were going as fast as they could and customers would just have to wait. No refunds on booze also meant that customers couldn’t get their money back. It was a spectacle that was both unfortunate and off-putting. Skip this place. The décor is neat, but while the concept is novel, the execution is lacking.

Amazing place!!! You can get buzzed and non buzzed ice-creams and same goes for the coffee. They churn the ice cream right in front of you and use liquid nitrogen to freeze it. In the buzzed ice cream you can definitely taste the booze, loved the whiskey infused one and the vodka chocolate ice cream. Would definitely recommend going here!!!

So, to start off, I should explain why I gave this place a 4 star instead of 5. Because this place was awesome. The sole reason is that I don't like the taste of alcohol, and that is a big part of their appeal. As I walked in and saw the full bar, the "buzzed" started to make sense. The concept is pretty simple: decide whether you want liquor in it, choose a base ice cream, add a mix-in, and pick what type of alcohol you want in it. The use liquid nitrogen in the process, too. So, I chose a buzzed dessert with bourbon. The flavors mixed well, but the presense of the bourbon was always in the forefront for me. So I couldn't finish the dessert. But it was not awful. The next time I go, I will leave out the liquor and it will be amazing.

If you’re looking to get BUZZED without realizing you’re drinking - this is the place for you. (They do have options without alcohol). I hate the taste of alcohol, but the dreamsicle milkshake I ordered tasted like a regular milkshake! It was so sweet & creamy!!

The main experience is fantastic with all the ice-cream & milkshake options but the fairly recent addition of burgers makes it the perfect guilty pleasure meal. Always a quality experience and I highly recommend the Cherry cordial milkshake.

This place is a heaven for ice-cream lovers. They make ice-cream very beautifully and the process is absolutely perfect. Rich and creamy ice-cream made to perfection. They make ice-cream with booze in it. They have a wide range of ice-cream to select from and different types of booze to add in it. Must visit this place. Overall a great place to have ice-cream in downtown Cincinnati.

So it's a strip mall. You see the sign for Roll On In. You see the sign for Buzzed Bull Creamery. But they're in the same place. Also there's a Burger Bar? In the words of Robert Irvine, "what ARE you?" This concept would be passable in OTR but.........meh. So on To Buzzed Bull.........YES. Booze and ice cream? The answer is yes. So where did the last 2 stars go? The nitrogen gas they use could be a real show.......I was diggin it. But there was NO presentation. Not sure she could have made it more boring, honestly. And it doesn't seem there are specific recipes. When one ice cream wasn't coming together, she seemed to add a little more milk? At one point she actually looked confused. We're buying BUZZED ice cream! Make it a presentation! Never even saw her put alcohol in the ice cream. I'm willing to try the OTR location in hopes that they take advantage of their location.

this ice cream is so delicious!!! it is made with liquid nitrogen so it's very cold and extra creamy. you can get any of their specialty flavors buzzed or not buzzed and it gives you the alcohol pairing recommendation on the menu. the tiger stripes flavor was so yummy with the spiced rum - you can barely even taste it. honey bourbon pecan was delicious too! looks like you can also build your own ice cream with flavor/toppings/liquor if you choose, and they have pints to-go! I would definitely recommend this place for an ice cream fix, buzzed or not!

I was pleasantly surprised with this place. I figured the alcohol inclusion would mean mediocre ice cream but I was wrong. I tried the strawberry shortcake without alcohol and it was pretty great. Because the ice cream is made to order and isn't sitting around in freezers all day, the consistency and texture is really good. Very little air & ice particles, which means thick and velvety smooth ice cream. I'll be back.

OMG!!! This place is incredible! We were in Ohio visiting over the holidays and happened to pass a small yard sign, advertising the new creamery. I am SO glad my fiancé saw the sign. The server/bartender was very patient with us as we made our selections. Every order is made to order. We only had 2 orders, but she had an employee who came to the front just to check on her to see if she needed help. We only go to Ohio a few times a year, but will visit each time we're there.

This place is amazing! First off, ice cream made with liquid nitrogen is fun to begin with, but add in an amazing variety of add ins/toppings, the ability to get it buzzed (with alcohol) and non buzzed, and in ice cream or milkshake form and you have a true winner! The person helping us was knowledgeable, helpful and super fun! I will definitely be coming back! The tiger stripes was really creamy and delicious! I totally recommend that one! Pro tip-don't eat it too quickly to begin with, it will freeze your tongue!

Fun place to grab some ice cream. Options for alcoholic and non-alcoholic treats. Not a lot of alcohol mixed in but still a cool concept. Was surprised to see they make everything from scratch to order and use liquid nitrogen to chill it. Very cool to watch. Reasonably priced. Check it out on date night.

My wife and I went to the other Buzzed Bull location when we got engaged, but as I wasn't twenty-one, I had to order boring virgin ice cream. This past weekend, I was finally able to partake in the real deal. I ordered the Honey Bourbon Pecan, because even unbuzzed, Bourbon pecan ice cream is one of my favorites. I chose to get it as a milkshake, as that's my preferred method, and it was just so creamy and rich and absolutely delicious. My wife ordered the Tiger Stripes, which I liked, but wasn't blown away by, and my brother ordered the apple pie and I tried a bit. It was also very tasty. My only complaint was the price. I know "gourmet" ice cream is already going to run about $5 a scoop, and I can appreciate that, but my small shake cost $8.99. I know the alcohol adds cost, and the necessity of liquid nitrogen and the machines they use drives up the cost, but it's quite hefty for what is just a dessert, albeit a tasty one. I still decided to give the Buzzed Bull five stars, as I think it is phenomenal at what it's trying to accomplish; just know that it's going to cost a pretty penny to visit the boozed bowl.

As I've mentioned in many of my reviews at this point, I'm relatively new to the area. I just moved here from Indiana in June. That being said, my husband and I had been to the area a couple times before moving to visit his sister. One of those times happened to be the weekend my husband and I got engaged. After getting engaged, we went to the Buzzed Bull in OTR, so it's kind of a fond memory for me. My husband, unfortunately, was not quite old enough to fully enjoy buzzed ice cream, so when his brother was in town a few weekends, we decided to go. We chose this location as it had just opened. The last time, the ice cream was very tasty, but it was too cold. It hurt my teeth to eat it. I assumed this was due to the liquid nitrogen being too cold and I just thought maybe my teeth were over sensitive. This location seemed to have a better handle on the temperature and making it bearable to eat because I didn't have that issue here. I ended up getting a tiger stripes with rum, and my husband ordered the Honey Bourbon Pecan milkshake. We both realllllly enjoyed what we ordered. I thought my ice cream was yummy, and that peanut butter sauce on the top was to die for. I seriously debated asking them for extra after I started eating my ice cream because I loved it that much. I'm a sucker for dessert, so ice cream is something I'm always going to love. I will love it even more if there is alcohol in it. The Buzzed Bull perfectly combines two really awesome things, and I'm so glad I now live in Ohio and can enjoy coming here whenever I want to. I think I like this location a lot better. For one, it was not nearly as crazy busy at the one in OTR, and also, you don't have to pay for parking, so score. Also, I have high hopes for this new location as they seemed to have mastered the temperature after less than a week of being open.

My wife and I stopped in and we weren't sure what to expect, but this place is a hidden gem of deliciousness! Tasty made to order ice cream with a shot of booze? Who doesn't want some of that!

Loved the buzzed ice cream. It does take a second to make so be prepared to wait for a few moments while they prepare your ice cream however it is worth the wait. Pretty cool to watch as well. The strawberry shortcake was delicious!!! We will be back.

First of a kind experience! I really enjoy my ice cream and couldn't imagine adding alcohol. Ice cream with some chocolate chips, Graham crackers and Fireball was incredibly delicious!

They need to adjust their hours. We went Friday at 9, Saturday at 7:30, and Sunday at 4.... Every single time they were closed even though it said online it would be open. The first day it was because they ran out of supplies, second day because they were short staffed, and no explanation for the third time. So frustrating! We just want to try the ice cream but clearly they have some management issues to work out. Definitely call before making the drive to come here, we are definitely giving up.

So I love Buzzed Bull's concept, flavors and staff however; every time I've gone in there, they never have enough staff. I just was in to buy 3 regular size milkshakes and it took 40 minutes AND I received smalls instead of regular size. Did I say anything? No, because there were two other people still waiting for their ice cream that hadn't even been started and I wasn't about to wait any longer. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable but no one helps anyone. Tonight, there were two other workers there and no one came to help the girl assisting us. Granted I think someone asked her if she wanted help and she said she was good but....considering the Nitro ran out and she had to remake a milkshake and was still working on our order....I feel bad for the two people who were still waiting when we left. The counter should have two people working if there are 6-8 people in line or in progress. Will I return? Probably....I'd rather support then go to UDF but they will probably only get one more shot. This was the second time it's taken this long.

The ice cream is good, it's a fun thing to watch once, but the process takes very long. There was only one family ahead of us and it took at least 15 minutes to get our ice cream, despite the lady clearly doing her best. It just seems to take too long for the ice cream to be made to order.

This ice cream is unique and delicious! There is something for the whole family. The service is very friendly and fast considering it is made to order from scratch. It's so cool to see milk and ingredients transformed into ice cream right in front of you. Nothing else in the area like it!
