Google
A really cool American diner style breakfast place fairly centrally located in Rotterdam. Came here for breakfast based on a recommendation from a friend and it did not disappoint! The breakfast options are good and the portions are generous. Price vs food quality is good and the service is very tentative. Overall a cool concept with retro decor and a nice space to come to on a weekend with family or friends. Definitely recommended.

American style dining. We ordered the pancake basic and waffle with pull pork and then customised and added items to our liking. Turns out to be very well done and taste awesome. Hope to be able to revisit again sometime soon

This is a really cute brunch place, it has a garden in the back which is great to sit in on a sunny day. The staffs were super friendly. They use really good beans for their coffee so it tasted really good. You can even get free refills with the black coffee. We ordered to share a big plate of pancake and add multiple toppings like chicken, avocado and vegetables. You can customize your pancake to make it sweet or savory if you want. Overall I had a good experience here and would come back for the chill and relaxing atmosphere.

We had a pretty good breakfast here. I got the hangover omelette which was delicious and came with lots of bacon. I got a side of the smash browns which were also really good but served a little cold. My partner got the breakfast burrito which he said was good but mostly consisted of rice (which we don't usually see in breakfast burritos).

Came by this place on google maps. We tried the drinks, the mixed juice and the tequila sunrise, both very delicious and refreshing. We also tried the chicken and waffles, and the American classic pancakes, both very generous portions! I was excited to try the chicken and waffles and see how it would be with pulled chicken, but it was very mid. Nothing special about the taste of the chicken, the waffle was also a bit soggy. The pancakes by themselves were very good though, paired with the blueberry jam and butter and the crispy bacon was a nice taste.

The food was good! I loved the environment if the restaurant and the service was fast. I would recommend this palace for brunch, the portions are quite big and I found the chicken and waffles delicious.

It was a slow Sunday, so my friends and I decided to go out for brunch. We walked in and were greeted by a staff member. We were a group of three, and I must add there were a number of tables available. But instead, we were taken to a two-person table, with a third chair awkwardly added. We didn't argue or complain. Maybe all other tables were reserved. But we couldn't help keeping an eye on the four-person table we thought we could've had. It stayed empty throughout our entire meal and probably even after we left. Before we even put our bags down or sat down properly, the waiter was ready to ask for our drinks. It was a quite rushed. We hadn’t opened the menu. We hadn’t looked at the drinks. We asked for a minute, and the waiter stepped away. We eventually ordered our drinks and food. The coffees came fast. However, they were sour and acidic, not something I particularly enjoy. If you're coming here for the coffee, I'd say keep walking. Then we waited. And waited. Apparently, the urgency at the beginning didn't continue, or so we thought (subtle foreshadowing). When the food finally arrived, it barely fit onto the table. But we managed. The food was fine. The veggie full Jarmusch was passable. The breakfast burger was what you'd expect. If you ask for butter with the French toast... you'll get enough for the entire table. A very generous scoop. In general wasn't the most tasty food. What really stuck with me though was the atmosphere. While we were eating, a waiter kept pacing by our table. Saying nothing. Just walking close and staring. It felt like we were under pressure. As if there was a timer. The vultures hovering felt like they were about to take the plate from under our nose. It's not like the food was terrible or the service was rude. But it felt like we were subtly being told to leave from the moment we entered.

We came to this diner after a friend of ours suggested it. The place really looks like an american diner; we sat in a table outside and we really liked the atmosphere. We ordered an orange juice and a mixed one, straberries pancakes and french toast. Everything was so delicious and the portions were very big! In particular, we liked the french toast served with jam, orange slices and wiped cream. The staff was extremly nice too. We are 100% coming back here soon and we cant wait to bring also family and friends! We reccomand to come here and try french toast but actually all the items on the menu sounds so interesting.

Yelp
I first saw By Jarmusch on an Instagram post and became intrigued. In the picture, the décor was very bright and open and seemed like it was inviting me in. I was also interested because this place supposedly served American style breakfast/brunch all day. As I really miss brunch, I knew I had to check it out. I went this past Sunday and the bright welcoming feel was definitely there. But so was a long American brunch style wait. The place was packed! But we didn't mind the wait and were seated about 20 minutes after arriving. The food that we saw coming from the kitchen looked good. Big fluffy pancakes, eggs and bacon and all sorts of breakfast delights. I didn't order that though. Nope, I thought I'd order a Philly cheesesteak in Rotterdam. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't a Philly cheesesteak. It was a nice beefy sandwich. Next time I'll likely stick to traditional breakfast type food as it did look good coming out. Oh, the steak and eggs were good! Service was a bit slow, but they were packed as I previously mentioned. I'll definitely go back again and order something different at a not so busy time.

Yelp
I absolutely recommend this restaurant! Found it on google, since american pancake restaurants are very rare in the Netherlands. Great menu, nice atmosphere and good coffee (all you can drink)!

Yelp
I feel like this diner has fantastic potential from brunch to all day breakfast - I was very excited as I had read there were mind(s) from Spirit behind this restaurant, however food falls flat. A lot of the items feel pre-prepared, which is underwhelming for a basic diner menu. The food fails to be either satisfyingly wholesome as a traditional diner, or to feel fresh/updated. Classic Egg breakfast - Eggs were fine Hash browns - flat and dry, feels like they were pre-cooked and just reheated on the griddle. Throwing chives and hollandaise on them could not mask how stale/dry they were. Bacon was also dry, I can see crisp bacon being a choice and am fine with that but given how dry the entire plate was, it really did not help. Sloppy Joe (Vegetarian) - Bread was lightly toasted, but still somehow felt stale/dry. Chilli was ok, didn't blow my mind (but I do have good spice tolerance), relish was 'eh' did not seem thought out. Spring onions also look like they have been drying in a fridge pre-cut for a full day, minor detail, but given the state of the whole plate it didn't help. Tea - Even the 'fresh' mint tea the leaves were wilted like they have been left outside for 2 days, a simple thought as to keep the stems in water to stop them drying out would just give it a step up, though this would be a finer detail compared with the food issues. Coffee - Espresso is pretty average (I love that they have soy milk option, but my order was very burnt/split), the bottomless filter is unfortunately probably the best thing here besides the decor. I really hope these are just teething issues because I love the restaurant concept. However without improvement I will probably not try them again.

Yelp
Literally the best breakfast in Rotterdam. My boyfriend got the chicken and waffles and loved it. It was more of like a pulled chicken and it was amazing. I got banana pancakes. It came with 3 and they were the best banana cakes I've ever had. Also got a side of over easy eggs and toast and just great. The service was awesome and so was the atmosphere. We light and bright and aesthetically pleasing. I would def make time to add this to your to do list while visiting. Great place for munchies .

Yelp
By Jarmusch is an American style diner serving American breakfast dishes like pancakes, waffles and eggs and bacon. The place has a very authentic feel to it and even the waitresses are dressed in a traditional attire. It's the attention to traditional details that makes this place stand out. The free refills, the blueberry pancakes which taste very American. Great stuff and happy that such a place exists in Holland and even better in my home town. Any room for improvement? Yes, to really be an all-American diner the place should open at 7 AM or even better at 6 AM to really cater for the early worker. After all, Rotterdam is a blue-collar city ;-)

Yelp
Great classic club sandwich, with a decent cup of coffee. A 'simple' lunch as a simple lunch should be and should always have been.
