Ok, I should preface this review by saying we were vacationing in Big Sky from Los Angeles with a family group of 17. And I did not care for any food that much while here. I felt most of the food in the town was a little bland and way over priced. Not to mention, all the restaurants closed super early and it was challenging to have dinner without going super early.
This place looks more like a hole in the wall bar with some dining tables spread throughout. It did not present well when I walked in, having to navigate the oddly placed bar and cramped tables, into the "back room" which had "curtains" over the windows that were actually sheets and looked like something I would've done to my windows when I lived in my fraternity house in college. However, it was repeatedly recommended when asked for good food in the area. It doesn't surprise me, since the bar is not set very high in Big Sky, Montana. Nonetheless, the food was ok, nothing special. I had the trout. Don't ask me why; I guess I was trying to be healthy. Same for the drinks but they were slightly better than adequate. Look, we all had a good time because our family was together but if I were near home, I would never come back here. Plus, the bathrooms were less than clean and you had to walk through what seemed like an alley to get there. Again, this place seemed like a dive bar that served food. Our waiter tried to accommodate us the best he could, but you could tell he had never had a party this big before. And when the check came, I was even more annoyed because everything was overpriced. Big Sky is a beautiful place, but the cuisine as a whole needs improvement.
