We had an absolutely wonderful experience dining at Byblos restaurant in Budapest! From start to finish, everything was top starting from the food, the ambiance, to the the service.
We started with the tabouleh, which was fresh and vibrant. The houmous with lahmeh was out of this world — creamy, rich, and perfectly seasoned.
And we were pleasantly surprised by how generous they were with the bread — something you don’t always find, but it made the experience even better. The houmous paired with the warm, spiced meat was perfect.
For the main dish, we took the chicken fakhara, beautifully baked in a pot and topped with bread. The presentation alone was impressive, and the flavor was very tasty and aromatic.
The absolute star of the dishes in our opinion was the knafeh with ice cream. WOW!! The contrast between the warm, gooey, cheesy dessert and the cold, creamy ice cream was unbelievable. Every bite was a perfect harmony of textures and temperatures.
We also had passion fruit juice to drink, which was very refreshing.
Finally we want to give a huge shoutout to the lovely waitress, Nour! She was incredibly welcoming, always smiling, and made us feel right at home. Friendly, attentive, and full of positive energy. I guess she made our experience even more special.
This restaurant is highly recommended for anyone who wants to have authentic Lebanese cuisine with generous portions and warm hospitality.
