We chose this place based on its reputation and made a reservation in advance. Unfortunately, despite the reservation, no table was actually reserved or prepared when we arrived. The atmosphere of the restaurant is not very inviting and does not really encourage you to stay longer. Service felt strained. The waiter seemed lost, which was understandable as he was responsible for the entire area and all tables, from taking orders through coordinating service to handling payments. Food and drinks: The pitcher lemonade is excellent and absolutely worth ordering. Arayess toska: ★★★★★ Kofta: ★★★★☆ Chicken shawarma: ★★★★☆ What could be improved: Almost every dish had a dominant sour note, which was disappointing and overshadowed the otherwise good flavors. The overall service setup also needs better organization. Overall impression: Strong individual dishes and a great lemonade, but inconsistent service, atmosphere and flavor balance reduce the overall experience.

Byblos Restaurant in Budapest impresses with delicious, aromatic food and a very stylish, modern interior. The quality of the dishes is high, and it's clear that great emphasis is placed on fresh ingredients and presentation. However, I was less impressed with the mandatory 13.5% service charge on the total bill. In my opinion, such a high, automatically calculated fee should be communicated more clearly and not imposed without any option to choose. This slightly detracts from the otherwise very positive overall impression. Nevertheless, it's a highly recommended restaurant for anyone who wants to enjoy high-quality Levantine cuisine in an elegant setting.

Hands down the best bagels in the world! Fresh, perfectly baked, and packed with amazing flavors. Every bite is a delight, and the fillings are always fresh and generous. The place has a great atmosphere and friendly staff, making it a perfect stop for any bagel lover in Budapest. A little note: it’s slightly expensive, and they add about 13.5% service to the bill, but it’s definitely worth it for the quality and taste.

Cozy place with awesome location. The menu had great variety. The food was good (not very spicy, more on the safe side), serving sizes were perfect. The service was quick, the staff spoke English well, but not everyone spoke Hungarian.

We visited Byblos for New Year’s Eve. The atmosphere was very cozy, the staff were professional, and the food had a great taste with authentic Arabic spices. The live Arabic music also added a nice touch to the evening. However, the food portions were quite small compared to the prices. Additionally, the service charge was around 13%, which felt much higher than normal. Overall, it was a good experience with excellent flavors, but a bit expensive for the amount of food served. My rating: 4/5.

Amazing Lebanese food. Tried a lot of dishes. Istvan is a great host and will guide you with your orders. Would recommend the Lamb khashkash - super tender and great taste. The service charge is really high at 13.5% but otherwise the food is priced okay.

Absolutely fantastic experience! The food was authentic and full of flavor — especially the hummus, grilled meats, falafel and tabouleh salad. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. You can really feel the passion for Lebanese cuisine in every dish. Definitely one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Budapest — highly recommended!

Best food I tried so far. István and László were very welcoming. They even have traditional oud player (syrian instrument) so we had a real Libanese experience. The chicken liver is a must have. They have arabic speciality coffe and pretty coctails, teas as well. I can't recommend this place enough. Just give it a try and you won't forget what you got.
