A quaint eatery..... nestled in South Kolkata s Hindustan Park.....with a revamped easy on the eye decor.....serving some excellent quality bong bites..... Weekend special morog polao is a must try with fish fry...chop....or other equally mouth watering delicacies.....along with some great desserts to complete the culinary exercise

A regular haunt of mine since I was in high school. Love the malpua, tea and sandwiches. Do visit the byloom store as well. One of my favourite places to sit and write. So cosy and soothing.

Not being much interested in clothes, I go to the eatery there. The prawn cutlet was good and the luchi kosha mangsho. So was the fish roll. But do stay away from the beverages with milk. Unpalatable. The crowd is decent and they have just refurbished the place. Pricing is also reasonable and no problem with parking in the lane in front.

This was the first time I was visiting the canteen at Byloom after they newly did the interiors. The new colour scheme is lovely modern and makes the place look bigger and chic. The food was as good as it has always been, we tried the fish fry and fish roll, both of which brought me back to the time when Bijoli Grills catering used to make these for marriage functions and we would wait with bated breath to see if the menu card featured any one of these. It caters not only to the tastebuds but also to nostalgia. The luchi mangsho that we had after this was also 10 on 10 and we were left with no space for desserts. We will just have to go back for those another day!

My review is for the store and not the cafe. Great collection of sarees. You can get sarees of all tastes and price ranges. Very aesthetically designed store as well. The staff are friendly and are eager to help. I would definitely visit Byloom again.

My wife visited byloom canteen with two of her friends on 16.07.25 and had mutton chop, egg kochori and tea. As she liked the mutton chop she ordered for two more to take back home. Shockingly, when we had the mutton chop at home, it was a different product, no mutton inside the chop. The stuffing was different and very bad. My wife revisited the canteen on 20th evening and complained which was fortunately accepted. This was very unprofessional attitude and cheating of customers for home delivery product thinking that feedback will never come and incident will be overlooked. Request to the canteen authority please do not put the reputation and image of product and service at stake for a marginal gain. This may prove to be very expensive.

Though the place serves snacks but I mainly went to buy sarees for which it's famous.
