Yesterday my sister and I had dropped into the Byloom Cafe after a puja shopping spree. I had heard a lot about the food, but was sorely disappointed!
The prawn cutlets were more crumb than prawn. The coating was so stiff and thick that we could hardly taste the prawn.
We had ordered 'Radhaballabhi and Alu Dum'. That too was such a let down! The potatoes of the Alu Dum were inconsistently cooked, and the dish lacked any flavour whatsoever. As for the Radhaballabhi, the less said, the better! A thick 'Bhatura' was passed off as a Radhaballabhi. I can understand innovation. But when that innovation makes a mockery of something that is a Bengali favourite, it is really not acceptable. Very, very disappointing!
