Byng Street Local Store

Came here as it was highly recommended by some folk and it didn’t disappoint. We came around 1140am and was immediately found a table. Tap water was give. And our menus. We had a lovely coffee to start while we waited for the lunch menu to kick on. Soup of the day and prawn spaghetti were ordered and were on our table very fast. Both tasty.

A great Cafe in Orange, very busy some times you wait for a table and service but that's not a problem when it's worth it . Great food and coffee and friendly team members .

Celebrated a birthday dinner here with family. Can't fault the food very tasty, (the share plates are a great way to eat). They have a good selection of drinks available, loved my French martini. Service and atmosphere were also fantastic. Definitely recommend Byng Street nights

The food was a solid 10/10! The hash browns were perfectly crunchy, which I absolutely loved. The coffee was also fantastic—just what I needed! ☕️

Feb-25: the souffle is still amazing we got one each, the paired sourdough really hits the spot, coffees were excellent. 2020: Service is efficient and professional. We felt very Covid safe here and really enjoyed the coffee. Lunch is very well priced and I could not believe how good the food is. The salmon tart with smoked salmon and salad was well balanced and all the flavours worked well together. The gruyere souffle was decadent and I loved it. It is a dish to be shared, it's too rich for one person, but it was a real stand out. The cafe is incredibly clean and also has a nice take away selection

Best coffee and lovely breakfast. I have been a frequent visitor to Orange for more than 20 years and I have been drinking my coffee at Byng Street. The coffee is consistently excellent. There were six of us for breakfast. Two wanted variations to the standard offering- this was accommodated without fuss. I had the most delicious porridge with apple and cinnamon and nuts and a caramel crumb. Very popular spot so get here early to grab a seat.

A decent-sized café with excellent service and delicious food. Unfortunately, the coffee lacked punch and didn’t quite hit the mark—we had to send it back. Staff were accommodating and quick to resolve it, but a bit more kick in the brew would make the experience perfect.

A busy little spot with friendly, accommodating staff. The smoked chicken salad was nice but a bit too acidic for my taste, while the salmon poke bowl hit the spot. Coffees were solid. Overall, it’s an efficient and cosy neighbourhood cafe especially when travelling 👍🏻☕️🚗

Such a great little place for breakfast, really enjoyed my time in orange and most importantly getting my day started right with a hearty breakfast and delicious Coffee at this local gem that has country charm to burn! Ps you have to try their Relish! You won't be disappointed.

So far I have only tried the coffee, but that was great! It has great verandas, opens early (7am), and has a dedicated takeout window. It's in a corner of town where there is really not much else around, so it becomes a bit of an oasis. Update: have now had lunch here too, an avocado and BBQ pork slider, and it was delicious!

What a great little find. I decided to forego the $20 motel breakfast and look for something a little better. This cafe is quite hip but comfortable serves good coffee and my breakfast of bacon and eggs with roasted tomato was excellent with masses of very nice smoked bacon. I cannot comment on any other meals here but based on my experience, give it s go!

Love this place... It's a block away from where I grew up so perfect distance to run down the road for wonderful coffee, read a paper, escape from the parentals while enjoying the sun in their courtyard. Does great food made from fresh ingredients with a changing menu so usually something new each time you go. They have a take away coffee window for the on the way to work coffee, a delicatessen for grabbing cake, lunch or something for dinner at home, local items I.e cookies, oils and jams on sale in case you forgot a birthday or just want to get something you enjoy for yourself, and open for breakfast, lunch, dinner or parties with restaurant quality yummy food. I recommend this place for locals, visitors or the traveller driving through. :-)

Gorgeous Cafe off the main drag. Sit inside or enjoy the sun whilst dining alfresco on the verandah. Good coffee, friendly service, food is ok.

It was a rather busy Saturday so that probably affects my review, but everything was rather mediocre. The coffee was bland, the food wasnt worth the price, and the table service was almost non existent. I went to this place about 2 years ago when it was fairly basic, and came back to see if things have changed. The place looks much nicer than before, but I don't think I'll be coming back. Food cost more for a lesser quality, compared to other cafes in the area.

Arrived at 2pm to be told by staff that they had ran out of food and that we'd need to choose from what was pre-made. Passing through on my way back to Sydney and was looking for a nice place for lunch. It's a nice venue but not impressed by the menu! I will be trying somewhere different next time I pass through Orange :( this place might be good on the weekend but I don't recommend during the week.
