BYRNE'S CAPITOL BAR

I visited Byrne's Capitol bar on Ladyswell street during October 2021. As far as I could see, it's a one room pub. Most of the customers seemed to be local, many knew each other. There is a TV, it was showing a rugby match. When I ordered a pint bottle of Guinness, I was asked "in a half-pint glass?", which is a good sign. The following night it seemed closed as I passed about 8pm, but was open as I returned about 10pm. I intend to visit again.

Watched the horse races broadcast in Irish while sipping a very good pint. Iontach.

We had a wonderful time here. We went to dance to Muriel and Fran O Conne the band was brilliant but you would want to take a partner with you as no one asked you out to dance if you are strangers they all have there own clan and dont step out of it

Lovely old world pub friendly staff and clientele. And the Guinness is lovely and creamy

A lovely, 100 per cent place. No tourists

Awesome! Not to be missed. Look for Dixy!
