We checked in on New Year’s Day, and the person who assisted us with the check-in process was Alexandra. She was very helpful and went out of her way to get us settled. She even checked in afterward to make sure we were happy with our room, which I really appreciated.
The hotel’s location was excellent—less than a five-minute walk from the train station, and many popular destinations are within walking distance. We chose this hotel because we had luggage coming from the train station, and the meeting point for our bus tour was conveniently located nearby.
The hotel offers welcome drinks, complimentary coffee, and some bakery items in the waiting room, which was a nice touch.
Our room was very clean and appeared to have been renovated not long ago. The tea kettle was spotlessly clean, and there were several options for tea, instant coffee, and creamers, along with a complimentary bottle of water. The water pressure and drainage in the shower were excellent, and the soap and lotion provided were of relatively good quality.
Unlike many small hotels in Europe, this hotel has staff at the front desk available 24 hours a day to assist guests.
I did not include breakfast when I booked the hotel because we had to leave early for a bus tour, well before breakfast hours. I also assumed there would be plenty of breakfast options in Florence. However, it was surprisingly difficult to find a restaurant open between 6 and 7 a.m., aside from McDonald’s. We had grown tired of pasta and pastries and were craving fresh fruit and eggs. As a result, we decided to have breakfast at the hotel on our last day in Florence, and we were very pleased. They served fresh fruit and yogurt, greens, eggs, well-cooked quiche, and delicious pastries, all at a very reasonable price.
I will definitely return to Florence in the future, and when I do, I will stay at this same hotel and update my review. I hope this place continues to do well.
