Review:|Our Christmas getaway at C Rodrigues Mourouk was a memorable experience, primarily due to the high standard of service and the impressive culinary offerings.||The Management & Service:|The standout feature of this resort is the leadership. The Hotel Manager, Mr. G. Simiette, is exceptionally professional and visible; he personally took the time to reach us and ensure our family was comfortable throughout our stay. It is clear that he is deeply committed to guest satisfaction and the resort's reputation. This level of proactive, personalised service was much appreciated and truly sets the tone for the entire team.||Festive Dining:|A major highlight was the food. Beside the daily excellent continental breakfast, from December 23rd to the 25th, the kitchen themes were outstanding, with excellent variety and quality. We were particularly pleased that the Christmas festive supplement was already included in our half-board booking of Rs 18,900 per night. The value for the quality of the buffet was impressive.||Facilities & Activities:|The resort offers a decent main pool, which served as a great hub for the family. We also want to commend the Boat House team; although the windy weather was much more ideal for kite surfers than casual paddlers, they still attended to our request and ensured me and my child could use the kayaks safely.||Regarding the Entertainment and Kids Club, there is a bit of a mixed experience. While the staff were friendly, we noticed that almost every day, the specific activities listed on the daily kids' schedule were not actually held. In terms of evening atmosphere, we felt the "Sega vibes" and were missing, which would have added a lovely local touch. However, the resort made up for this on Christmas Day—the visit from Santa Claus was fantastic, and every child was thrilled to receive a gift.||The Room (Room 254 - Prestige Ocean View):|For those planning their stay, it is helpful to note the specific layout and location of this category. Our unit measured approximately 3.4m x 6.55m (inclusive of the toilet, bathroom, and washroom, but excluding the terrace). It is an efficient and intimate layout.|The "Ocean View" from this particular row provides a detailed perspective of the red-roofed buildings in front, with the blue lagoon visible in the background. As you can see from the photos, the decor is Boho-Chic adding to the authenticity of Rodrigues and using upcycled materials.|Location Note: It is worth mentioning that Room 254 is situated at the far end of the property. Based on Google measuring tools, it is about a 150m walk to the main resort facilities. While it's a good way to work off the festive buffet, it's something to consider if you prefer being closer to the action!||Highlights:|Culinary Excellence: Fantastic festive themes and included supplements.|Top-Tier Management: Mr. G. Simiette is a leader who truly listens and reacts.|Santa’s Visit: A highlight for the kids with thoughtful gifts.|Helpful Boat House: Safe kayaking even in kite-surfing weather.|Final Verdict: While the room interior is compact and the walk to the hub is a bit of a distance, the management's dedication and the quality of the dining are top-tier. You will be very well looked after here.
