How should you order here? Stick with the soup and sandwich. The soups are good. In fact the lemongrass soup is phenomenal…One of the best I’ve ever had. The zucchini soup was mid. Get the curry sandwich. Our group liked the raviolis fine too. But save some calories for the desserts. The strawberry shortcake one was the fave. Big reason for not having 5 stars was that they have very limited gluten free options. Bit the lemongrass soup is GF. Get it!

Great little Cafe serving the Grindelwald locals and tourists. They make really really good breads. Even the ones at the counter are delicious so give them a try for only two euros. Staff is super nice and does speak English. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. Expect to pay normal Swiss pricing.

First of all, the service was slow since there was only one server (that I could see) attending to all of the diners but she did the best that she could and she was very friendly. Second, tap water cost CHF 2 just so you are aware. We ordered the steak with salad and the ravioli (tomato mozzarella and pesto). I ordered the ravioli because everyone raves about it. I thought it was good but not great. I was expecting the pasta to be creamy but it wasn’t. It had a good flavor but I think the pasta was just a bit too al dente for me. The steak was good and salad and salad dressing were tasty. The potatoes au gratin that came with the steak was delicious. They also gave us a basket of bread and it was very fresh and fluffy. My husband also got a glass of red wine and the total cost was CHF 80 which I felt was reasonable. Overall good food and reasonable price. Side note: not sure if it was just the time of the year but we had to constantly swat flies from ourselves and our dinner.

The view in this cafe restaurant is amazing. The service was good and efficient. The food was also very tasty even thoug we got here later and couldn’t get the meal of the day. They do have other cold and warm dishes though. I recommend you to stop by and have a look.

We just had a lovely meal at this place. Beetroot Soup with Sausage and Lemon Grass Soup with Bread, accompanied with white and red wine. Didn't have a lot of expectations, but we were both pleasantly surprised. Lovely and friendly staff. And oh, the view is spectacular!

Best cafe to head to for brunch or tea break. My wife and I ordered the Ravioli, and two other cakes which the staff recommended to try as they are very "Swiss". The Ravioli was tasty with generous fillings, and the cakes were the best we had in Switzerland. The staff there were really nice and friendly. We felt very welcomed there. Limited free parking is available behind the restaurant. Also, right behind the restaurant you can get amazing views of the mountains!!

One of the best places to eat in Grindelwald. With Eiger in the backdrop, its location is beautiful too. The lemongrass soup, melted cheese with apricot jelly, seasonal ravioli, the passion fruit dessert, the blueberry cheesecake icecream…just delicious 😋 Highly recommended.

I’m not sure I can describe the whole experience. Starting from the view, it’s mind blowing. The staff is friendly and service is fast, even when it’s full. We order ravioli, the ricotta ravioli it’s honestly one of best I had ever. They also have seasonal food, which is super recommended. Price is super reasonable, would even say cheap for such a view and quality. Try the local beer, it’s very tasty! 🤗

Yelp
Overlooking the beautiful Grindelwald of Switzerland. I really enjoyed the tomato pesto ravioli. The ravioli were big pieces and decent serving size for the price point. Service was a bit rocky in the beginning. All the tables seemed to be occupied and looked like they were short staffed. Most of the tables were occupied or haven't been bussed yet. I had to seat myself at a table from a customer that had already left. There was an existing cup of coffee. Staff came out and quickly cleaned my table and I gave her my order right away. Surprisingly the food came out like 15-20 minutes later. I devoured the ravioli in a matter of minutes. Come here if you have the time. It's one of the better looking restaurants in the town and a beautiful view!

Yelp
Awesome views and great food. Ravioli seasonal special was amazing! Don't miss it. The best location in Grindelwald!

Yelp
My husband and a friend of ours stopped for coffee here. My husband got the macchiato with oat milk and our friend got the cafe late with fresh cream. Both of them kept raving on how delicious the coffee was and my friend especially loved the fresh crea

Yelp
As I sat at a table and sipped my coffee, I can see Eiger just standing in front of us... Simply great views (really, my photos and video don't even come close)!! You really cannot beat the location here especially on a warm sunny day relaxing and enjoying God's wonderful creation opens up in front of your very own eyes. It's just great! The rest...is just a little frosting on a cake.

Yelp
Great spot for breakfast or lunch with beautiful views. We had the caprese salad and the burger, both of which were good.

Yelp
Stumbled across this gem as we were walking through Grindelwald. The vibes inside were super cozy, felt like you were in a cabin. We got there around 12 on a Sunday and most of the tables were full, but people were coming and going constantly so there wasn't a long wait. They did have a lunch menu, but we just ordered drinks and cake. The cake you order at the counter and everything else you order table side. Everything was delicious and very reasonable prices... I'd go back in a heartbeat. But the best part was the view! We had a table right next to the window with the most gorgeous view of Grindelwald. And from the back patio you also get an amazing view so make sure to stop here for some pictures. This is a great place to stop in while wandering or between ski runs.

Yelp
Super cute restaurant, amazing view, and great food. Location is on the main street, and there is public parking available relatively close by. Seating is first come first serve, so if there's an open table, grab it.

Yelp
This place is a must if the weather is nice enough to sit outside. C und M Cafe is located in Grindelwald and the outdoor seating offers AMAZING views (see my photo). Besides the perfect mountain views, I enjoyed the food as well. I ordered a mozzarella, pesto and tomato sandwich and it was honestly the best I've ever had. It's such a simple sandwich, but I could tell everything in it was so fresh. I have no complaints about the service either. The waitress was friendly, fast and accommodating. I would highly recommend C und M! Even if you aren't hungry, it's worth it to just sit outside and relax with a beer or glass of wine. It's really such a perfect spot to admire the Swiss Alps.

Yelp
Views are amazing. Service is awful. Still waiting on the ice cream sundaes and drinks. Still waiting. Wait staff are about as helpful as herpes. You may want to avoid this one. Still waiting.

Yelp
We absolutely loved coming here! The food feels fresh, well-salted (not too salty, not under salty), and with delicious local flavors! If you get to sit outside you can eat al fresco with views of the mountains that is unmatched. They have a big wine and beer selection. We loved eating there after hiking down from Grindelwald. I will come back to this place whenever I go visit again.

Yelp
DON'T EAT HERE! I was there about a half hour ago and still angry on how poorly we were treated by the server that works upstairs in the restaurant. She was a older woman . I understand she was busy. We have never been treated so poorly by a server. We had just sat down and we didn't know what we wanted yet but ordered a glass of wine. She never came back and took orders from all the tables around us. We sat there for a good half hour and 2 large groups sat right next to us and she took their orders right away. So we just asked for our check. And when we asked for our check after she ignored us my husband tried to pay and she was very passive aggressive and said go downstairs. Horrible service, you should go somewhere else. I wish I could give no stars for this review.

Yelp
Stopped into this cafe for lunch while in Grindelwald and would highly recommend for a lower priced lunch option. Perfect place for a coffee, soup, salad, and sandwich with a great outside view and a cozy inside dining area.

Yelp
Terrible service. Rude people. No one looked happy to be there. We made a reservation, they made us wait half an hour, and still wouldn't honor it. Go elsewhere.

Harish S.

Yelp
Such flavorful food. We had lemongrass soup, ravioli and burgers. Very tasteful. The ice creams are from move& pick and also great. Don't miss this.

Yelp
Delicious homemade food at very reasonable prices especially for Switzerland. The restaurant is cozy, warm, and inviting and the service is even better. The real highlights were the mixed sandwich with a perfectly crisp oat bread, the soups (light broth but flavorful), and the homemade desserts including the apple streusel. Really all of the sandwiches were excellent including the chicken curry. At under 9CHF, these are a must when other restaurants charge at least 30 francs for so-so food. The soup of the day was a potato based soup and it was a light and savory delight. The lemongrass soup was also good and reminded of a Thai type soup but richer in flavor. The fresh seasonal leaf salad was also good and the vinaigrette sauce was tremendous. But the desserts are homemade and extraordinary. Everything we had was amazing. The Swiss ice creams are packed in flavor and only 3.70 a scoop. The passion fruit and mango flavor is truly special tart flavor. The stracciatella cake is great and adorned on top with various interesting fruit. Finally the apple streusel is a must-order and is their pride and joy for a reason -- it's absolutely delicious! Pair it with their vanilla sauce and you got yourself a fine dessert. Might have to go back to C und M cafe tomorrow night, it was that good!

Yelp
Great views of the nearby Jungfrau mountains from the nice outdoor patio. Friendly service. We really enjoyed the tomato and mozzarella ravioli, and house cured salmon with pumpernickel, though the portions were a tad small for dinner, leaving us fairly hungry. Good, fresh flavors, well-cooked and beautifully presented. Pretty good wine selection. There's a lengthy ice cream menu, too.

Yelp
So glad we found C und M. Before we found C und M, we had found mostly expensive (Switzerland just is) and only OK food in Grindelwald. C und M has great food, lighter food, and reasonable prices. Ended up having light dinners there 3 nights in a row. A nice variety to the menu and great soups and sandwiches. Christine (the "C" in C und M) was friendly and very accommodating.

Yelp
The service here is Stupendous, great staff, great food, and well priced. The Local Bier on tap is delicious and COLD, not cool. The cappuccino is one of the best I have had in CH (Switzerland). We sat on the deck for lunch, enjoying the views (Spectacular), and sun when it popped up. We were visited by some Bee's but they just flew around a little while and left well enough alone. Mayhem, our German Shepherd, was welcomed without question and did just fine under the table. One of the greatest "Dad Moments" I have had occurred here. My littlest (the girl) chugged her first drink! Hahaha. Mom was super stoked to see it . Overall, great views, good food, very good coffee, and stupendous service.

Yelp
Sit on the deck and enjoy the view of the alps. First the important stuff: beer is cold-not cool. Menus Have English explanation. The food: Seasonal ravioli was fantastic. Their seasonal salads were equally good. One in the group loved the lemon grass soup. Another enjoyed the caprese salad. Service was fine. Lunch was CHF 120 for 5. Reasonable for high quality fare.

Yelp
This place needs more reviews. Best food we ate in Switzerland. We had coffee and dessert twice here, and lunch once. The desserts are all home made and amazing. Try the apple streusel one with cream . The lunch was also very good, they offer two portion sizes for some of the items. Maybe the only downside is the coffees are really small and $4 each, so 2 coffees for each of us twice added up to a whopping $32! But hey you're in a small mountain town with beautiful views so can't really complain.

Yelp
We stopped by on Tuesday to find the place was closed, bummer! Glad we tried again on Wednesday. Excellent food! I've been to a lot of places around the world, the lemongrass soup may be the best soup I've ever had! We also ordered the bacon ravioli, which was great 10/10! Great views as all of grindelwald lends itself to a storybook setting.

Yelp
Worst service ever. Served a salad dressing with no dressing. Ordered water but didn't get it. Asked for the check cause we had to leave. Didn't get that either so went inside to ask for it only to be ignored. I would not go there and would definitely not recommend the food. If you want to go there for the views outside just get a drink, maybe they can get that right. HORRIBLE place. They ignore you and pretend you're not there cause they clearly can't handle serving more than 1 table at a time... even when there's not much demand. Would give it 0 stars if I could.

Kathy L.

Yelp
Fantastic food, beautiful views! Best meal in a week in Switzerland... mushroom soup du jour was best I've ever had - truly delicious!

Sona P.

Yelp
The absolute worst place in Grindelwald. The service is extremely rude, and they didn't bring out several things we ordered. When we asked them for the salad dressing for the salad we ordered, the waitress rolled her eyes and grudgingly gave it to us. Would NEVER recommend this place to anyone.
