This hotel was centrally located in San Polo neighborhood and close to the Rialto Bridge and a water taxi stop-Silverstro is close by and that makes it easy to navigate around Venice. The accommodations at the hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff were attentive and helpful. The free breakfast was great and fulfilling- it gives you a great start to the day to explore Venice! This guest house is a small boutique hotel…we had a floor to ourselves! The amenities were excellent! We had air conditioning…Cable TV and we daily housekeeping services! It would be great if they would offer a ‘wine down’ happy hour a few nights during the week at the hotel to mingle with the guests who are staying at the hotel! I recommend to those who want a chill experience and this hotel has a private dock for the water taxi to drop you off from the airport!

A small hotel with a breakfast room overlooking the Grand Canal - friendly, quiet, comfortable and spotlessly clean. And a perfect location for sightseeing across the whole of Venice - 5-10 minutes from San Silvestro and Rialto water bus stops, and c20 mins walk to San Marco. Great breakfasts, and a lift to get you and your suitcases up to the Reception on the 3rd floor. |The hotel is tucked away on a little alley that runs up to a dock on the Grand Canal - just look out for a sign and doorbell in the wall. We struggled to find it at first because Google Maps gets confused by all the dense buildings and ended up asking for directions in a local shop. But definitely worth the hunt and would heartily recommend it.

I love small private hotels with character and I love a good view and this fulfills all those criteria . Stayed here before about 10 years ago, same top floor room and same warm welcome. ||Glad of the air conditioning on this very hot weekend and we appreciated the gesture of a complimentary bottle of Prosecco. ||Nice breakfasts in a characterful room also overlooking the canal. All my favourite breakfast goodies such as fruit and yoghurt, granola, seeds then a tasty selection of meats cheese and tomato. ||The only disappointment was the ‘hot water’ in the big silver urn wasn’t really hot enough to make English tea but this was soon rectified and the freshly squeezed orange juice was so tasty it made up for the tea! ||An added source of interest was the fact that unbeknown to us the Bezos wedding party were staying next door so we watched the paps and security buzzing g around indicating an appearance and wandered down to the jetty to wave as the happy couple went by in the Aman private boat. | |This hotel is in a great location for exploring Venice on foot or by vaparetto. It’s only about 15 mins to st Marks square and the osterias in San Polo are in my view far better than round the busy tourist areas by St Marks.

Everything was amazing. Location was central in San Polo, close to an ACTV (and Alilaguna) water bus stop, in a nice quiet alley, a beautiful building, and most importantly a super friendly staff that was onsite 24/7. Note we did pay extra for a Canal-view room so cannot speak to the other rooms. We were sad to leave so soon!

The location is very close to the canal and the room was beautiful. Giorgio was very helpful and friendly and made sure we were prepared for our departure. The breakfast room was lovely and looked out over the canal. Breakfast itself was delicious and varied, and there was always someone at reception when they were needed. We very much enjoyed our stay!

Spacious room overlooking a garden. Clean with tea making facilities. Family owned and run small hotel in fact I would call it a boutique hotel. There is a lot of great art to be seen (family collection)if that interests you. The dining room overlooks the grand canal. The breakfast was plentiful and well presented. The hotel is situated a short walk from the Rialto Bridge and transport by water taxi was easy as there is a dock by the hotel. The hotel also has a small lift big enough (just) for 2 people and 2 large suitcases. Entrance to hotel is by pushing a bell on the outside wall to enable the hotel to let you in as they share the premises with a private apartment.|We found it to be a good walking distance to where ever we wanted to go.|We also found the bed to be harder than what we were used to but I suspect that is quite normal for Venice.

Beautiful Grande Canal view and Splendid room. Breakfast was in good taste although the dining tables onto each other takes away from one on one privacy. Marble floors bit sticky damp but slippers provided so don't feel it under your feet. Consider carpeting. The entrance hall lobby to lift is dim. grotty & cracked wall paint belies the vintage grandeur of the guest house on the 3rd floor.

Our stay at Ca'Angeli was pretty nice! I'll start with the positives first! The breakfast and the breakfast room were absolutely lovely! We even had an early morning start one of our days and they made us a breakfast bag to go so that we didn't miss a breakfast! They were also able to accommodate for my gluten allergy. They were very nice about that.||The location is pretty nice as well. Right near the Rialto bridge and not too far of a walk to the train station. ||The building itself is interesting. It's a shared building so not completely owned by the hotel, but I think that may be normal in Italy? ||The few negatives: We had also booked a double superior with the promise of a view. I think we may have been confused by the website photos because we were expecting a room with canal view/ or partial view? and our room had no view to speak of. And worse was that construction was going on the building across the way and was VERY LOUD and workers right outside our window. Didnt want to leave window open or workers could see right in. Luckily we had an early morning one morning and then our other days were weekend days so no work was being done on those days, but if we had been staying on more weekdays I would have been so upset. We even asked to change room but were denied by the temporary staff. We would have asked one of the owners but it was hit or miss on when they would be there and the temporary staff didn't seem to know what to do to placate the situation. ||I think a heads up or a slight discount would have been nice due to the construction and the lack of view which we had paid extra for.
