Staff is very helpful and accommodating. We arrived at 10am and the gentleman at reception said " I will note that you're here now and try to have your room cleaned and ready for you ASAP. We will text you when it's available." At noon we received a text that it was ready. The rooms are small but very comfortable and extremely quiet ( we slept like babies). Our lovely terrace was a sweet spot for morning tea and a late afternoon glass of wine. Numerous cafes and restaurants just outside the door. One minute walk to boats and San Marco Square. Will happily return.

What a gem! The staff is amazing! So helpful and kind. They recommended an excellent restaurant and gave great directions for the easiest way to get to the airport The location is great, a short walk from the vaporetto, water taxis, restaurants, shoppings, and all the attractions in San Marco. Yet it is a bit hidden so it is away from the crowds. Delightful! Would definitely stay there again.

Awesome find. It's a bit tricky to find, and doesn't look like much from the outside, but what a gem of a place to stay. Very friendly staff. Great location. Room was small but lovely with a nice bathroom, and all seemed very clean. Our room had a small terrace that was great for enjoying breakfast and some coffee in the morning. I would stay here again!

We absolutely loved our stay at Ca’ dei Dogi in Venezia. We only stayed for one night (oh, I wish…) as we traveled in Italy for 2 weeks at that point and were happy, excited but exhausted. A couple of days before we arrived I received a email with detailed directions to the hotel. The location is hard to beat. It is literally steps away from Piazza San Marco and from San Zaccaria vaporetto and Alilaguna stop. Staff greeted us with smiles and kindness. The check-in took minutes and our suitcases were carried upstairs to our apartment called Moon (there was no lift). The apartment is spacious, very clean, and equipped with everything you would need for your stay. After the evening of exploring we slept like babies and checked out the next morning. We stored our suitcases in the office to have another day of adventures and picked them up before our trip to the airport. My 74 year old mother said “I wish I could stay here longer”. I am sure though that this is not my last trip to Venice and I will recommend a stay at Ca’ dei Dogi to anyone I know will be traveling to Venezia. Thank you!

We stayed in room 101 which was right next to reception on the ground floor, so we could hear guests if they were talking in the reception area. The room was clean, however it was very small. Only just enough room either side of the bed and nowhere to store cases as the bed took up most of the space. A small hanging wardrobe only and no drawers. It felt as if you were in a basement as only very high windows at ceiling level. The pillows were completely flat which didn’t help with sleeping.|The bathroom was also tiny and my husband couldn’t stand in the shower due to the low ceiling height. The plus side is that the location was great!

We were preparing to go on a Rick Steves tour. We arrived a day or two early in order to ascertain we would make it on time (we did miss a connection, different story). Spent only one night at this hotel. The check-in and check out was super easy with the staff being very efficient. The bed was clean and comfortable and the room was very clean. Breakfast was included and was delicious. Although the room was small, it met our needs. When you've flown from the Western United States to Venice, who wants to spend all their time in a hotel room? We were traveling with another couple and they similarly had a great experience. I have no hesitation in rating this hotel with five stars.

This was our first time visiting Venice. Amazingly beautiful city and this hotel only added to the experience. Great location. It’s basically right next to San Marco and within walking distance of all the major sights. |Susana was extremely helpful and friendly as was the night staff and the waiters in the restaurant where breakfast was served. |The hotel was very clean and had everything we needed. |The only negative would be the selection of allergen friendly food for breakfast but one can make due. |We will be coming back.

A very bad experience. We lost $331.84. We booked for 2 nights in this strange little hotel - room 101 on the first floor. The room smelled like strong chemical room freshener. A staff member had to turn off the air conditioner to get the smell to stop (some). We headed out for shopping and dinner. Came back and the air conditioner had been running and the smell was intolerable. The cause for the chemical freshener...something looked like a large mold stain above the bathroom door?? don't really know. Any way gathered our stuff and we left and went searching for another hotel. Thank God, as it started to get dark, we found one. We tried to call the hotel Ca' dei Dogi severl times on their emergency number. Ooops no luck and no one at the front desk. Security is weird. Same code opens the outside door as your room door. And, the dirty sheets are stored in large piles outside of the room we booked. They refunded one of the two nights we booked. We lost $331.84 for the first night.

Yelp
Venice, with its labyrinth of narrow streets is wonderful for walking: the advice is to wander and get lost. However, this is not a great plan upon arrival. Lugging luggage throughout the city maze while trying to find your hotel did not seem like fun. Hence our #1 criteria for our Venitian hotel: something close to the Grand Canal and the vaporetto stop! Enter Ca' dei Dogi, which had an ideal location. A 5 minute walk from the San Zaccharia vaporetto dropoff was painless, even with luggage - all flat, no bridge crossings. We were here in Venice for 4 nights to celebrate my wife's milestone birthday, a special occasion. But our room we were shown into was a disappointment, to put it mildly. The entrance door was immediately behind the front desk, and the small room, almost completely filled by the bed, had no windows. It felt kind of claustrophobic. We could have lived with it, it is what it is. But the owner, seeing our disappointment and realizing this was a special occasion, offered us an upgrade to an apartment which would be available for the last two days. We found this a very generous offer and gladly accepted! This room, the ground-floor economy room, was acceptable for a couple days and for some, given the price level might be a good value. The Dama apartment was beautiful, decorated in 60s chic, so the last two days capped off a wonderful visit to Venice. There is commercial activity in the early morning, probably from the restaurant below, so if you are sensitive to noise earplugs might be in order. Ca' dei Dogi's location was very convenient: St. Mark's Square is only a five minute walk away - it was easy for us to stop by in the early evening to enjoy the square with diminished crowds. The owner of the hotel also runs the attached restaurant, so the free breakfast every morning was a treat. Opening with a cappuccino, then a made to order omelet, hot croissant, pastries that varied by the day and fruit. After this breakfast, we could get by with just a snack for lunch and be good until dinner. The hotel also coordinated a custom trip to Murano Island. A free water taxi zipped us over there where we had a tour of their facilities and the display room. Excellent service and location at a reasonable price makes Ca' dei Dogi a good choice for your trip to Venice.

Yelp
We rented the Moon apartment. Such a great location near Piazza di San Marco. We arrived late and the the night manager helped us check in, showed us to our apartment.and brought us some sparkling wine and soft drinks because we arrived at midnight and were exhausted. Great service and location. It was pricey but the location and service were excellent. When we almost overslept for breakfast, management called us and cooked us custom made omelettes. The management also gave us great recommendations for restaurants. Visited 24 June thru 26 June 2017.

Yelp
What a nice little hotel. Very private, close to St Marks Square and water buses. Quiet very friendly owners who go above and beyond for a good stay. Breakfast was awesome and included. We would stay again in a heartbeat. I highly recommend!

Yelp
My husband and I had a two night stay at Ca' dei Dogi in July and rented their Sol Apartment because it was the only room available. Though it was way more room than we needed (a large one bedroom apartment with a futon bed in the living room), it made for a very pleasant stay. It's located right near San Marco square's ferry stop, so commuting from the train with a few suitcases was very easy. The apartment has a private, large balcony with a lovely rooftop view. The included breakfast was good as well and the hosts were very nice and accommodating. I highly recommend staying here.

Yelp
What a great find, just steps from Piazza San Marco, but tucked away in a quiet little alley away from the crowds. We opted for a balcony room and sipped Prosecco while looking at the Doge's Palace. Breakfast included custom cooked omelettes, yogurt, bread, fruit, and other goodies. The staff were accommodating and super friendly. This place is a great value for the money.

Yelp
The accomodations were nice. The place is very close to many attractions. Definitely a steal for the price. I stayed in a single bed room. Tight, but it was all that was needed. The staff was kind and helpful. However when it came time to getting to the airport from here they booked me a $120 water taxi (more than 1 night in the room) instead of letting me know about a $15 water bus...Really?
