Ca della Corte, Venice, Italy - Explore & Book

"Venice can very easily feel like a maze of museums, monuments and milling masses. Thankfully, Ca della Corte is a short walk from the station, so no lugging your suitcase across countless bridges or through crowds of oblivious onlookers. Once here, in a quiet neighbourhood where true locals live, Caterina and Piero will welcome you like old friends to their 16th-century palazzo. The 9 rooms are simple and styled in traditional Venetian chintz; not to everyone's taste, but they're clean, comfy and spacious. And, in a city notorious for its inflated prices, they're excellent value for money. There's also an apartment for 2-3 if you crave privacy with a side of hotel services. As you look out over the pretty courtyard gardens below, you'll feel a million miles from the bustle of San Marco (when really it's a 15-minute walk away). Fill up on an unfussy continental spread before strolling to the floating city's top attractions and getting lost in the myriad of photogenic alleyways. Once you've gorged on enough pizza and pasta to feed the Venetian army, head up to Ca della Corte's terrace to bask in the sun's final act, casting the terracotta rooftops in a glorious golden glow. Ready to do it all again tomorrow. Highs Ideal location: 4 minutes' walk from Piazzale Roma (bus / car terminus) but in a quiet residential quarter with plenty of cafés and restaurants The décor is full of classical Venetian charm, from the rich fabrics to the giant glass chandelier above the breakfast table Caterina can arrange anything with a bit of advance notice, even a private chef, and is a great facilitator for small groups wanting a memorable get-together Good for families, as several rooms have extra beds or space for a cot (although Venice with a pushchair can be a chore) Rates offer great value in one of Italy's most expensive cities Lows It can be hard to find - you'll get a map when you book through i-escape - and don't confuse it with Casa della Corte near San Marco Square The Standard Rooms are quite basic; still a good choice for a discerning couple, but we'd suggest stretching to a Superior if possible Some bathrooms are rather old-fashioned and the decor feels tired in places" - Laura Dixon

This is a wonderful local Venetian family establishment. Couldn't ask for a better facility, staff or location. Gracious host Caterina and her staff are accommodating, helpful, English-speaking, respectful of elders and LGBT friendly - none of which I take for granted! I was here for over a week and saw diverse international families, honeymooners, retirees, just really kinds of people enjoying their time at Ca' della Corte.

It's was a great place to stay. Breakfast was limited to mostly breads yogurt and fruit so bacon or sausage would be nice but the croissants are warm and freshly baked on site. The cappuccinos are perfect and plentiful so just a minor comment for not meat options. The rooms are quiet. Never heard a peep from any other guests except when we were in the common areas and there were 2 young boys staying down the hall from us. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The location was easy to find using Google maps on my Garmin and Apple watch so it was never a problem getting back to our room in the evening after being out exploring all day. Did not realize how important that was until about 5 minutes after we arrived at the train station and was hopelessly lost following a map.

We had a great stay here and would highly recommend it. Quaint and comfortable rooms at a beautiful property with incredible staff. It was such a cool and unique place to stay, one of the best parts of our family vacation in Venice.

We had the best stay in the Ca’della Corte!! We stayed there for a weekend in May last year to celebrate my fiancé’s birthday and we had an absolute blast. The service was amazing, as they knew about the special occasion they welcomed us with a bottle of Bellini, what a sweet attention. One of our core memories from our trip in Venezia remains the sweet morning hearing the birds with the smell of croissant coming through the window. The breakfast served in bed was the cherry on the cake of the stay! This goes without saying that the location is perfect! If we were to ever go back to Venezia we would pick this guesthouse without a doubt!

Our second visit to Ca'Della Corte. Again everything was perfect. Service excellent, nothing was to much trouble for Kate and Nick to arrange or sort out for us.||I must mention the 'back up team' who were so bright and cheerful. We choose to have breakfast in our room (again) which was served very punctually and what a choice!||Ca'Della Corte is perfectly situated within walking distance of Piazzale Roma and Campo Santa Margherita, the perfect campo to spend your evenings.||We are already planning our next visit to Venice and can't imagine staying any other place than Ca'Della Corte.

We stayed at Ca’ Della Corte for 4 nights in early May and it was wonderful. The staff are all very kind and helpful, and the breakfast each day was lovely. It is also convenient to the train station, the vaporettos, and was pretty convenient to most of the tourist sites.

Wonderful stay- the owners are super nice and helpful, the room was spacious for three people, and well decorated, the view and cross breeze from the two huge windows was wonderful. We also enjoyed the rooftop balcony at night, plus the beautiful sitting area in the courtyard. Modern style bathroom (very chic!). Room was very clean. Also awesome location, very easy to walk to from train station. Highly recommend!

Yelp
We stayed here at the beginning of our trip before we took a cruise. Three days here was not enough and I can't wait to come back and stay longer. We rented a room, but ended up getting an apartment. We expect changes when traveling, so we just went with the flow and was extremely happy with our outcome. The location is very convenient to public transportation, walking distance to all the shops and restaurants, but tucked into a quite corner where there is no noise at night and very peaceful. I recommend that you pack very light when traveling here. All streets are cobblestone and you cross a lot of bridges with stairs, so it's a struggle transporting luggage even if you have good rollers on them. Although you can hire luggage transporters in the street as well for $30 or so. The continental breakfast was really nice with an egg, croissants, cheese and espresso. Keep in mind that these buildings were constructed hundreds of years ago, way before modern plumbing and elevators, so bathrooms are smaller than American standards and a lot of times there's no elevators, which is another good reason to pack light. I loved the rustic charm of this place, and can not wait to return! So many wonderful memories.
