Great property. Kept the old charm by not modifying the old rooms. Just upgraded what was needed. 1. Bathrooms 2. Beds 3. Air-conditioning So the rooms look great and you have all modern amenities. Things to keep in mind. Though the property is right next to Guglie ferry terminal, check-in is at Leone Hotel, which is about 250m from the property. So if you have a lot of luggage and get down at Guglie, leave the luggage there and walk to Leone for checkin. Do the same while checking out. Otherwise, the location is spot on. You are in a neighborhood where very few day trip tourists show up. So, it's not crowded. Most restaurants are true Venitian and not tourist traps. The staff that helps you with checkin' at Leone is amazing.

One of the loveliest hotels i’ve ever seen. It’s was a real magic, beautiful room, vieuw and friendly stuff. Clean enough and comfortable. Not in the touristic area, so need to goo to the centre city a little bit, but for me it wasn’t problem - not for lasy people 😆. Recommend you absolutely, waiting already for next time there 🫶🏻

We’re a family of three and this place worked wonderfully for us. Walking distance to all the spots you ought to visit in Venice. Including the boat transfer to and from the airport. This is not your ordinary black and white shiny hotel but the right one for an enchanting place in Venice. There are seafood places nearby which are 4+ rating and above. Will be back here when we get another chance at Venice! This is the view from our window.

Clean place, decent price, great location. Lots of food and drink places nearby, and easy to get to everywhere in Venice from here, either by walking or the vaporettos. Weird vibes in the rooms that I normally wouldn't go for, but in Venice it seemed right (plush walls, big chandelier, etc). No view but that's okay, you get enough of that just walking around. Only complaint was that there wasn't a shower, only a bathtub with a nozzle that you could spray around.

We stayed 3 nights in this lovely hotel on the edge of the Jewish quarter and within easy walking distance to the train station as well as an easy 30min walk to Piazza San Marco. The canal at which the hotel is located looks very nice and it is not as busy and crowded as many other canals in Venice. As we were in Venice mainly for the Biennale, we did not spend a lot of time in the hotel itself, but the time we spent there was very pleasant and comfortable.||We had a nice, spacious, double room on the first floor without canal view but we didn't really miss that. Also the bathroom was well equipped and spacious and nicely decorated, just like the room itself, in a traditional style. The bed was pretty comfortable. All the windows could be opened but there was also airco, which was working well and pretty quiet. There was just a small TV, but we didn't use that. We sure did enjoy the coffee and tea facilities in the room.||The hotel does not offer breakfast, but there are several good breakfast cafes in the area. Check-in and -out for the hotel is actually in another hotel along the same canal, closer to the street from/to the train station.||One of the best things about this hotel was the staff, which were all very friendly, professional and helpful. This applies to reception as well as housekeeping. We also much appreciated the early check-in.||We would definitely consider staying here again when next in Venice.

The room was very authentic and fun. The hotel has no elevator, but I knew beforehand. The service was excellent. You have to check in at the hotel down the street, and they were very nice. Bed was a bit hard, but not unbearable. The bathroom was very good. Something the room could use is new pillows. You can buy great pillows on Amazon that are inexpensive. The pillows in the room are rock hard. It would change the experience for the better with little investment.

Fantastic stay right on the canal! This hotel is intimate, clean, with spacious rooms and a great location. It’s just enough off of the beaten path where you feel you are secluded, but the main areas of Venice are still very accessible/walkable. Check in is located at the Hotel Leone just down the street as the Hotel Ca’ Dogaressa does not have its own reception area. The hotel is in the same neighborhood as many great restaurants, which is incredibly convenient. Would absolutely stay here again!

We booked the room with canal view. The room was great, very big. Good amenities, service, nearby cafes and restaurants all while being in walking distance to/from the train station. My only complaint is that from our room on the 2nd floor (Room 5) the lights shining in the Ca Dogaressa sign on the outside of the building make the room very bright at night. The curtains are in a fixed position and cannot be drawn shut. The lights do not dim or turn off until 11:52 PM (I was still awake when it happened). Attached are photos of how bright the room is prior to then. You really should turn the light off sooner, or allow the curtains to be drawn shut.

Yelp
Great location. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. We took the night train and they made a special effort to have our room prepared for free early check in. Clean beautiful room with a large bathroom and cute little bathroom products. PS Best tiramisu I've ever had in the cafe downstairs

Yelp
Somehow I accidentally booked the junior suite when I thought I was booking a standard double. So, imagine my surprise when the door was opened and I found myself with a gorgeous room with windows looking out onto the Cannaregio canal. The room was beautiful with what I assume is traditional Venetian decorating. Our room had green accents. The Murano glass chandelier was stunning. It was an awesome experience to hang out of the window and take pictures up and down the canal. Oh, and wave to the people on the vaporetto, of course! The mattress was a little harder than I prefer, but my bf had no issue. I'd say the only real downside was the tub with a hand-held sprayer and no shower curtain around the tub. I can't remember ever taking such a well-calculated shower as I labored not to soak the entire bathroom with one swing of the nozzle. But the water pressure was good and the water was hot. I originally chose this hotel based on it's location. It's very easy to find from the train station and it's just far enough off the beaten path to be in a quiet area that makes you feel like you're in Venice, not just in tourist-land. There are vaporetto stops that are very close to the hotel. They came in handy as we wanted to go to Burano and the 4.2 which takes you to Fond Nove so you can catch the #12 is in easy walking distance. We loved our stay. If I ever find myself traveling back to Venice, and I hope I do, I would definitely book a room.

Yelp
Loved everything about this hotel. Convenient location, beautiful brand new looking bathrooms, and nice owners. Will give you a deal if you pay cash. Beds were more comfortable than most in Europe but no pillow top like in the US. Would definitely stay here again if we come back!
