Ca' Sagredo Hotel

"A beautifully renovated palace with a pink facade on the Grand Canal, the Ca'Sagredo once belonged to Nicolò Sagredo, Venice’s ambassador to Rome in the seventeenth century. Inside, paintings by Venetian artists adorn the walls, and individually decorated rooms are "lovely cocoons" with views over the rooftops and the Campo Santa Sofia. Enjoy cuisine inspired by "a back-to-nature concept" as well as excellent service on the panoramic terrace of L’Alcova, where the ingredients are bought daily at the Rialto Market across the street. Try Bar L’Incontro for a lounge atmosphere or afternoon tea."

Ca’Segrado has an unbeatable location—easily walkable to all the city highlights, with the Rialto Bridge and San Marco Square just minutes away and plenty of shops nearby. The €150 water taxi to/from the airport was the easiest, most direct option we found—no pre-booking needed. We also loved the complimentary transfer to Murano and Burano, which included a tour. The property itself is full of character. The historic architecture and décor make the whole place feel very Venetian, and there are tons of photo-worthy spots throughout the hotel. The restaurant and bar sit right on the canal; it’s surprisingly quiet there and the service was attentive. Our room continued the theme—beautiful, historic feel with Venetian touches. A couple of drawbacks kept it from being a perfect five for us. There was no iron or ironing service available. The website and in-room information say it’s offered daily until 9pm, but mid-afternoon we were told housekeeping had gone home, so there was nothing they could do. Also, the mattress felt more 3-star than 5-star—quite thin and we could feel the springs. Overall, we’d still recommend Ca’Segrado for its location, service, and unique historic charm. If they ensure ironing is truly available as advertised and upgrade the mattresses, it would be an easy 5/5.

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Ca' Sagredo property again, 18 years after our honeymoon. We stayed in Junior Suite 102, which overlooks the Grand Canal, and we were absolutely stunned by its beautiful decor, immaculate condition, and impressive view. The sound of the church bells at sunset was truly unforgettable. Beyond the hotel's rich history, we were particularly grateful for the exceptional assistance from Beatrice, Hotel Guest Relations Manager. She went above and beyond to help me arranging surprises for my wife's anniversary. Her kindness, knowledge of hotel's and city's history, and excellent restaurant recommendations, combined with her special touch, made all the requested arrangements even better than I could have imagined. Starting each day in the magnificent historical ballroom with a fully stocked breakfast buffet, served by such professional staff, was another highlight of our stay. The hotel's location is also perfect, with direct access to the Ca’ d’Oro vaporetto stop, a gondola port, and a convenient water taxi service right at the door. Beatrice, thank you again for making my wife's anniversary a truly magical event. And to the entire team at Ca' Sagredo, thank you for your special attention and for making our return visit so memorable. We shall come back for sure

Google
This hotel delivers on location and luxury. Perfectly positioned on the Grand Canal, it's a quick 5-minute walk to Rialto Bridge and just 2 minutes from Ca' D'Oro vaporetto stop. There's a gondola crossing right outside, which is convenient for getting around. We stayed in the Four Light Window suite, which was insanely spacious and well-appointed with spectacular Grand Canal views. The staff were genuinely helpful - particularly the "experienced" gentleman at the front desk and Oksana who looked after our dining needs. Breakfast offered a decent buffet with both cooked and continental options. Nothing extraordinary, but solid by European hotel standards. The main drawback was unreliable WiFi throughout the room. We ended up using one phone as a hotspot by placing it in the spot with the best signal - not ideal but it worked. Regarding noise levels, yes, it can get busy with boat traffic and tourists, but that's the trade-off for prime Grand Canal views. Coming from London, we found it manageable. Minor issues aside, this is a fantastic hotel in an unbeatable location. The combination of luxury accommodation, professional service, incredible surroundings, and those stunning canal views makes it worth recommending. Would stay again for the location and overall experience.

We stayed here for our minimoon for 3 nights. It is a beautiful part of Venice with the terrace overlooking the Grand Canal. The hotel is very clean (as is all of Venice) and the rooms a good size. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and is literally a palace. Beds are very comfy and breakfast is excellent offering a great choice of continental options and even prosecco. We didn't have dinner there as felt it was far too expensive, room service is a similar affair with $38 for a margherita pizza... But it is nice for a cocktail or 2.

Unfortunately, our stay at Ca’ Sagredo Hotel was far below expectations for a 5-star property and for a member of the SLH collection. Although we appreciated the room upgrade, we had booked a double bed and instead received two twin beds pushed together, which caused several nights of back pain. I had also called ahead to request prosecco in the room—this was confirmed, yet nothing was prepared upon arrival. The biggest disappointment came from the concierge recommendations. We specifically asked for authentic, local restaurants, but multiple staff members repeatedly pushed Ristorante Vecia Cavana, which turned out to be a complete tourist trap: poor service and overpriced dishes. Even worse, the Murano “tour” arranged for us was nothing more than a high-pressure sales pitch at Vetreria Estevan Rossetto 1950 S.r.l., a business clearly targeting tourists with aggressive tactics. It is shocking that a 5-star hotel would endorse experiences like this. Throughout our stay, we also felt that the on-site restaurant was being pushed more for revenue than for guest preference, which added to the sense that recommendations were profit-driven rather than genuine. I raised these issues at check-out, but the manager was not available. Overall, we left with the impression that making an extra euro was prioritized over offering a thoughtful and honest guest experience. Very disappointing, especially in a city where true hospitality can make all the difference.

We stayed in room 102, which is the Grand Canal Junior Suite. The room was beyond nice. It was beautifully decorated, immaculate, and what an impressive view!||Beatrice was a concierge and a delightful addition to our visit. She provided a tour of the hotel and told us the story of its history and current day historic status. She provided great restaurant recommendations. She made arrangements for water taxi service to tour the Vetreria Estevan Rossetto 1950 glass factory, at Moreno, and she arranged our water taxi transportation to the airport. ||The breakfast buffet was a wonderful way to start the day. A full buffet of quality food and drinks and a very attentive staff. ||The hotel is in a perfect location. It has immediate access to the Ca’ d’Oro vaporetto stop, gondola port and door front water taxi. Lovely shopping, restaurants and even a grocery store tucked away discretely.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful. The staff was very attentive and accommodating to helping me celebrate my wife’s birthday and making it very special. Accommodations were excellent and our restaurant dining experience was also very pleasant. Both my wife and I were more than pleased with our stay and we highly recommend anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Venice to place this hotel at the top of their list. Thank you to the staff and everyone that made our experience there outstanding.

We arrived here to document a pre wedding by set up for the couple, the location is right on the water and near everything! The staff was welcoming and helpful! If you are looking to have a great Venezia luxury stay, this is the place! Classy and luxurious!

Yelp
A beautiful lobby. We stayed in a jr. Suite and to say that it was dirty is an understatement. There were spots around the toilet that remained there the entirety of our stay. The linens are of poor quality. The rugs are tripping hazards. The breakfast was fair. Stay elsewhere

Yelp
Perfect location to enjoy Venice. This is a lovely, peaceful hotel w/superb staff. We enjoyed our 2 day staff here and would come again.

Yelp
Old and tired. The food was marginal despite being in Venice. The location is right on the grand canal so it has tremendous potential. We also stayed at the hotel and to be quite frank it just needs new managment. It's not a 5 star hotel or restaurant, even though it says it is. We just went on a 40 day trip through Europe and stayed at 13 hotels, almost all being 5 star. This hotel, along with the restaurant, was the most disappointing of the 13. From top to bottom it just needs new management to clean the place up and to instill a better sense of service into its employees. I normally don't like giving negative reviews but I would be doing a disservice to other travelers if I did not speak my truth with this "Fake 5 Star" as my wife so aptly named it.

Yelp
Great Staff - Front Desk, Concierge, Porters, Service Staff, Restaurant / Bar, Breakfast. Can't beat the location. The room was quite unique and comfortable.

Yelp
They charged me 16 euro per spritz at their restaurant. Normally they're 2-4 euro per. I guess I should have asked for the price first, but a blatant scam.

Yelp
I lovely luxury hotel .. once was a castle .. great location and currently has an interesting art sculpture for a limited time .. huge white hands coming out of the water grasping the hotel. This is supposedly to symbolize the plight of Venice and Climate change.

Yelp
Room is beautiful. Reception needs improvement and internet is HORRIBLE. Talk about adding stress to a trip! Not having internet is inexcusable these days. Basic like water.

Yelp
Nice people, old style 'vintage' rooms, quiet setting and 12 minute walk to Rialto Bridge. Terrible WIFI - literally unusable. Included breakfast nothing to right home about... MEH.

Yelp
This hotel is right on the canal where the water taxi dropped us off when we arrived and also picked us up to get to the airport so it was convenient. The hotel is an old style and almost look like a museum. The room was big enough and we had the view of the canal. It was well decorated with classic style window treatments. The hotel is located close to everything. Shops and restaurants are steps away from the hotel. Within walking distance to San Marco and Rialto Bridge. The staff was helpful and hospitable. When I return to Venice, I will stay at this hotel again.

Yelp
This hotel is in a great location and very historic. However, I reserved the largest and most expensive suite they have and our shower was broken. Obviously we need a shower in Venice in August. We live 10,000 miles away with no plans to return and said that offering a free night in the future would not be of any benefit. So they offered us a free night in the future. We suggested a partial refund at their discretion and they said they can't do that. Apparently they no longer have a checking account. We left it asking them to do the right thing and heard only the sound of crickets. ... . there are other places just as nice that perhaps have more professional business practices.

Yelp
I can't say enough of the staff and accommodations of this hotel. My fiancé and I were just there using their property as part of our wedding festivities, the property is gorgeous, the staff goes above and beyond to help, I was blown away by everything involved with this location. If it wasn't for the staff and this hotel our wedding day would not have been the same. It's clean, upscale, and operates professionally on so many levels - while still maintaining a genuine attitude and respect for its customers. Thank you Ca Segredo for making our wedding day special we will remember it forever. -Ashleigh and Tyler

Yelp
A Lovely Hotel, Great Location, and Really Nice Employees. We stayed here in August 2015. The hotel is located on The Grand Canal, but not right in the middle of the crowds. It is, however, right next to a water taxi station--a big plus--and a Gondola station too. The rooms were gorgeous--ours had a 20 foot ceiling that was inlaid with gold leaf and beautiful at night. The service was top flight, which is not the norm in Venice. Our breakfast was included and it was wonderful--fresh fruit, fresh fruit juices, eggs, bacon, cheeses, cappuccino, coffee, etc. etc. If we come back to Venice we will definitely stay here. They took such good care of us. Thanks 'Ca Sagredo!

Yelp
This hotel was beautiful. It was once a castle. Gorgeous. I needn't say more. The staff were wonderful, the accommodations--a junior suite--were more than adequate, and the breakfast was nice. The location was very nice, too, around the block from the water taxi and directly across from the Rialto market. I would highly recommend staying here.
