Ca' Sagredo Hotel

"A beautifully renovated palace with a pink facade on the Grand Canal, the Ca'Sagredo once belonged to Nicolò Sagredo, Venice’s ambassador to Rome in the seventeenth century. Inside, paintings by Venetian artists adorn the walls, and individually decorated rooms are "lovely cocoons" with views over the rooftops and the Campo Santa Sofia. Enjoy cuisine inspired by "a back-to-nature concept" as well as excellent service on the panoramic terrace of L’Alcova, where the ingredients are bought daily at the Rialto Market across the street. Try Bar L’Incontro for a lounge atmosphere or afternoon tea."

I absolutely loved my stay at Sagredo hotel! It was beyond magical thanks to Luca! He was most hospitable and took care of every detail! He truly went above and beyond to make our stay was like a fairy tale! Thank you so much dear Luca! We look forward to going back to Venice and staying at Sagredo again. Our new favourite place! We hope to see you again.

The location is very nice on the Grand Hotel. What made it special was the staff. They were all so friendly and helpful. Lucca, in particular, went out of his way to help us plan a memorial gathering. I cannot say enough about the people or the lovely hotel. Great breakfast too!

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. I was expecting quality service, amenities, and accommodations but it couldn’t be farther from that. The room was what I would expect from a 1 star hotel. A bed and a bathroom. No coffee maker, no amenities, just a bed and a bathroom. Not even a coffee maker? I booked a premiere stay that included a $100 experience credit. They said it was, in fact, only $90 and that it only applied to lunch, despite what the terms and conditions stated. Additionally, lunch just so happened to be between 12-2pm. Check in is at 2pm and checkout is at 12pm so it’s impossible to take advantage of this premium benefit you pay for. This place is a scam. The front desk couldn’t care less. Do not book from this place despite what other reviews might suggest.

Historic, beautiful hotel. Way beyond expectations. Service was impeccable. Easily accessible by Water Ferry #1. About a one mile walk to St Mark's square. In a neighborhood loaded with restaurants but not as congested as the Rialto Bridge area. I loved our quirky, upstairs room #409. I would definitely stay here again.

Ca' Sagredo is as much a world-class museum as it is a well-sited, comfortable hotel. Located right on the Grand Canal within easy walking and water distance from just about anything in Venice, it is a magnificent, first-class hotel with equally impressive dining and hospitality. We were only able to stay one night but had we more time would have been delighted to extend our stay. Just know that while you're enjoying this magnificent hotel you're a part of history. Well worth the stay!

I took my daughter to Italy for her 16th birthday last August (late review). Before booking Ca' Sagredo, I had seen a few of the less-than-stellar reviews so wasn't expecting the amazing experience that we had. The front desk agent who checked us in was beyond kind. In retrospect, he knew they were going to upgrade us and didn't have that room ready yet. He still let us check into the original room. We left and when we returned had moved everything to the new amazing room with a view of the canal. This is a very old and historic building. It was so cool to have breakfast in a huge old ballroom and to wander the staircases. It is a quirky hotel. But in a wonderful way that made us feel like we had stepped back in time. My daughter felt like a princess. And, the location can't be beat.

Enjoyed the experience overall. The hotel building is the standout for the stay especially the first floor main area. Rooms are large for Venice and were kept in good condition throughout the stay

I stayed at Ca’ Sagredo during my trip to Venice, and it was an incredible experience. The hotel is a stunning example of Venetian history and Renaissance design, with beautifully preserved details that make it feel like you’re stepping back in time. My room was spacious, accessible, and had the most gorgeous antique bed with a gilded headboard—truly a dream for anyone who loves historical interiors. The lobby was equally breathtaking, with mannequins dressed in Venetian carnival costumes, adding to the atmosphere. There were even opportunities for hair, makeup, and costume rentals, which would be perfect for anyone visiting during Carnival. The location was also ideal—right by the Vaporetto stop, making it easy to get around the city. The staff were lovely and helpful, and the hotel had good accessibility features, which I really appreciated. However, a few things could have been improved. The mini-bar wasn’t inclusive, which would have been fine if there had been a menu listing the prices, but instead, you were just charged at the end of your stay. Breakfast was another disappointment—at €44, I expected something more than a standard continental spread. Overall, the beauty and history of the hotel outweighed the minor inconveniences, and I would still highly recommend it for anyone looking for an authentic Venetian experience in a truly spectacular setting.

Yelp
A beautiful lobby. We stayed in a jr. Suite and to say that it was dirty is an understatement. There were spots around the toilet that remained there the entirety of our stay. The linens are of poor quality. The rugs are tripping hazards. The breakfast was fair. Stay elsewhere

Yelp
Perfect location to enjoy Venice. This is a lovely, peaceful hotel w/superb staff. We enjoyed our 2 day staff here and would come again.

Yelp
Old and tired. The food was marginal despite being in Venice. The location is right on the grand canal so it has tremendous potential. We also stayed at the hotel and to be quite frank it just needs new managment. It's not a 5 star hotel or restaurant, even though it says it is. We just went on a 40 day trip through Europe and stayed at 13 hotels, almost all being 5 star. This hotel, along with the restaurant, was the most disappointing of the 13. From top to bottom it just needs new management to clean the place up and to instill a better sense of service into its employees. I normally don't like giving negative reviews but I would be doing a disservice to other travelers if I did not speak my truth with this "Fake 5 Star" as my wife so aptly named it.

Yelp
Great Staff - Front Desk, Concierge, Porters, Service Staff, Restaurant / Bar, Breakfast. Can't beat the location. The room was quite unique and comfortable.

Yelp
They charged me 16 euro per spritz at their restaurant. Normally they're 2-4 euro per. I guess I should have asked for the price first, but a blatant scam.

Yelp
I lovely luxury hotel .. once was a castle .. great location and currently has an interesting art sculpture for a limited time .. huge white hands coming out of the water grasping the hotel. This is supposedly to symbolize the plight of Venice and Climate change.

Yelp
Room is beautiful. Reception needs improvement and internet is HORRIBLE. Talk about adding stress to a trip! Not having internet is inexcusable these days. Basic like water.

Yelp
Nice people, old style 'vintage' rooms, quiet setting and 12 minute walk to Rialto Bridge. Terrible WIFI - literally unusable. Included breakfast nothing to right home about... MEH.

Yelp
This hotel is right on the canal where the water taxi dropped us off when we arrived and also picked us up to get to the airport so it was convenient. The hotel is an old style and almost look like a museum. The room was big enough and we had the view of the canal. It was well decorated with classic style window treatments. The hotel is located close to everything. Shops and restaurants are steps away from the hotel. Within walking distance to San Marco and Rialto Bridge. The staff was helpful and hospitable. When I return to Venice, I will stay at this hotel again.

Yelp
This hotel is in a great location and very historic. However, I reserved the largest and most expensive suite they have and our shower was broken. Obviously we need a shower in Venice in August. We live 10,000 miles away with no plans to return and said that offering a free night in the future would not be of any benefit. So they offered us a free night in the future. We suggested a partial refund at their discretion and they said they can't do that. Apparently they no longer have a checking account. We left it asking them to do the right thing and heard only the sound of crickets. ... . there are other places just as nice that perhaps have more professional business practices.

Yelp
I can't say enough of the staff and accommodations of this hotel. My fiancé and I were just there using their property as part of our wedding festivities, the property is gorgeous, the staff goes above and beyond to help, I was blown away by everything involved with this location. If it wasn't for the staff and this hotel our wedding day would not have been the same. It's clean, upscale, and operates professionally on so many levels - while still maintaining a genuine attitude and respect for its customers. Thank you Ca Segredo for making our wedding day special we will remember it forever. -Ashleigh and Tyler

Yelp
A Lovely Hotel, Great Location, and Really Nice Employees. We stayed here in August 2015. The hotel is located on The Grand Canal, but not right in the middle of the crowds. It is, however, right next to a water taxi station--a big plus--and a Gondola station too. The rooms were gorgeous--ours had a 20 foot ceiling that was inlaid with gold leaf and beautiful at night. The service was top flight, which is not the norm in Venice. Our breakfast was included and it was wonderful--fresh fruit, fresh fruit juices, eggs, bacon, cheeses, cappuccino, coffee, etc. etc. If we come back to Venice we will definitely stay here. They took such good care of us. Thanks 'Ca Sagredo!

Yelp
This hotel was beautiful. It was once a castle. Gorgeous. I needn't say more. The staff were wonderful, the accommodations--a junior suite--were more than adequate, and the breakfast was nice. The location was very nice, too, around the block from the water taxi and directly across from the Rialto market. I would highly recommend staying here.
