CLOSED but they have one room open (no other facilities or restroom) with an exhibit of Sergio Calvo. Great English overviews and timelines, and the paintings are worth seeing, especially for FREE. Very nice to have this art available to the town.

Well-curated and free to enter. CAAM is a clean, quiet modern art gallery with a mix of local, African, and Latin American artists. The exhibitions change regularly and often touch on social or political themes, more thought-provoking than decorative. The building is spread over a few floors with a rooftop terrace and a nice blend of modern and historic architecture. It doesn’t take long to go through, but it’s time well spent if you're nearby. Staff were polite and gave space to browse. A solid cultural stop in the old town, especially if you need a break from the sun.

Absolutely excellent exhibition by Zak Ové, with nods to Horace Ové too - possibly the most immaculate collection I've ever seen, and a great range too. And it's completely free (I couldn't even see a donate spot, which I would have done gladly).

I'm biased because I love modern arts museums, but I loved both of the CAAM museums. Both were free of charge in January 2023. The smaller one, near Casa de Colón, I give five stars, easily. It was small enough for me to take all in. I can't do big exhibitions, my brain can't handle all that, so this one was perfect for me This, the bigger one? If you go there, and you should because it's great, just have time for couple of hours to spend there. The exhibition was everything the art should be, it meddled with your feelings and your thoughts about the world. For me, it was a bit too woke, occasionally, that's why I'm not giving it five stars. But, it's art. You can and should have an opinion, and I definitely encourage you to see this beautifully constructed exhibition too.

Spacious and varied modern art gallery. Free admission and lockers for bags. Good lift access for those less mobile. Exhibits will vary but the current range focusing on environmentalism is important and well thought out. No cafe facilities and the terrace is tiny. Worth a visit if you enjoy modern art

Great art gallery with some interesting art, really interestingly put together. A modern space built into a dated location. Great space and it’s free which makes it even better!

Artistic culture of three continents: Africa, America and Europe presenting paintings, drawings, sculpture, graphics, mail art on 3 levels will surely delight you and give you some time to get to know what the museum presents. It is definitely worth it and contact with a wide range of art will give you a lot of joy and, of course, reflection.
