CAB20

Stayed here, after our previous apartment owner didn't even show up. In CAB20 had a great experience overall. The cabins are small but cleverly designed comfortable bed, clean space, and everything felt modern and well maintained. The shared bathrooms and showers were surprisingly clean and easy to use. Staff were friendly and checkin was quick and simple. It has cool graffiti art in the staircase, should check it out.

We had a very nice stay. They gave us robes and towels, the room was spacious for this kind of hotel and the staff was really nice. The only thing negative that I can say is that the breakfast is not very vegan friendly, so I don’t recommend getting the breakfast included if you’re vegan, it’s best to get food elsewhere. Other than that, I completely recommend!

CAB20 is a great capsule-style hotel with a modern and well-thought-out design. The cabins are compact but very smartly organized, clean, and comfortable — everything you need is right there. The bed is surprisingly comfortable, and the cabin feels quiet and private, which makes it easy to rest well. The location is excellent, right in the city center and close to everything. The common areas are stylish and welcoming. Overall, it offers great value for money and a unique stay experience. Highly recommended for travelers looking for something different yet practical. P.s The only minor drawback was the surrounding area, which can feel a bit less pleasant at times due to its proximity to the central train station. This is quite typical for such locations and is not related to the hotel itself. Inside the hotel, everything feels safe, calm, and well organized.

So I'll just jump right into the bad. Everything is so new in the rooms that the wood all over the walls pops and cracks. That wouldn't be so bad if I wasn't a light sleeper. That's really the only complaint I have. The facilities are clean and modern, the location is close to the train station and the staff is friendly. I expected the rooms to be stuffy since it's basically just a bed and a place to put a few things but it's not thanks to the ventilation system installed in the room. The in wall speakers are a fun bonus. They don't get very loud but that's understandable. Bathrooms are on every floor so that's no issue. I don't find the showers a problem, kind of like camping at a really nice campground. So if you're looking for a centralized place to crash in the middle of Hamburg that doesn't cost way too much, this is your place.

This cabin accommodation is incredible!! I loved it from the bottom of my heart! Modern, cosy, lots of cool features in the cabin (speaker, dimmable lights, etc.) I am so sorry that there are no CAB20 around Europe - because I would be a regular! 100% recommended!

Cool concept but lacks some attention to details. Upper capsules have almost no storage space for luggage, I was struggling to put my small backpack inside the room. The ventilation cannot be adjusted individually, the air is obviously used up quite quick. 4 toilets per gender per floor is not enough, some additional sinks would also be helpful. The stairs leading up to the upper capsules are incredibly loud, so no matter what, you will wake up. General sound proofing could also be improved, I heard all my neighbours snoring. Reception staff was very nice and available around the clock. I also recommend using a detour to walk there from the central station, especially at night.

This was my first time staying at this kind of hotel, and it was not all too bad. Yes, I did feel a bit inconvenient to get out of my room to go to the toilet / fill my water bottle, but this is the feature and I wanted to experience it. The lobby is lighted as per the time of the day (orange - yellow in the day and purple - blue at night) and the cabins were clean. The lack of windows was a somewhat concerning to me but I never felt breathless or lack of oxygen. Tip: Ask the guy at the reception and he will remove the ventilation covering so that you get a bit more air flowing in.

Stayed for a night because I needed a place to crash and paid 50 Euros and I got exactly that. Book a double room as a single person since I knew I need space for luggage and getting ready (taking in consideration that it’s a cabin) and didn’t mind the shared bathroom and shower. The bathroom can be found a few steps from my room and was very clean and presented well with motion dim lights that weren’t too harsh when you’re just waking up in the morning. The hallway is also set in a mood lighting that fits the cosy atmosphere. It was a self check-in but one of the girls in the reception helped me out so that made it easier. Neither a bottle of water nor glass were provided so had to ask extra for that in the reception and paid an extra 5 Euros for a bottle of water. The bathrobe provided is useful. It’s perfect for a night or two when you don’t expect staying mostly in the room aside from sleeping.
