Caballo Loco Hostel

Very clean, probably the best hostel I've been in so far. Not expensive at all, but very close to the center. I will come back every time I will come back to Mentevideo. The first beach is kind of far, but a nice walk at the seaside to it makes the experience better anyways.

Not a nice Hostel! The bathrooms were super dirty all the time. The dorm smelly and due to aircon very cold during the night. The WiFi sucks, so slow or not working at all..... After all it’s quite expensive for what you get. Would not recommend it. On top you are not allowed to bring drinks from outside - I consider this as a no go for a hostel.

They *really* need to work on cleaning the showers more often. Rooms need windows, it all gets stuffy during the night. It is very quiet and accessible, it just need to be cleaner.

Cosy hostel in a great location in Montevideo, walking distance to everything! Cool people good vibe, great brekky. One of the nicer hostels I stayed in throughout South America.

Excellent location to walk to all the tourist sites, shops and markets. Very friendly staff who are super helpful as well. All speak English.
