Cabana Bâlea Lac

The location is extraordinary and the service is on point. Unfortunately the food left something to be desired... I didn't order the second course considering that the soup came cold and full of oil. This restaurant is worth visiting just for the view. The beer is expensive too but I appreciated the location.

I cannot grade the rooms because we only ate the dinner there, but it was very tasty. And the papanasi (local donuts with cream and blueberries) was delicious! If you want to eat tasty food with beautiful view I can highly reccomend this place. Staff was helpful and kind.

Stayed here for 2nights, the staff was very friendly. The rooms were in good condition, a view is amazing. We hiked to Negoiu peak it was a challenge took us 10h to reach the peak and come back to the lake.

Food was excellent. Homemade authentic Romanian food. Staff were very friendly. Highly recommend if you are travelling up The Transfăgărășan Highway.

Wonderful visit during a May snow storm! My stay was only one night but I found the staff and rooms were extremely accommodating. Would recommend to anyone and stay there again myself!

Is situated în the heart of the Wild Mountains so be carefoul when u book when the road or the lift is closed! Best accomodation, tracking and food at over 2000 m!

The best place for relaxing with adorable views like from fairytales. Delicious food in the hotel restaurant and save hotel. Very fresh air. Recommend !
