A very good place to stay overnight or to eat! This is a place that, despite being in the middle of nowhere, is very well provisioned and with very lovely people. There are some sockets and there are places to charge your phone but otherwise there is not much else. Running water is in the form of two taps outside but there is very good WiFi and signal. There is a shower but it uses cold water and (like the toilets) is found outside. There is a good choice of food, for breakfast and for dinner - there is a choice of drinks from water to beer. I recommend wholeheartedly! To sleep, it is about 60 lei or 12 euros a night and you can sleep in a room with beds and a blanket as shown in the pictures. It is warm and clean. I absolutely recommend this place, at night there are many stars that can be seen and during the day, the views are great. It is a perfect break for hikers or visitors of all kinds!

**They now accept cards, but it would be smart to bring cash in case the signal fails**.... This restaurant is a welcome sight after a long walk in the Pietra Crailui mountains! The hut is in a spectacular location, and serves a good range of basic meals, drinks, and sweet stuff. If it's good weather everyone sits on the terrace to enjoy the view. Prices are relatively high, but to be fair they do have to haul everything up a rough track in a golf buggy... I'm not sure how they got classed as a "4 star hotel" though, they do have rooms but they're clearly a long way from 4-star!

We have camped there. There is a fix that steals food from tents if it is not properly stored (in trees), but otherwise it's a great place to camp, to eat, to watch the Perseides.

Very friendly and helpful staff! Amazing location, close to all the hikes, clean beds and linen, we recommend to stay during weekdays and not weekends. You have to try the apple pie!

Our stay here was great. The hosts are very helpful, polite and friendly. The rooms are shared, but very clean and well kept. There are no showers, as running water is missing at this altitude (1440m), but there is a spring where you can refresh yourself and also refill your water bottles. The food served here is basic, but very tasty and the prices are decent. The nature surrounding the cabin is mesmerising and it is so quiet in the evenings/mornings. A place where you can really enjoy some time far away from the noise and agitation of the city. The hike to the cabin takes 2-3h and there are multiple routes, each with its own charm (difficulty easy/moderate). You can start at Fantana lui Botorog (Botorog's well) or at the nearby villages (Magura/Pestera through La Table/Prapastiile Zarnestiului). For the adventurers, after a night or more spent here, you can go even further and try to reach one of the many peaks around, but take into account the difficulty, which increases manyfold on the mountain ridge.

The view is nice, and the cabana itself is beautiful. However, it's kind of disappointing to see so many people feeding the fox. I really hoped it wasn't a wild fox that has turned into a pet because of human behavior. Hopefully, it was rescued or something. Anyways, the fox has turned into a bit of a nuisance now and it seems to amaze people. The food is average, but if you're hungry, it does the job!

We stayed in huge and spacious dorm rooms that we had mostly to ourselves. The place is kept very clean and has a lovely rustic, pine-clad aesthetic. The food is also very nice. The cabana also has a friendly resident dog and very fluffy ginger cat to make friends with. Toilet facilities are very basic however. Just a pit drop- not even composting. Otherwise It's the perfect place for exploring the surrounding mountains!

Went there during my hiking trip. Everything fine: good food, nice view, the personnel of the chalet is nice. The outdoor toilets could be improved: to have at least running water. Will go there again when I'll have the opportunity.
