Cabañas Morerava is a very pleasant place. Nothing fancy. As their website indicates, there is enough room for six people. And unless there are six of you, there should be plenty of space. ||||The cabañas is constructed as one long “room.” The front has a porch with two chairs. Inside is the front room (I guess equivalent to living room) with a futon/couch that can be converted into a bed to sleep two. Connected to that is the kitchen with a full size fridge, two-stove burner, sink, and variety of cutlery and dinner wares. On the other side of the wall from kitchen is a small closet like area with shelves for storage and the bathroom. Further down is a sleeping area with two twin beds, and at the end is another sleeping area with a king size bed. In the back is another porch with a hammock. There is a sliding divider for privacy for the room in the back. There are plenty of windows to let in natural light. ||||Breakfast is served in a building a short walk from the cabañas. It’s pretty simple but fine. In term of dining in general, there aren’t that many options since you are on an island in the middle of the Pacific ocean. You can eat at one of the restaurants in town, about a 30 mins walk away. Or buy grocery from several of the small grocery stores in town and cook your own. ||||I don’t know exactly when the checkout time is for here. But they were extremely accommodating and nice to us. Our flight was in the afternoon and we were told that we can relax in the cabañas until we decide to go to the airport. Originally we planned to drop our luggage off with the airline and walk around town until our flight depart. But it was raining so that wasn’t a good option. Then we found out that our flight was delayed for 5 hours, so instead of leaving in the early afternoon, now it would be late evening. But again, we were allowed to stay. Furthermore, Marcella went to LATAM without us even asking and got us meal vouchers for the delay. Perhaps this is a small island and people are just nicer, but I don’t know of many other places that would do this.||||So based on the staff alone, I would recommend this place.||||A few minor things to keep in mind so you won’t expect too much and be disappointed with your stay. This isn’t a luxury place. The flooring is wood so it makes creaking noises when you walk around. And if you have “heavy walking” neighbors, you will hear them, as we did. The water pressure isn’t that good, so adjust accordingly when you shower. WiFi is slow. You can’t throw toilet papers in the toilet. There is a waste basket for that. There is daily housekeeping and the place is clean. And finally, there are a lot of stray dogs on the island. Don’t be surprised if they follow you when you walk around. They are generally nice and leave you alone, so even if you don’t like dogs, it won’t be a problem. You can arrange for complimentary airport pickup/drop-off with Marcella.
