Cabañas Palmeras de Mahahual

Ok. It's a good location but i booked it because it has first floor rooms. My wife is handicapped. Still it didn't have a ramp. Also the rooms are dark, especially the bathroom. I liked the beds and pillows. And Samuel was nice. Kinda expensive for what you get.. Oh, and they have to do something about that smell under the porch

The room was simply a place to lay your head....but the noise outside kept me awake. I am currently in the room and it's past midnight and I can hear people outside and upstairs. Our bathroom has a drip from the ceiling and the walls to this place are thin! I can smell the faint smell of gasoline. Seems clean enough, but it's hard to tell because the lighting is so bad. Very dark. The positives include a nice location with a view of the beach across the malecon. There are some bikes that are free for one hour, but they look rough.

😊: Cabins were spacious and clean, bathroom was good.. 😢: Overall the location is nice, as it is on the “main street” of the Mahahual strip, and you have ocean view. However, the pictures on Booking are a bit misleading, as the hotel is cramped between two concrete buildings. Also you’ll have to cross the street before you get to the beach..

We really enjoyed our stay here. Every evening we watched the sunset from our "balcony" in front of the cabin. We can definitely recommend to ask for the cabins that are on top so you can enjoy the first row view on the ocean. The room was nice and big, the wifi reception was extraordinary and we had warm water. We would definitely recommend this place!

The cabins are in a great Location right on the Mahahual boardwalk, its only a step away from the best part of the beach. The rooms are very clean and cozy. The staff are very friendly and they will provide you with the best of care during your stay. I would be happy to go back.

😊: Seafront Good location in Mahahual Clean. 😢: On pictures it looks like those are cabanas on the beach but it’s actually just a decorated building between the other concrete hotels.

These RUSTIC cabins are in a perfect location. They are in the main area of the malecón/board walk. All the restaurants, bars, and shops are just seconds away. The beds were super comfortable and the cabins were very clean. The cabins are beach front but the hotel doesn’t have a beach club. But don’t worry there are plenty of beach clubs in the area that only require any purchase for you to use their beds. You can also find a spot and take your own towels and beer literally right in front of the cabins. The hotel offers bike rentals for $2.50 usd an hour or $12.50 usd for the day. If you ask me I think the rental should be FREE with your stay. There were two things we didn’t like. We couldn’t find a happy medium with the water temperature, it was either blistering hot, seriously blistering hot or cold. We had to opt for cold showers. The second things was the air conditioner, it wasn’t cool enough. I’m not sure of the ac didn’t feel cool since we were in the top cabin and the roof is made from straw to all the cool air left the area immediately. I think this problem could se solved if they added a ceiling fan. My husband and I were happy with the overall experience and we would definitely return and stay here.
