Cabañas Sierra Gorda

I loved my stay at the Cabañas Sierra Gorda. The room was very comfortable and food was amazing. Location is great and calm and at walking distance from Jalpan city center.

These cabins are awesome- The design is really cool and very eco-friendly! It felt as clean and well-kept as a luxury hotel, but also very down-to-earth and homey. The grounds around it are covered in beautiful native plants. When we were there we could also watch the little hummingbirds all around. There are a couple of nice spots on the property to sit and eat or drink coffee.||||Location is a quick walk to Jalpan, and the nearby lake. It's a cute little town with seriously amazing local food. ||||The staff were super helpful and organized, and the rooms were very clean when we arrived. Sierra Gorda Ecotours is also really helpful in arranging amazing nature experiences without being overbearing or requiring you to have a guide with you all the time. They have a network of trusted restaurants, cabins, etc all over the region. You can tell that they really work with and for the local community to make tourism positive and sustainable. ||||Love, love, love!

We so enjoyed spending two nights in these lovely cabanas! We loved the veranda, with comfy seats and complimentary tea and coffee. Flowering passion flower vines, fragrant lime trees and hummingbirds abound. Plenty of rest in the comfy beds, a large shower, and bird watching at the reservoir in the early hours a mere 10 minute walk away. One room had space for 5, with a huge king sized bed and a loft with space for three more! Jalpan is within walking distance for meals and siteseeing. But the big draw is the nearby wild and culturally rich Sierra Gorda with adventure possibilities galore.

We stayed here for several days, and the cabins are a step up from the other hotels we visited in our trip - very comfy and cute! The area around the cabins is full of beautiful native fruit trees and flowering plants, and there are lots of great places to relax and watch the hummingbirds. The hotel is also a pretty short walk from Jalpan's main square. Highly recommended!

Spend this week-end in one of these wonderful cabins in Jalpan. They are incredibly well-designed and offer the essentials for a nice weekend getaway. Beds are comfortable, toilets and showers are clean, location has few benches around and it is ideally quiet. A short walking distance to the Reservoir, host of many bird species and a rich vegetation.

Beautiful, clean, very well organised. A few mins outside of town but walkable and closer to the lake.|Stayed in 3 eco tour cabins whilst in the Sierra Gorda Biosphere - all different, all beautiful with lovely staff.|Fully recommend.

On the edge of town but close enough to walk. Very quiet!
