Nice and modern gitte. The dining room can get a bit too warm when there is a lot of sun and the acoustics could use some improvement, but the food was nice and everything was very clean and organised. The shower system needs a drawing explaining how to use the showers. I’ve seen more than six people get confused, lose their coin, use cold water or need to put their clothes back on to ask for help. Just a simple 3-step drawing would be so helpful.

Great cabin, not so great hosts. Be aware the host changed this year, the previous one was great we were told. Originally we had individual tabs for our consumption, which were then all put into one, only to then individually take apart when paying. Nonsense. Dinner was pasta & sauce, not quite what one looks forward to after a day of hiking and paying not so little for food. Card payment is possible only after lots of discussion. Also, the price for those who descended early was on our bill still - instead of being grateful we showed up at all, the weather was perfectly suitable for a cancellation altogether. We were the only group for the night, yet breakfast (which was good) absolutely had to be at 7 o'clock. Mind you, we left at 11 due to bad weather. The only thing the host couldn't do much for was the lack of view due to fog. Still, won't return.

In terms of the views and location this is an amazing cabanne. It was also very clean and comfortable to sleep in. In this sense it deserves a 5/5. However, the service and food were awful. The quality of the food was terrible as the eggs at breakfast were rotten (and we received no substitute or compensation); in the picnic bags 2/4 had rotten carrots and 1/4 had a rotten apple; all the sandwiches were made with bread that was clearly old and almost stale. However, dinner was good. The most disappointing part was the treatment we received from the staff who were quite unaccommodating, bordering on rude, in spite of our group being very polite at all times. Though I will return for the extraordinary views, the experience we had was sadly very disappointing and in stark contrast to any other cabanne I have ever been to in Switzerland.

Amazing place with amazing food and views. Just sit out on the terrace, get your coffee or meal and watch the sunset going over Mont Blanc or Lac Leman. Easy to get there from the parking lot (around 1hour of walk). Worth of going around a bit to get some nice views.

Superb hut from the Swiss Alpine Club. The shortest way to get there is a 1h30 walk up hill from parking Les Martineaux. It is also on the 3-4 days tour des Muverans itinerary. The views from Lake Léman to Mont Blanc are superb. It's also a good start point to reach the summit of Dents de Morcle using La Grand Vire steep rocky path. The sunset picture is from 2005 before the hut was renovated.
