Cabane Mont Fort

We had an absolutely wonderful experience here. The service was excellent from start to finish, and we were lucky enough to get the best table with an amazing view over the ski area near Verbier. A special thanks to Adam, our friendly and attentive waiter, who made the whole experience even better. The cheese fondue was outstanding, and the dessert was just as good – everything we tried was delicious. On top of that, we were even treated to a complimentary shot at the end, which really showed the genuine hospitality. Super friendly staff, great atmosphere, fantastic food, and a beautiful view – we couldn’t have asked for more. Highly recommended!

The most awful experience for lunch here. The waiter said we needed to pay quickly as he needed to shut the tables down and go home. We said that’s fine and paid the bill and whilst he said 260 francs out loud and not providing a bill, we were charged a random 369 francs. We then asked to see the bill and had been charged for 4 bottles of wine when we had one. We were then also charged 16 francs for one bottle of tap water and their response was ‘Did nobody explain that to you that you are charged 4 francs per person for unlimited water?’ - we weren’t. We asked for a refund and were shouted at and they went inside so we had to go and demand a refund. They wouldn’t put it back on the card and gave us half the cash. After persisting they gave back the amount we had overpaid. Nobody apologised and the main woman was extremely rude and another man tried to push my father out. Do not recommend and if you do end up here by accident make sure to check your bill. We tipped and regret doing so massively. A shame because the location is fab.

The location of Cabane du Mont Fort in Verbier is absolutely excellent and offers some of the most stunning views you will find anywhere in the Swiss Alps. It is the kind of place that should be a highlight of any trip to the mountains. If you are stopping by for a brief rest then the snacks and wine are a must especially the almond croissant which is a genuine standout on the menu. While the terrace provides a great setting for big groups to gather and enjoy the sunshine the overall experience is unfortunately brought down by several significant issues. One of the biggest problems is the way they manage the space because they cram the seating in so tightly that you feel as though you are sitting on top of the groups next to you. This lack of breathing room really takes away from the majesty of the scenery. Furthermore the staff need to be much friendlier because they currently seem a bit rude and are not interested in pleasantries at all. You definitely do not get the sense that your custom is valued. To make matters worse the food has much to be improved upon and simply does not match the premium nature of the location. It is a real shame for such a world class spot to be held back by poor hospitality and mediocre cooking standards. Go for the view and a pastry but be prepared for a cramped and indifferent service experience

We had the best lunch at the Mont Fort Cabin. Flo was super attentive to our group, he made our lunch great fun and nothing was too much trouble. The Rosti was yummy and Flo even found the ski for shots… great fun!

As soon as we walked in, I knew there would be trouble; the woman (who I think is the manager), could barely fathom the manners to show us to a table. Once we sat down, the food was good, and the service actually quite quick. However, then the bill came… alas, we were not given a physical receipt until we had coughed up the money so the chap serving us could “close his tables early”. He told us it was 260, then our Monzo notification showed it was £369; when we got the receipt they had tried to charge us for 4 bottles of wine, even though we had 1. They failed to explain you had to pay for €4 each for tap water. When I notified them of the mistake, I reassured them that mistakes happen. Though, they absolutely butchered their attempt at refunding us. They took forever to consider paying, then when I eventually went in to hurry things up, all they could up was pay half the money they owed and refused to consider giving more; i suggested they recalculate and was met with a tirade of abuse from the original woman who showed us to our table, after that i simply said you shouldn’t be shouting at customers, and if they could give us the rest of the money, we would head on our merry way. They eventually caved, after a much more long winded conversation than i am prepared to write about (lucky you, readers), though i will Mention one of the male team members shoved my father in law… talk about customer service! They also couldn’t put it as a bank card refund but only cash (least of our worries). All in all, this place is a good location, but they did try and pull the wool over our eyes and scam us. Furthermore, they should reconsider whether the manager should be allowed to continue her front of house duties…. Wont be giving our custom here again, and suggest you dont either (especially if english).

Had lunch in the most beautiful setting ever. Service from Flo was outstanding,onion soup and rosti were delicious. All homemade and the bread was fantastic. Can't wait to return.

Never ever in my live did I have such a dismal experience in a restaurant. Apart from a rather mediocre "fondue au truffe et champignon" the manager (a very unpleasant lady) all of a sudden approached our table and accused us of racist comments that we apparently made towards one of their waiter. I got really upset and ask the lady manager to call the waiter himself to the table for him to tell us exactly what we were accused of. Turns out he wasn't even the waiter that served us. He confirmed it wasn't us but neither him nor this unpleasant manager excused themselves. On the way out the waiter that served us stopped me to tell us it wasn't us but it happened before we sat down. This is simply unacceptable and I WILL NEVER SET FOOT IN THIS PLACE AGAIN UNTIL THE MANAGEMENT CHANGES. We really miss Daniel and his screw who ran this restaurent with great food, great spirit and ambiance. Ever since he left it's been downhill.

We had a fantastic lunch at Cabane Mont Fort! Flo looked after us brilliantly, food was yum and the views were spectacular!!!
