Excellent food served with passion and a wide smile. The owners are very nice, speak perfect English, and are both knowledgeable of their region and willing to share said knowledge with their customers. The wines and spirits selection is great and their advices precious. The courses arrived quickly and the presentation was lovely. Overall very nice experience definitely recommend!

Excellent restaurant in the heart of Domme. Menu was delicious and very nicely pepared and decorated. Usually three menus are available from which one can choose. The menu is designed to use local products and it tasted wonderful, the dessert was especially good. A good selection of wine is availabe. Owners definitely care what they do. Be aware to reserve a table, otherwise there is no chance to get one just by walking by.

Unbelievable service and food, Celine was so great at explaining the menu options and how the menu works. If you enjoy good food and good wine, this is a must visit in Domme for a great dinner experience.

Our experience followed the many positive reviews online. The waitstaff were friendly, patient, accommodating and efficient during our visit. Most important, the food was excellent with trout gravlax and tatin canard forestier standing out. All of the desserts were of very high quality (I believe they have a pastry chef on staff) and the strawberry pistachio dessert was particularly exceptional. I appreciated that they had a good selection of regional wines by the glass and the courtyard setting was also inviting. Our dinner definitely stood out among the many meals we ate while travelling between Paris and Toulouse.

We chose this restaurant for lunch because of good reviews. Love this cozy place. Nice decor. The waiter doesn’t speak English, but tried to help. Food was amazing, but we had to pay with cash because of some Internet problems….

We had an amazing evening at Cabanoix et Chataigne. Delicious food, splendid atmosphere. Highly recommended.

lovely place, peaceful, inviting, warm. very nice hosts. and the food was wow. seasonal fresh ingredients, wonderfully treated. very good wine recommendations. loved it. can't wait to come back to this area and eat here again.

We were there three weeks ago and it was just fabulous! The setting is wonderful, the service excellent, and the food just wonderful! We can't wait to return, and we will, soon!

Absolutely the best restaurant in Domme. We ate there three times ... and spoke with French patrons who always made reservations when they were in the area. The chef is famous for his foie gras and deserves all the accolades. The grilled foie gras is fantastic. Another selection that we loved is the Torchon made with Armagnac ... seriously, I wanted that serving to never end. Don't think just the usual pate ... the five foie gras plates at this restaurant top or match anything you could find in Paris. There is a pop up toaster in reach of every table so that one can toast the bread as one needs it. The bread is cut just the correct size for the little toasts. The menu is wonderful ... You will find vegetables (missing in too many French restaurants) and very creative plates.

The local jeweler recommended this restaurant and we are so glad that we went! We had the grilled foie gras which was fantastic and I had the duck Magret. I thought it was excellent. The service was excellent and the decor homey and comfortable, down to the cat which made himself right at home in a neighboring chair. We would have eaten here again, but alas, it was our last night in Domme.

I give the restaurant an average rating. Granted the Fois Gras was excellent. But the main course beef was a poor cut with little flavor and the duck Magret was so-so. We read the Yelp reviews and had greater expectations and drove to Domme based on Yelp and hotel recommendations. Not worth the drive unless in Domme already. Vin de pays was good.
