Cabano's Cheeseburgers

What the hell happened? A year ago Cabono's was one of the best burgers in Toronto. I personally have recommended this place at least a dozen times to friends and family. Now? 25 dollars for two anemic cheeseburgers that were no where near the weight they claim (1/4 pound of meat) with the saddest toppings I've seen in a burger outside of McDonald's. These burgers had LESS meat than a McDouble; and for three times the price! The 7.49 fries are HALF A BAG that were clearly cooked 30 minutes ago, and left to limp in a heater. What an absolute disgrace. This place used to mean something in the Toronto food scene. Good grief, does every good eats in Toronto need to fall apart? *Update to the merchant comment.* 25 bucks is the normal cost of these burgers. That's what I'm calculating here. 11.86 * 2 + tax. That's $27.18 I picked up the order. I was there right when the order was complete. This, is exactly what it looked like when I got home a block away. I am positive. I previously wrote you guys a glowing review, and have been coming here almost every week. This was just a pathetic excuse for what you guys used to produce. I don't own a burger chain, and don't have a motive behind this beyond showing you what you are selling. Stay positive.

The burgers were absolutely delicious! We had the cabana and cheeseburger and they were both so tasty, perfectly seasoned! The fries were real potatoes and perfectly seasoned as well. Very filling, they didn’t skimp on anything. Our combos were about $20 per person (plus tax) with bottled drinks, and well worth it. Great little fast food joint and the staff were very friendly. Highly recommend!

Basic. In the very best way. Perfect portional ingredients with very good quality meat made by trained staff who know exactly the product they want to put out. No gimmicks. Just fresh good products.

Kev and the team know how to make a burger, and treat a customer right. Hands down, without a question. Best burger in Toronto. Miles ahead. Don’t need any arguments. But further than great food, Cabanos is a business I love to spend my money at. Incredible ingredients, quality customer experience, clean place.

Absolutely love this place! Came here 3 times a week for over a year. Burgers are delicious and Kevin the owner is a great guy. I go back any chance I’m in the area. Love it!

Great smash burger option that isn’t Shake Shack tucked away in hustle and bustle of downtown. FOOD (4/5) 4/5 - Cabano Cheeseburgers. Their house special double patty cheeseburger with onions, fried jalapenos and special sauce. Nice soft and slightly sweet brioche(?) bun with tons of flavour in the burger. The heat from the jalapenos definitely builds. The batter and onions add nice texture. 4/5 - Chili cheese fries. Upgraded as part of the combo. Lots of chili and a rich cheddar/american cheese sauce. Good flavours and met the mark, however paired with the Cabano burger can be very very heavy. AMBIENCE (3/5) Small interior with an order kiosk, a pick up counter, and 10-12 bar seats. Well cleaned and didn’t feel grimey. LOCATION (4/5) Tucked away a block or so away from Bloor-Yonge it doesn’t get a whole lot of foot traffic but easily accessible by transit. Paid parking options available all around Bloor-Yonge and Yorkville. OVERALL (4/5) Solid smash burger joint in the heart of downtown. I think it’s a great alternative to Oklahoma’s and Shake Shack in the vicinity.

Great little spot! The place has a cozy vibe that's perfect for friends to hang out. The staff were super friendly and attentive. Service was fast and done with a smile. Burgers are absolutely delicious! They cooked it just right, and full of flavor. Definitely worth checking out.

Had been wanting to try this place for a long time based on rave reviews. Burger pattie has good flavor but a bit overcooked and thin. Fried chicken burger and chili fries were delicious. The TV volume was way too loud and making it not a pleasant place to sit and eat. Unfortunately my overall experience was disappointing. I won't be back.

Really good smash burger. The fried jalapenos are great and really give the Cabano Burger some character. The spicy cheese fries are basically just fries topped with cheese sauce and the same fried jalapenos in the Cabano Burger. The fries were prepared really well, stayed crispy for a long time. I think I would try the chili cheese fries next time. I think they are great at what they do. Definitely hits the spot. This place is fast casual, if you are paying with card, you can pick what you want near the entrance and then just wait for your number to be called. They were quite fast considering we were a large group that walked in at the same time. I think we only had to wait 5-10 minutes for our orders. I'm a fan of the business pricing the tips into the food. I think we would visit on a weekend next time so we can try the weekend-exclusive wings.

I came across Cabano's Burgers on Instagram, and with all the glowing reviews, I figured it was worth checking out. After going, though, I honestly don't get the hype--everything felt pretty mediocre at best. First off, I think it's been misrepresented as some kind of no-tipping, groundbreaking spot. Sure, they don't expect tips, but it's hardly a surprise since it's basically fast food. It's a super casual setup with a few narrow bar tables and some pretty uncomfortable stools. It was also so hot and greasy inside, which made the whole experience a bit uncomfortable. Oh, and there's no bathroom either, which is always a bit of a pain. We showed up around 8 PM, and while it wasn't empty, it wasn't exactly busy either. Still, it felt like our food took a surprisingly long time to come out. The menu is pretty small, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but unfortunately, none of the food was particularly memorable. We got the OG Chicken, the Cabano Burger, onion rings, spicy cheese fries, and a couple of drinks. Everything was fine, I guess, but definitely nothing special--and for what we got, the bill wasn't cheap. It wasn't terrible, but for the price and overall experience, I can't see myself going back. Honestly, I'd probably just hit up McDonald's instead and call it a day.

We saw someone try this place on Instagram and wanted to compare how it stack with the better smash burgers in the city. Upon entering, you have to order on the kiosk system. We got the single cheeseburger combo with chili cheese fries upgrade for $3 more and a soda of our choosing, so we got the grape flavour. Also got the cabano burger for $14 along with onion rings for $6. The combo for the single cheeseburger was $19. The chilli cheese fries were really good and the onion rings were quite good as well. The cabano burger stood out a bit more as they had fried jalapenos in there. The shredded lettuce was nice too on the burger where there's some crunch and not limp... To compare, this smash burger was a tad dry but had a crispier edge crunch compared to a Burger Drop or Rosie's... Overall, its still quite good and the sides are worth venturing...

Exposed brick and metal seats line the walls of this fast casual location. The staff is friendly and patient, and the are kiosks on the side for ordering and customizing your meal. If I could take this restaurant, put it in my pocket, and bring it back to the States, I would. This burger was top 3 this year. Theres a beautiful char on these small burgers, that adds another element to the flavor bomb. The fries are crispy and well seasoned, the ultimate compliment to such a kick ass burger. The icing on the cake was a Dad's root beer. I thought they were discounted. I wanna eat this burger again.

Burger was very good and I loved how they offered the dad's cream soda. The location was clean and the staff was quick with the orders. The only thing I didn't love was the chilly cheese fries, way too salty and I ended up throwing them out.

Hands down the BEST burger I've tried in Toronto. Every ingredient compliments the other. From the creamy cheese, the beer battered Jalapeños, the well seasoned crunchy patties, and the soft pillowy buns. GO GO GO!

We ordered off the kiosks - the one combo and 1 sandwich came to over $40 which I find kinda expensive. They make everything fresh so it took around 10 min to prepare our order. One nice thing is that they have a bunch of unique sodas you can choose from - we got a key lime soda which was delicious. The burger was your typical good smash burger - nothing mind blowing but I did find it a bit heavy. The chicken burger was fresh and juicy, but again nothing mind blowing. The chilli cheese fries were piled with chilli and cheese sauce - we enjoyed this but again very heavy. Overall I wouldn't go out of my way to visit again but the food was good.

I heard rumors and whispers that Cabana's was good, but it was a bit too far east for me. Recently found myself in the neighborhood and although I wasn't hungry, decided to do my due diligence. Turns out their cheeseburgers are phenomenal. The crispy edges of the smashed patty perfectly fusions with the melted cheese, while the buns still holds the whole thing together to give you the perfect bite everytime. Although the Cabana special is amazing, I would go for the classic double cheeseburger for first timers; the brightness of the ketchup helps cut through the fat. Definitely worth the detour. Burger Drops has found its match.

The Cabano burger has an unbelievable amount of hype, believed by some to be the best burger in Toronto. Well it was a bit underwhelming to me but still a decent burger. The amount of cheese in the burger was overwhelming, overpowering the flavors in every bite, and the patty was just average but the jalapeños were a nice touch. Personally it was a bit heavy for me and I prefer single burgers - I wouldn't put this place in my top 10 burgers but I would say it was solid. The fries were excellent!

The chicken sandwich here are absolutely delicious! The decor is clean for a fast food place and the server who took my order was very warm and welcoming. My friend and I came here for lunch, I ordered the OG supreme with regular fries. The patty was so juicy and the bun was very buttery. My friend switched to chilli fries and he liked it a lot. I will definitely come back to try other items on the menu, check it out if you are near the area and want to have some burger.

Glad that I finally came here! I have heard good things about their chicken sandwich! Cabano's is located on a quiet street in the busy downtown area. Hard to find a parking spot if you are driving as there is no meter parking nearby. If you go further to Irwin st (not too far, to the south) you may find a spot for street parking. I had - Fried chicken supreme original chicken sandwich plus cheese REGULAR - Chili cheese fries The fried chicken sandwich was one of the best that I have ever had. Thick, big, and juicy fried chicken is sandwiched by this soft brioche bun (with a generous splash of butter). Condiments are simple, mayo, cheddar cheese, pickles, and lettuce. The simple ingredients bring out the flavor in the meat without overpowering it. The cheese was placed under the chicken - which is unique - it makes the cheese blend well with the meat and the bun. Chili cheese fries were smaller than I expected but had a generous beef chili sauce. Nice chili flavor - no chemical sensation lol. Thought it was a bit expensive $11+ for the amount. I wished they had beer for this hahaha. Good. I was there at a peak time for lunch (12:30) but the food was ready in 5 mins. You can order at the counter and also at self-order kiosks. The interior was spacious and stylish. The eating space was with wall-hanging tables with about 10 stools. Felt that they are emphasizing that it's a quick bite space? I saw many solo eaters enjoying this quickly prepared supreme food in a stylish and cozy environment.

This is a very small but cute location located near the busy Yonge Street of downtown. I've been in the area so many times but didn't notice it since it is tucked on a small street. I came to give their CHICKEN BACON RANCH and CHILLI CHEESE FRIES a try. First up, the Chicken Bacon Ranch! I love their chicken which was tender and juicy. It was also a great size that filled the bun and more. The condiments and toppings that come on this are bacon, lettuce, pickle, and ranch dressing which were all very fitting and paired well, but I found the overall sandwich a bit salty. As for their Chilli Cheese Fries, I was given a healthy helping of chilli but could've used more cheese. Overall, this was tasty too, but again, on the saltier side. Service was just a quick interaction for me as I did takeout but was definitely friendly! Side note, be sure to ask for cutlery as my order didn't automatically come with any, despite the fact that I ordered their specialty fries which were pretty messy to eat with my fingers.

Indoor dining is allowed again, so we decided to try a quick meal at Cabano's! The fried chicken burger was juicy on the inside, crispy on the outside -- perfect in every way. It also stayed hot longer than my husband's burger! (The restaurant was a bit chilly with all of the delivery folks coming in and out; in addition, the windows weren't super insulated.) Meanwhile, the fries were a good shareable size, and the staff were friendly. The seats are spread far apart, so we felt safe unmasked while eating. The only reason why I'm knocking down a star is because they don't have a veggie burger on the menu. With all of the Beyond Meat and Impossible Burgers so readily available in other places, I'd love to see what cool things Cabano's could do for the vegetarian set.

In my search for the best burger in Toronto, I recently discovered Cabano's from an online search. I guess I've been living under a rock because how haven't I heard of this place until now? I work some crazy long hours some days and I've been relying on delivery for dinners while I'm working away at my computer. I ordered the double cheeseburger and a side of onion rings. I love that they allow you to customize your toppings and condiments and they actually have a few choices. So many places have a house sauce but don't tell you what's in it. I strongly dislike ketchup but absolutely love mustard, and Cabano's gets it right! I kept all the standard stuff like lettuce, tomato, pickles and onions and added some bacon. I was surprised at how much adding bacon cost, but it was so good that I can't be mad. I didn't take any photos but you can see on their website and some other reviews, and mine looked no different. The bun was lightly toasted and the toppings were appropriately portioned for the size of the burger. (It's annoying when you have a teeny-tiny single slice of tomato that barely covers half the burger!) The meat was seasoned just right and had a nice crust around the edges, but the patty wasn't dry. So good! The onions rings were still quite warm even though delivery might have taken 15-20 minutes. They were crispy and crunchy but a little too heavily salted for me, otherwise they would have been perfect. I think this burger is at the top of my list (so far) as being the best in Toronto. Definitely recommended for any burger lover.

We visited the Dundas location , the food is ok , they packed everything in the bag , they didn't really check if everything was in it , no catchup ,no dipping sauce, no napkin ,no fork. Luckily we asked for the drinks before we left the store , otherwise we get no drink with paying the combo price . For $50 , I regather visit A&W for $30 with better service and almost the same flavor.

What a spot. When I'd walk home from work or school on a claustrophobic and hectic stretch of Yonge, I'd sometimes cut off onto the calm and empty parallel side streets to make the trek more enjoyable. On one of these detours, I discovered a cozy little quiet side street just south of Yonge and Bloor. On this street, the refined and profesional looking Cabano's sign stuck out to me. When I saw it was a place that specialized in comfort food, I knew they were speaking my language. On my first and only visit (so far), I grabbed their Original Chicken Sandwich ($12.49) with a side of Fries ($4.50). That Southern Fried Chicken Breast tastes truly amazing. The batter tastes great and has a nice crunch. The chicken itself is juicy and was served up hot. Some fried chicken sandwiches feel like a slab of bland tasteless white meat, but Cabano's tasted great. I loved the mayo, lettuce, and pickles as well. The coolness they bring in each bite is mouth watering. $12.49 is the more or less the going rate for cool independent spots in the city, so relative to that league of restaurants the pricing was fair. The portion size was nice as well. Based on just the sandwich and it's price, I'd give this place a 4/5, but what makes it a 5/5 for me is the Cabano's Burger Sauce. Every time I try a new burger/chicken sandwich place, I need to give their house sauce a shot. Cabano's Burger Sauce is delicious. It's creamy with a slight zip. It's a blend of other condiments, but includes real egg and dairy - definitely on the higher quality side. Well worth the extra $1.25. My friend had their Honey BBQ and enjoyed it, but much preferred their sampling of my Burger Sauce (fwiw). Lastly, I must touch on the Fries. I'm typically not a fan of all these restaurants segmenting up the burger, fries, and drink for separate costs, so my friend and I split the fries for $4.50. I'd say they're worth the $4.50 as the serving size is pretty big. They taste amazing. Sometimes, skinny fries like this can lack taste or be overly salted, but these were perfect. Ours had no seasoning like cajun or anything like that, but were salted just right. You can really taste the yummy oil they dunk them in to cook and it's to-die-for. The seating area inside the restaurant is actually really great. It's a square shaped ring table with high stools to sit on. The restaurant itself is clean, dimly lit, and simple - I like it! It's a good environment to scarf down a burger. The staff were super friendly and helpful. It only took about 10 minutes for our order to be prepared. One of my favourite things about the inside of the restaurant is that they have two touch screen kiosks to order on similarly to McDonald's and Tim Horton's. The reason I like this is because it gives me time to go through the menu and slowly configure my order. In the summertime, there are a few wooden dining tables out front to dine on. Because the street is usually pretty quiet, it makes it a nice spot to enjoy a meal without being disturbed by constant foot traffic a few inches away from your meal. Cabano's is a 5/5 for me. I look forward to going back and trying their Chili Cheese Fries and Stroman Shimmy Wings.

Cabano's cabano burger is probably the best burger or my burger of preference in Toronto. The burger patties are perfectly grilled and the bun and cabano sauce and with added bacon creates such a great burger tasting experience. Been here a few times to make sure they were the taste was consistent and I'm happy to say their burgers always taste great. The service and servers there are very nice and service is quick and ambiance has a nice feel. Overall would recommend and will always keep coming back.

Quarantine has everyone going a little stir crazy. So my little treat to myself this weekend was to go downtown and try this spot out. Obviously it being our first time there we had to try ALOT. So le boyfriend and I ordered two burgers (one cheeseburger and one plain with ketchup only) fries, SPICY cheese fries and an order of buffalo chicken wings (with sauce on the side - because you know it can get messy eating in the car). Not one bad thing came out of this meal. NOT ONE. The burgers were flavourful and juicy, the buns were fluffy yet not filling and didnt overtake the flavour of the meat itself. The fries resemble Mcdonalds fries - SO you already know it is going to be good. The wings - HANDS DOWN AMAZING. They were large in size, breading was fantastic and the buffalo sauce was the perfect match. The wings were go good that le boyfriend had to go back and order more to take home with him. The client service at this establishment is wonderful, everyone had a smile and was great. Thank you so much! We will definitely be coming back and were recommending to EVERYONE to try #SupportLocalBusinesses This was DEFINITELY worth the drive from Newmarket - I would even do it if there was traffic. =)

Finally decided to try Cabano's after seeing it on instagram for a while! I tried the Cabano's burger which is an 8 oz cheeseburger with lettuce, onions, fried jalapenos and their burger sauce (which is a mixture of condiments). The burger was good, patty was juicy and cooked well and tasted fresh. The bun was buttered the right amount and not soggy. The fried jalapenos were definitely soggy and not that great of an addition (and i love jalapeños). Mind you i also ate this right away in my car, so nothing sat for too long! I also tried the fried chicken supreme and have to say it was terrible! I questioned if i got a fried fish sandwich at first because of how strange it looked and tasted. Confirmed there's no fish sandwich on the menu, so it was just a bad burger! I would rate it a 1/5 and even a Junior Chicken is more of a fried chicken burger. I tried that with the "Burnt Chille Sauce) which was barely on there. I also got a side of the Carolina Hot sauce (a mustard based hot sauce) which saved the chicken sandwich as I could dip it in there. Overall giving it a 3/5 as the Cabano burger was decent, and I'll assume I just got a bad Chicken burger.

In a word...spectacular! Our entire experience from placing our order to chowing down on our delicious burgers was a real treat! I loved the vibe of this place and it had a small but clean eating section to enjoy your meal and bop along to the music playing overhead. Excellent service, immaculate food, and good vibes. You can't go wrong!

Wow! This has to be my new favorite burger spot. Just go and you tell me. The cabano burger is the new champ

I came here using TOFinest's good passport. Tried both the hot dog and cheeseburger and man, was that one of the best cheeseburgers I've had! Juicy, cheesy, flavourful and hot. The hot dog was decent, but I think I prefer mine bbqd with a bit of char - this was boiled at most. I came on a Saturday night around 6pm and it started to get busier by 7pm. It's off the main Street so there isn't a lot of foot traffic except from people looking to come here specifically. The service was great, quiet, very clean and delicious. Highly recommend.

I've been to Cabano's a few more times at this point, and it never disappoints! My favourite thing to order now is the steak sandwich with mushrooms - it's absolutely delicious. The bread is perfectly toasted, the steak is really well seasoned and juicy, and the burnt chile sauce that comes on the side goes really well with everything. I highly recommend trying Cabano's if you haven't given it a shot yet!

My daughter wanted to try this place after seeing all their food pics on Instagram. Went today for lunch. They have a few tables set up on the sidewalk so we were able to eat there. I had the fried chicken sandwich. Big juicy deep fried breast with lettuce, pickle and mayo on what appears to be a brioche bun. Damn that was good. My daughter had the burger with all the fixings. She loved it. We shared some of their string fries. (Described by a guy at the next table as McDonald's fries before they sucked) We were lucky to be there on a free ice cream day. Yummy dish of twisted chocolate and vanilla. And the service was over the top friendly. Love this place.

Had a couple recommend this spot to me so figured I'd give it a try. I got the double cheese burger with fries and lime Jarrito. I was pleasantly surprised they had that as an option because online it only showed they had bottled coke. Burger was delicious. Really did taste like it was from my own BBQ. All the ingredients and condiments worked beautifully together. I've always had an issue with the buns in burger restaurants in general. I've always found that they fall apart too easily and it was the same here. Perhaps they have an option to get the buns toasted but I didn't ask. I had the regular fries and I wouldn't say they're the worst fries I've ever had but I also wouldn't say they were perfect. I found them to be a bit too salty but the portions were great. I'd definitely come back to try out the other items on their menu as I found the food to be great overall. The wings and cabano burger is definitely on my to try list. In my opinion this place is an upgrade compared to other franchise burger spots such as fresh burger or The Burger priest. The staff were very friendly, quick and efficient.

Cabano is definitely hands-down my favourite burger in the city. Everything from the bun to the meat and toppings are amazing. There fries are amazing, I wish they had poutine. Would be a game changer. I've had all their burgers and wings and I can't say this about a lot of places but it gets 10/10 for me.

Popped by after work to try this since it was in walking distance. I looked over the menu beforehand so I knew what to get once I got there, which was the chili cheese fries. The person behind the counter was extremely friendly! Once we ordered, there was a bit of a short wait as they had other orders to do. When it was ready, I could really smell the cheese and the chili and so I was really excited to try it out. It was really really good, it was full of flavor and I liked that they used shoestring fries instead of regular classic fries. It was hot when it arrived so I suggest waiting a bit before indulging! I would like to come back to try their burgers at some point.

Cabano's is located near the south east corner of St. Nicholas and St. Mary just a block west of Yonge. A sort of hidden place off the main strip of Yonge, Cabano's has a pretty simple menu of favorites such as fried chicken sandwiches, fingers, burgers, cheesesteaks with sides to go with your mains. For me a place that has fried chicken, burgers and cheesesteaks sort of has me in a sense that those are 3 of my favorite foods right there. While I don't have a favorite food those 3 definitely rank right up there and to be able to get them in the same spot is sort of a hard thing to do. Now I'm sort of a stickler for Philly cheesesteak because I do like them as they're served in Philadelphia and that's more known as the local term "wiz wit". That is with cheez whiz and with onions. They through in provolone in the sandwich for good measure and I'm all about adding more cheese because it never hurts to add that. The cheese steak is really good it may seem a bit pricey for a sandwich but realistically steak's not cheap. I can safely say I haven't had a good take on a cheesesteak outside of Philadelphia in many years. This place has it pretty down. As far as the chicken fingers well they are a solid go to comfort food. We were given samples of 3 different sauces, one of which was a bit a tangy honey mustard type thing as well as a zingy Buffalo style but some dark hot sauce as well was something with a defined heat. It seems they change up the sauces from time to time and this trio of sauces fit to be sampled by myself and 2 of my other foodie friends. The side of fries is a really generous serving of piping hot shoestring style sticks of gold. I really liked Cabano's offerings and I'm really interested to try the burger next. After seeing some of the photos of the burgers how could I not be curious?

Cabano's a real hidden gem. I've walked by this place numerous times but have never tried it before. After realizing that Cabano's is on food ordering apps, I finally decided to try it and I'm honestly kicking myself for not trying it sooner! Dare I say--best burger in Toronto? The bun is amazing, the beef is amazing, and the toppings are amazing! Must, must, must try!

A friend tipped us to this gem hidden inconspicuously below a residential building. The menu is short and simple with a couple of version of burgers and a few chicken iterations. Opted for the Cabano burger ($14) which has a meaty smashed patty with melted cheddar, a house sauce, and topped with pickled fried jalapenos. Was every bit as delicious as it sounds, and didn't need a side given how massive it was. The buns I believe are bakery-fresh, soft and fluffy. Service was fairly quick. The space is pretty minimalist with high tops and a few regular tables. Saw several other diners feasting on the chicken and I have resolved to return to do the same.

I've had two incredible tummy satisfying experiences at Cabano's St Nicholas St location as well as at TD Union Summer! Eggplant Parm - evenly battered and fried with wonderful bites of crispy, smothered in tomato sauce and cheese between the most incredible bun! I was blown away by the flavours and how filling it was! Don't forget the hot sauce! Cabano burger - one bite and I fell in love! I couldn't tell where the bun started and ended. Everything just tasted delicious and I wanted to inhale the burger. Meat was juicy and had this great sear. The fried jalapeños did what the eggplant did, wonderful bites of crispy. It was a saucy bite but nothing dripped and it was a good balance of sauce to meat/toppings.

This place seems like a real hidden gem, because it is tucked away on a mostly residential side street, with lots of condos and apartment buildings. The decor is very simple, but elegant at the same time; there are no pictures, just brick walls; and Edison bulbs hanging from the ceiling. Like the decor, the menu is very simple - they have a handful of items: burgers, sandwiches, chicken fingers, fries, and chili cheese fries (more on those later). While the menu isn't very extensive, what they do offer is ridiculously delicious! I had the single cheese burger and didn't have to fuss with asking for topping, because it was already topped with the usual suspects of toppings: lettuce, tomato, ketchup, mustard, and mayo. It was one of the best burgers I've had in a while; trust me, that's saying a lot! On the side I got an order of chili cheese fries which were piled quite generously and smothered with cheddar cheese and chili - still thinking about how awesome they were! As my photo can show, the box is really big, I don't think a box this big is necessary and I think it would be more environmentally friendly if they had plates for people who choose to dine in (such as I did). One other thing I would like to see done differently at this restaurant, from an environmental perspective is having more than one garbage bin. I only saw one bin for people to throw away their food scraps, cardboard boxes, and glass bottles. It would be nice if there was also a blue bin stationed, where we could dispose of our glass bottles (they serve all of their pop in glass bottles). Overall, I had a fantastic lunch and I will definitely be back again. Keep up the great work Cobano's Comfort Food!

Visited: Spring 2020 Ordered: -Cabano Burger ($14.00) -Original Fried Chicken Sandwich ($10.00) -Single Cheeseburger ($8.00) -Spicy Cheese Fries ($6.00) Thoughts: All 3 burgers were average and nothing special. I enjoyed the fries more than the burger. It was good to try this place out, but I probably wouldn't return.

Amazing! I did not expect to experience the amazing sandwich I did walking in. The veal sandwich was served on this amazing bun that had a nice crunchy crust and a nice soft but yet doughy texture that is the best of both worlds. The sauce is perfectly made with a side of pureed jalapenos that gives it that nice little kick. The sandwich itself is very big and didn't need that fries at all. The chili cheese fries was great but when paired with the sandwich, it gets overshadowed. The fries is probably one of the better chilli cheese fries I've had but personally if I was to dine here , I think I would just get the sandwich (maybe even a second to go).

I do eat here quite frequently, I am obsessed with their steak sandwich and that sauce they have is so delicious and spicy just how I like it. I would recommend you come and eat here. I have provided a receipt for you to have an idea of pricings. One thing that I realllyyyyyy hate is everytime I order my soda bottle "dad's" they always pop open the cap for me WHEN I NEVER WANT IT OPEN ahhhhh it gets under my skin.

We had heard rave reviews of the burgers and ordered off Uber Eats. We ordered a beef burger, chicken burger, chili cheese fries and received another burger for free from an Uber Eats promotion. The burger arrived intact and was not soggy. The chicken burger with the Cabano sauce was my favourite, and all the ingredients' ratio was perfect. The chili fries also tasted delicious and had a lot of meat and cheese on them, but they started to get heavy after a while. favorite

After our visit to ROM. We found this small location. It's a gem. The burger is really delicious. Especially the chicken burger with the soft bun. Super delicious. The melted cheese fries is great.

Update: Had their steak sandwich too, also very good. Paid $1 extra to add mushrooms to it. Comes with a jalapeño paste (?) that goes well with the sandwich. Not many places in Toronto that actually makes a cheesesteak so this is certainly good to have.

The place you go to for a cheat meal. Listen their steak sandwich is the best I have had in a long time. The bread is so soft and fresh, the meat is moist and tender not super chewy but not hard either. I ordered my sandwich with green peppers. Their fries are good too, hot and salty goodness I didn't even need ketchup. If I could eat here once a month every month I would but my thighs say otherwise Such a classy move with the shopping bag for my order ;loved that little touch. I definitely would recommend you try it out you will not be disappointed. Next on my list to try is their Original Friend Chicken Sandwich , Cabano Burger and Spicy Cheese fries. I can't wait !!! This is a new burger place that opened at St nicolas street near Yonge and St Mary. Was introduced to this place by my colleagues he said he was walking by one day and saw this place he tried it and recommended it. Looked at the menu and decided to ordered the double cheese burger with a side of fries. When I opened up the cheeseburger looks like any other but when I had a bite of it. It was amazing it was one of the most juiciest burger patties I have ever had. Note I have had alot of experiences with burgers from different places. I don't know how they do it but it works. After I finished the burger I wanted another one. Not because it was not filling, but because it was so good! The side of fries was ok, a bit dry. They also have chicken, veal, egg plant and steak. One of the better burger places i must say.

I was first introduced to Cabano's last year at the Union Station summer market. For obvious reasons this isn't happening this year, so when I was craving their awesome buffalo wings yesterday I decided to walk up to their physical restaurant instead. Tucked away on St. Nicholas street near Yonge & Isabella, I found comfort food heaven and ordered my usual - a pound of buffalo wings, extra saucy. While waiting for my food I took note of items to order next time, including fried chicken sandwiches, cheeseburgers, Chili cheese fries and more. If the rest of their food is as awesome as their wings it's a winner in my books. My food arrived quickly and I scurried to a nearby park to eat. The wings were perfectly cooked, seasoned with just the right amount of sauce and drizzled with ranch dressing to take the heat down a notch. At $16.50 it's a little on the pricey side, but the quality of the food and obvious care that goes into making it is apparent and I really appreciated that. While comfort food such as Cabano's is not something I could indulge in every day, it was a real treat and I can't wait to go back. Cabano's - comfort food done (VERY) well!

We've heard some good reviews on Cabano's and thought we would walk over there and try it out for ourselves last night. We did a pretty good buy and try to get a true sampling of their concise menu: Cabano double burger...... excellent. Nice twist with the fried jalapeño peppers. Double cheese burger very In and Out burger like..... excellent. Fried chicken sandwich very good. Fries simple and good not too salty. Pound of chicken wings as good or better than anyone's. The swirl soft serve was too big for one and can easily be shared. Only drawback on the experience was that there was only 3 available soft drinks, blame it on supply chain. All in all would recommend this to anyone looking for a very good burger and not a ridiculous gourmet burger price. Will definitely be back.

I order from this spot minimum once a week! Their menu is limited so you know they do everything to perfection! The burgers and fried chicken is amazing! The burger is fresh,big and juicy, with crispy edges, double patty, layered cheese and a signature sauce than can only be described as a mustard-like Big Mac sauce.... I don't know but it is mouth watering. The fried chicken is just as good and large with the same signature sauce. It's always a decision as to which one I should order. The service is outstanding. You have to try!!!!!

Surprisingly exceeded expectations. The cheeseburger is wafer thin and the bun stays puffy throughout the eating experience. A good ratio between bun and patty covering both sides. Would return. My partner and I also shared the chili cheese fries which, had the fries been curly, would hit the whole mouth feel out of the park.

So we ended up here with my food passport We had the fried chicken sandwich and the cheeseburger. Also the spicy cheese fries. I think i enjoyed the chicken sandwich best but it could use a but more sauce. The cheeseburger was so fresh and made to order, im not a big fan of red meat but my hubby loved everything. The spicey fries were good but not my fav, although again hubby loved the spice and the toppings as well. Wont be back. Food passport is awesome giving you the chance to taste many places without spending too much.

An excellent spot for burgers and chicken sandwiches. The Cabano burger with deep-fried jalapenos was great, as was the chicken burger with hot sauce. Fries were perfectly crispy. Portions are large and prices are reasonable.

Definitely one of my favorite burger places in Toronto and their fries are my favorite! A bit low key and discreet in terms of the locations Update: 19/09/21 The quality of the food has went down. Used to be thick cut fries with lightly salted, now it's just regular thin cut fries with a ton of salt. Burger still taste pretty much the same but I usually come because of how good their fries were. Nothing too special about this place anymore, won't be returning.
