The rooms were filthy and falling apart the only working outlet in the room was coming out of the wall and being held in place by two wires. The bed sheets were dirty there was hair from the previous guest on the pillow indicating they are not changing the bedsheets after a guest checks out. The showers were dirty, and everything was rusting and falling apart. The floor felt like it had not been cleaned in weeks. This was at 8:45pm and the staff was already gone, and I had nobody to talk with onsite regarding the room. After getting settled in bed (wearing clothes because of the dirty sheets) I had to listen to the pool party that was occurring until 1:00am. In the morning, I went and spoke with the hotel staff and showed them the pictures I had taken. they simply said they would have a conversation with the cleaning lady. I left that morning feeling like I needed to take a bath in hand sanitizer.

5 star review because of many reasons. 1. Walking distance to the beach. Got to watch the locals surf which was sick. The black sand was heavenly and then sunsets were so orange and pink and grand. Also walking distance to a nice beach restaurant and the local connivence store. 2. Owners and employees were so kind and get you anything you need like extra blankets or towels. They also recommended very fun outdoor activities for us and places to eat. 3. The AC was super cold and chilly which we loved while going to sleep at night 4. The pool was so nice to use after a hot day. Very refreshing and luxurious 5. Always clean and well maintained.

Cockroach, ants and mosquitos f you are searching for a swimming pool, you are in the right place. But if you are searching for good accomodation this is the worst. First of all it was impossible to reach the reception staff, then they change our room for no reason, placing us in a room where the door leaves a space on the top for all the insects of Costa Rica to come in. We found two cockroach a finger long on the bed, ants everywhere and mosquitos for all night long. We wanted to rent surfboards and gave us wrong information about the rentals. For 45 $ pp per night I rather sleep on the beach.

The place was just Ok as the raiting selección said... We brought our dog, brew our Coffee and even the place is really close to the beach, alse there's cámaras all around the yard, cctv. We saw really close to the place, big red parrots, Lapas! Beautiful by the way! But there were too much noise at night, peopple going up and down the wood stairs, like 11 pm, they were still like playing on second floor, there were not many outlet powers. It was Ok

The rooms are a little outdated, but they are clean, have AC and hot water. The staff were very kind and helpful. The beach is just around the corner, and there are several mini supermarkets nearby.

Great place with clean rooms and friendly staff. I’m coming again next year.

Cute open air hotel/morel setup. We had a large room on the second floor. It gets super hot here and the A/C takes quite a while to adjust for cooler sleeping temps. Walking distance to restaurants and convenience store. Pool was out of service as they were upgrading, but we didn’t find out until check in.

This is a place to chill, relax. Surf and beach 2-min walk. Rooms and beds are really comfortable. Hot showers, nice AC. I slept so well here. Kindest and coolest staff, helpful. Cool shared kitchen setup, filtered water, coffee available. Some good restaurants/cafes very nearby.
