Cabinas Coloso Del Mar

The Coloso is located on Playa Zancudo. My husband, myself and a friend stayed in the casa and it was very roomy for three people. My husband and I stayed in the bedroom on the first floor. The mattress was THE BEST mattress we've slept on in our 19 years of traveling there and having air conditioning in the bedroom was wonderful! The staff was very nice and helpful. They responded immediately when we had some minor issues come up. In addition, the food at the restaurant was very good. The fish was fresh and we particularly liked the pasta Alfredo with shrimp. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay there.

The resort is quiet, the staff are friendly and helpful. And it's a few paces from the beach. The cabins are clean and each one has a great,|View. Very spacious with lots of trees.|I can relax on the veranda or lay in a hammock. The ocean temp is perfect, at the right time there are good waves out front, and Pablo is a short drive away..

We were welcomed at the entrance with smiles and big hugs. The restaurant serves fresh made food filled with kind people and easy conversations. The new owners Karen and David have done a great job in their hiring of attentive staff that are willing to assist in a wonderful stay. I got to take part in an off shore fishing trip. The chef prepared a delicious meal using our fresh caught Tuna that was the best I’ve ever tasted. New mattress were installed in all the cabins the day before we got there and were very comfortable with almost silent AC. We felt safe and welcome buy the locals everywhere we walked thru town.

It was hard not to only give this place 1 star because I don't want to share lol. It's perfect for what I was looking for from my Costa Rica trip. Surf was great for me and my girlfriend. Neither of us have been surfing long and we found absolute solitude when we wanted it. There great waves for early to mid level surfers. Food was amazing. All the guests and locals that I met were extremely friendly. The owners Karen and David were exceptional at making us feel like we were part of a family. Looking forward to coming back. My girlfriend just said to mention how clean it is. Always new sheets, comfortable beds and sunsets out of a painting every night so far..

We had a wonderful stay and look forward to returning! There were so many activities to do like fishing, surfing, river boat tour and a beautiful beach to swim and hang out. The fishing is world class. The cabins are clean and very close to the beach front making it to easy to slip off your sandals and enjoy the beach on a whim. I am so picky about how I sleep so having the AC in cabins was amazing!! The surrounding jungle is filled with life and color. We saw birds, monkeys, beautiful lizards and a sloth! The restaurant on-site was wonderful and the staff is so kind. But most importantly everything was reasonably priced.

Right on the beach, beautiful views. The cabins are cute, rustic and have great beds and sheets. The place is really peaceful if you just want to relax and get away from it all. The food at the restaurant was DELICIOUS. Ted made us feel right at home. We will be back .

I had a great experience. The place is very remote and surrounded by beautiful nature 🫶🏻 |It is right next to the beach.|Good waves without any people in front of the door.|Hidden gem for any surfer that would like to improve their surfing without fighting with crowds.
