This is a great location. Very close to the beach. The room we had was lovely. But the service was almost hostile and quite unfriendly from the moment we arrived. I'm not sure why. Don't let the miserable faces put you off. It's a great spot.

We stopped in for dinner and found an absolute gem of a restaurant! Super friendly service, the cocktails were delicious, and the meals were 10/10!! Caribbean shrimp and Avocado Tuna were so delicious. It was our favourite meal in Costa Rica! Highly recommend, don't miss it!

Really enjoyed our slowed down time at Christina's. The town of Tambor is super sleepy and spread out. But it was a nice break from the actioning/adventuring we'd been doing.||Located right next to grocery store SUPER LAPA, any supplies you need are close by. Also, the restaurant fare is varied enough, tasty enough, and affordable enough to merit most of our dining here (there are a few other dining options nearby).||The family is super nice, and they provide that great (imo) combination of down-home charm and help, without sacrificing professionalism and cleanliness. It was so welcome after our very bad experience with Vista De Olas in Santa Teresa. We stayed in a 3 bed (two singles and 1 twin) $60 bucks with AC, mini-fridge, private bath. Great deal. ||Chilling out with a beer watching boys play soccer on the beach was the high action of this town. At the tail end of our trip, it was the perfect place. Christina's, located just 200m from a resort charging $150-250 a night, was perfect.|||Pro tip: Going to Tortuga island is a great experience. Lots of cool wildlife, and the snorkeling is decent. $42, but not recommended unless you have a car. Taxi will be $20-$30 each way : (.|The ferry port is about 20km. Tambor Airport 10 minutes away.

We found this place just based on Lonely Planet recommendation ad we were fully satisfied. It has been only one and last in Nicoya. Staff was very helpful, friendly and communicative, three generation of owners are very busy to take care of guests wellfare. Everything is clean, tidy, value for money score is very high. Cuisine, dinner especially prepared by Cristina is excellent, location perfect next door from grocery and very close to beach.

Cristina and Eduardo are wonderful hosts. I experienced such a warm and welcoming atmosphere at their restaurant and enjoyed the local fresh food a lot. I also liked our bumpy conversations (since my Spanish is a bit “rusty”). It was a pleasure being a guest at your restaurant!

Clean adequate size room and bathroom with A/C and television plus breakfast! Quiet, peaceful, friendly service….allowed me to store some goodies in kitchen fridge. Some of the best food found in CR made with great attention and care. Stay a night, relax, slow down, stroll to the beach, grab a treat next door at the small grocery, inhale, exhale, smile, Pura Vida😎

We stayed for a few days here and enjoyed the warm family hospitality; clean, comfortable rooms and delicious restaurant. Eduardo, Cristina and family will help you with anything you need. They organize tours and provide transportation anywhere you need to go at a reasonable rate. The beach is a two minute walk away and is gorgeous! Sweet little Costa Rican gem in Tambor!
