Cabinas Jacaranda

Great location for town. Situated a few blocks behind main drag.|A little oasis with inviting mosaic pathway meandering to all rooms.|Extremely simplistic, quirky rooms. Air con was an additional charge of $30.|We encountered an ant 🐜 problem in our room. We arent adverse and fully expect these things when staying in cabins but they were all over the bed during the day. Bathroom was ok. the sink literally came away from the wall. (Room 7) Cleaniness in our room could have been better - lots of cobwebs for authenticity. On the upside, We did have water though even when the whole town didn't for a day. |

Hotel Jacaranda is one of the most special places to stay. You are at the heart of town, at a walking distance to best beaches, world class surf spot and top restaurants and yet the owner has created the most beautiful garden to make you feel in the middle of the jungle. The staff is very kind and helpful, treat you as a family member. You get high quality services for a very low price. I am so grateful that this little paradise exists. I will for sure visit again. Had a great stay at Cabinas and Apartments Jacaranda in Puerto Viejo! The place is cozy, clean, and super close to the beach. The staff is friendly and made me feel right at home. Definitely recommend it for a chill, tropical getaway!

Great location right in the middle of everything You're surrounded by nature. Very beautiful and picturesque. However, the rooms could be a little more modernized with updated furniture or at least the linen The staff was great. The place was well maintained Nice quaint place. I would recommend it. I just would updated and modernize the furniture and add some special touches like cleaning the ceiling fan and the spider webs flowers on the table

It has a nice garden tranquil separating rooms. Air con is in some rooms but you have to pay extra. Considering location it's a money making exercise. The have a small kitchenette with fridge and utensils etc. Handy for fruit or making own breakfast etc. Outside showers for after being at beach. I used my towel after a swim at beach and they changed towel when asked. Varying strength of wifi but free. TV in room but didn't turn on so can't comment. Security gate locked in late afternoon when reception not manned but given a key to come and go. Easy access to main central street 2 blocks. Quiet. Drying area for clothes. Sorry forgot to take room. Bathroom small but functional. Hw. Rooms small but OK. Linen clean.

This hotel was so quirky in its layout and design which I found endearing considering what else I’d around.|Maybe it’s because there are so many hippies in town.|Jacaranda Hotel and Jungle Garden is located nearly three blocks back from the beach and two from the main street. This colourful hotel starts with an entrance that has a beautiful mosaic pathway which extends inside to the the courtyards.|The rooms are generous in size with my room having a double, a single bed and a separate room with a single bed. Bathroom was modern and spacious. Plus a hammock and covered outdoor area with chairs where you can sit and chill (well sweat really because it’s so humid).|For an extra $10 US a night you can have air conditioning. There are a few outdoor tables and a separate kitchen for use by guests. The hotel is surrounded by a cozy botanical garden, the rooms are well equipped and the location is very good, 200 meters from the center of Puerto Viejo recommended

We had room 9, which is ground level and exits out to a garden where there are two hammocks and some benches. The gardens make for a lovely atmosphere. Room 9 came with one double bed and one twin bed. The room size isn’t very big but the bathroom was quite large proportionally. We had a pleasant stay and had AC in the room. I think the room could use a few more handles though, like on the door to the bathroom and on the main door from the inside. No breakfast included here but waking distance to a great place called Bread and Chocolate that is open as early as 6:30 am.
