Im so sad. Used to come here all the time. Don't know if it is different owners but they were SO RUDE. Did not get the same room I booked and did not get a different price although it's clearly different prices between the two rooms online. Ive been here so many times and was so surprised by his behavior. It was not right to be talked to the way he did. I even told him he was being rude and he just carried on in front of a group of 10 women. Go elsewhere.

This was one of our favourite places. The rooms were so spacious and private. The private river access was very nice. The service and free breakfast was also very good! The location is right next to the park(drivable) and the free swimming pool(walkable).

Our stay at Cabinas Piuri was a great stop. The highlight was undoubtedly the private access to Rio Celeste for swimming. We were even fortunate enough to spot an anteater strolling along the riverbanks, which was an incredible experience. Additionally, their breakfast tipico was delicious and a great way to start the day.

If you're looking for a private getaway here you go. The river is just a few steps away. We stayed in the giant egg! It had everything we needed and was so cozy. There are several restaurants just minutes away and breakfast is served fresh every morning. The national park and trails to the waterfall are only minutes up the road. I would recommend this to anyone and would stay again.

The location is perfect for a visit to Rio Celeste and Tenorio. The river on site was nice but it was raining too much when we visited to use. The grounds were nice but could use some maintenance, we were not able to drive down the hill to the rooms and it is a little far carrying luggage. The room itself could use some updating, but overall we enjoyed our stay. The host of very friendly and the breakfast was delicious. Can't wait to see what they do to the place.

Absolutely loved our stay here! We were lucky enough to book the egg cabin which was fairytale-good; and our host, Alexander, was just lovely. The food served (breakfast included, evening meal additional) was delicious. Being able to walk down to the river for a swim was a real treat, and generally the grounds were great for exploring and spotting birds and wildlife. I thought this accommodation was really exceptional value for money. Can’t recommend it highly enough!

This place is a great example of Tico managed lodging in a natural setting. The folks in charge are incredibly friendly from the moment you arrive. There are a wide variety of cabinas to choose from. Be sure to check out the egg! |The private trail to the river swimming hole is amazing. Easy walk up and down. Clean. Safe. And so beautiful. Avoid the crowds and trampled trail at the park and enjoy the blue water here. |We are two típico meals in the restaurant and they were delicious HUGE servings of food. Served with a smile and pleasantries. We camped on the property in our truck camper and it was sheer perfection. |If you can handle a few frogs, bugs, natural setting and the real Costa Rica, this is your place. If you need polished floors, bleached towels and uniformed staff, there are other options in the area. We were beyond thrilled with our decision to spend our money here and support this family. |BTW- that water fountain is a natural spring that flows in a stream through the property. And Piuri is the indigenous name of the Rio Celeste. So beautiful!

Super nice spot to camp with its own private river with super blue water. Nice family and good breakfast. Great view also of the mountains and countryside. Close to the national park! Definitely recommended for a few nights to recover! Thank you family and especially regarding our 4x4 (stuck in the mud) ;)
