Good stay and shared bathroom option was fine for us. The space is clean. Only thing that bothered us is the nearby location to the road. Our room was adjacent to it and it was very noisy with the motor cycles and even someone with a chainsaw at 3AM?! Breakfast was good, reception staff was friendly and helped us book tours and arrange everything. Kitchen space was fine to prepare a simple meal. Popcorn machine was nice addition. Woman leading the breakfast staff could’ve been a little more warm, she didn’t seem a morning person…. Overall fine value for money but I wouldn’t book a room next to the road again.

My wife and I really enjoyed this place. They have a great patio overlooking the town/mountains and our room was cozy. It was a budget hotel so we knew it wouldn’t be anything luxurious but it met all our needs!

Pros - very welcoming and helpful reception staff, they helped with trips and booking - good seating areas and views - varied breakfasts - access to kitchen - sold beer and soft drinks - early check in - comfy beds Cons - very loud road kept us awake - very compact bathroom, I had to get into the shower to close the door ! - very strict breakfast service, need to have a slot and staff very strict and grumpy - room wasn’t cleaned and we had to empty the bathroom bin ourselves and ask for new towels

Most rooms were small, but staff upgraded us for free in the suite, which I highly recommend to pay for. Everything is close by walking distance. Staff was super helpful in finding the best things to do in the area. Our breakfasts were always plentiful with fruits and great food. Everyone was super kind. ||Only thing to note is that it can be very, very noisy when it winds and there are motorcycle running all the time, but that is probably true every where in Santa Elena. ||About the rooms, make sure you validate which room you have, some of the smaller ones are really small. The larger one are spacious, beautiful, clean. ||We loved our stay.

We (myself, wife and 2 teenage daughters) are on a 4 week trip around CR. Travelling by bus and trying to do lots of self catering. We picked this because of the communal kitchen, but unknowingly booked a family room that had its own kitchen and eating area with AMAZING views. This calls itself a hostel, but with the room and communal spaces(terrace with hanging chairs) it is one of the best places we have stayed so far, and for the price unbeatable. Ro and Diego were super helpful. Breakfast was great. And the location is only a 2 minute walk to town. Would highly recommend.

My friend and I arrived early to Cabinas Vista Al Golfo and were greeted at their security gate by friendly staff. The private room/private bathroom was exceptional - large, clean, and comfortable! The wifi was a little bit weak in our unit but that could have also been due to the intense winds that we experienced. Parking was in front and behind our building and monitored by cameras. Breakfast was included with fruit, eggs, and pancakes. Quite delicious!
