Cable Beach Backpackers

We stayed here 13 days ago and again last night. The place is clean, tidy and very well organised. The staff are lovely, friendly and efficient. I have stayed in backpackers all over the world and this would be one of the best. I can highly recommend for budget accommodation.

I enjoyed staying here. I had no issues with the hostel washer and dryer and it only took one hour. They have powerpoints for charging electronic devices which I liked. They allow you to store your luggage if your departure time is much later than your checkout time which was the case with me. I came back to the hostel and had time to kill before my taxi ride to the airport and they allowed me to use the pool. The pool was very cool and soothing and a very welcome break from the scorching hot day. They have fridges to store food. I would recommend that this backpackers built and installed some personal lockers in the rooms because they were none and lockers will mean your personal items you don't want to lose are safer. The backpackers staff actually walked with me to show me my room which was going the extra mile. This backpackers also has a small area where you can buy cold drinks.

Me and my friend stayed for 4 nights and it was great! The kitchen was clean and accessible, the rooms were cleaned daily too, the shower and toilets were also tidy and clean. The only possible downside is that there was no aircon in our room but they have fans and it was cool enough at night that i never once overheated.

Extremely disappointed with the service. We paid and reserved 2 months in advance for a 4 person shared air conditioned room for 1 night. Our party is 4. Upon arrival they split us into 1x8 person shared male dorm, 1x8 person shared both gender dorm, 2x8 person shared female dorm. They proceeded to tell us that in a hostel you do not choose your rooms... when confronted that they weren't honoring their reservation for the extra that we paid for a 4 person room and air conditioning they offered us a full refund. I DID aslo notice that when they showed me that all 4xperson air conditioning rooms were fully booked, that they were booked under STAFF. We took the refund and went to Beaches of Broome down that road, a beautiful hostel who gave us a private room for a similar price. BE CAREFUL, CABLE BEACH BACKPACKERS DO NOT HONOR FULLY PREPAID RESERVATIONS.

This hostel is amazing, I’m 26 and always been a hotel gal but I came with my partner and tried this hostel business. It was awesome- the staff are so friendly! It’s a gorgeous place definitely know you’re on holiday when you’re chilling in the pool with this mini jungle around you. The bathrooms were clean and there’s lots to do around the place! I stayed for 1 week and I don’t regret it and will be excited to come back! I heard some of the rooms were a bit hot but we just cracked the window with the fan and were super comfortable- lots of people just chilled on the hammocks or in the pool having a drink until it was time to sleep.

The staff are super friendly and very helpful. They have lots of fun social nights in which guests can interact with each other. A great location just up from Cable Beach and the bus stop outside the front door is very handy to get into Broome township. My only constructive feedback would be that for a private room it needs to have an air-conditioned as the fan doesn't help keep the room cool.

I’ve stayed at better and stayed at worse. This hostel is middle of the road, more for those in groups or who don’t need or want a sense of community.
