Cable Beach Backpackers

I had such a great stay at this backpackers and would certainly recommend it! Safety was never a concern, lockers were available, and the overall atmosphere was super respectful and relaxed. The staff were friendly, approachable, and always happy to give tips on what to do around town. The location is spot on so it was easy to get around without any hassle. Facilities were also well looked after: clean bathrooms, a decent kitchen with everything you need, and common areas that made it easy to meet other travellers. Overall, it’s a solid choice if you’re looking for a safe, comfortable, and social place to stay in Broome.

At 46, this was my first time at a backpackers and I enjoyed it more than I expected. The staff were all helpful and friendly and most of the other guests/roommates were chatty too. Lots of open spaces to either sit by yourself or join in a larger group. The rooms were nice and quiet but I think just as an older traveller, I'd prefer 4 beds not 6. The beds are SUPER comfy though. Facilities were all great and easy to use. I'd definitely stay again.

I’ve stayed at many hostels, but Cable Beach Backpackers is truly special – and that’s mainly thanks to Sol and Ella! From the moment you check in, you can feel the genuine hospitality. Sol and Ella aren’t just friendly and professional – they go above and beyond to make every guest feel welcome. Whether it’s answering questions about the hostel, giving tips about Broome, or just sharing a laugh, they always take the time and bring so much positive energy. I’ll definitely be back 🙌🏼

The location close to the cable beach is amazing. The cleanliness is good, especially for a hostel and the staff and manager are willing to help and engaged to keep the place running. Neverless is the rent still quite expensive and sometimes another employee is missing during peak times.

I stayed at the backpackers hostel from June until September and had the best time! I made so many amazing friends and will be leaving with incredible memories! The managers were always so kind, helpful and friendly! I will miss cable beach so much!!

First back packers I’ve stayed and it was a wonderful establishment always clean and tidy with quality facilities! Excellent service and the staff are always so nice and friendly! Not to mention the location so close to the beach restaurants cafes and pubs! Next time I’m in Broome I will definitely be returning! I would not recommend staying at Cable Beach Backpackers. While the location itself is fine, my experience with the owner left me feeling very uncomfortable. As a paying guest, I expected a welcoming and respectful environment, but instead I felt uneasy during my stay. A hostel should be a safe and friendly space for travellers, and unfortunately, that was not my experience here.

Stayed here for a wedding and it was absolutely perfect. Great common area with good vibes and friendly staff. There were fun activities put on to enjoy. Great location with the Spinifex pub across the road and walking/e scooter distance from the beach. Rooms were perfectly fine for a backpackers and everything was clean. This is a great place for a lowkey and budget friendly stay in Broome.
