Cable Beach General Store & Café

A local store with a few of every thing. They do food (cold and hot), lots of drinks, and miscellaneous homewares and other items. I didn’t like the coffee but their breakfasts are pretty good (had the avocado smash with eggs twice as well as the scrambled eggs). Friendly enough people. Conveniently close to many hotels/resorts etc across the road from Diver’s Tavern.

This corner cafe and general store has just what you need. It has a variety of drink choices, prepared food perfect to take to the beach and delicious dishes to enjoy on the premises. Stopped in for breakfast, had coffee & a bacon & egg roll. The staff is friendly and attentive. The place opens for lunch and dinner and it serves drinks. Kids are welcome and can be entertained by playing miniature golf.

Beautiful and nice place with great food. We did breakfast 3 days in a row. Good coffee, friendly staff 😊 we also try the pizza for lunch and was yum. Highly recommend it if you’re looking for good quality food.

Delicious food, reasonable prices and friendly service. My wife and I had breakfast here and we were very happy with our meals. Ordering was easy, our food and drinks came quickly. The portions were perfect for breakfast and tasted great. I recommend you give them a go.

Absolutely loved lunch at Cable Beach General Store. Homemade sausage rolls and the perfect sandwich. Being a complete sausage roll enthusiast this was a huge highlight!!! Linda, the owner, was a friendly and welcoming host. We enjoyed the late morning brunch very much after a beautiful walk on Cable Beach. Really loved the ‘General Store’ vibe - it felt so welcoming and just what we wanted while enjoying beautiful broome.

“I had high expectations for this restaurant, but unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment. The food was bland, overpriced, and poorly presented. My dish arrived cold, and the ingredients didn’t seem fresh at all. On top of that, the service was slow and inattentive. Definitely not worth the hype or the money. I won’t be coming back.”

I’ve driven past here so many times without ever wondering what is on offer. I was after something to take away and was pleasantly surprised…everything from burgers to fish and chips to curries and pasta. I went for the seafood basket for 1 and for $26 I thought it was pretty good value. It include 2 flathead fillets , onion rings , crumbed prawns and a heap of chips with a small container of tartare sauce. I couldn’t eat it all and it was ready in 10 minutes. There is seating available too , I’ll be back to try breakfast.

Burger cost $26 - was missing some ingredients and unripe hard avacado. No chips included. Fatty oily burger. Milkshake was just milk and a tiny bit of topping almost flavourless. No icecream. Terrible and won’t be back. Pity because it used to be great. New standard and pricing is outrageous.

A hidden gem for an inexpensive delicious breakfast. Yummy bacon and egg sandwich with the owners dog providing entertainment. If that's not enough for you there is also mini golf and full meals available. Groceries etc as well. Don't miss this place next time you're in Broome!
