This place was such a gem. The rooms were clean, the hotel was adorable, and everyone we met there was so nice. The hotel was centrally located and walkable. They also organized a ride to the airport for us that was easy and affordable. I'd definitely stay here again!

My in-laws stayed at the Cabo Inn Hotel in one of the Palapas for our wedding, and they absolutely loved it! The service was exceptional, and the location was perfect—close to everything we needed. Highly recommend for a comfortable and convenient stay!

Google
Disgusting hotel. We booked a room on Booking based on the photos provided and the size of 16 m2 for two people. When we got there, we were assigned a room of some 3m2 not like anything seen in the photos. Water was cold only with very thin current. Kitchen in horrible condition. They're so cheap they don't even give you shampoo. When we asked for a bigger room, we were surprised that there was no hot water in that room either, we asked for a refund and were refused. The hotel staff is a bunch of crooks. Booking was complicit with the hotel staff in not refunding us. That was a terrible experience that made us suffer from our stay in Cabo San Lucas. DO NO GO THERE.

Google
Great deal ! The best location, walk minutes to Walmart, restaurants, buses, the marina, 15 minutes to the beach with more restaurants and QUIET !! The rooms back to the street have some traffic noise daytime, other rooms are so quiet. Safe, front door locks at 9pm, immaculately clean. Beautiful garden setting with plants and decor. Top floor patio is beautiful. Shared kitchen downstairs. Rooms are not fancy but comfortable, nice beds, most rooms are small but perfect for solo travellers, some rooms are bigger. Showers are a bit strange, good hot water but it flows then slows... AC works great though room temp is perfect. Great price. So 5* all things considered. The best thing is the wonderful front desk staff and cleaning crew. I booked 2 nights, ended up the whole 7 nights of my visit. Thanks guys until we meet again.

This would be a really nice hotel if they fixed it up and gave the place a DEEP CLEAN. The pillowcases were dirty, bed was uncomfortable and bedding smells bad. Mold in the restroom shower. The refrigerator didn’t work at all. I stayed one night and left. I most definitely see the potential in this place however they have allowed it to run down. The other reviews listed are not even close to the truth in my opinion .

I can't say enough about this little gem of a place. I stayed there on my birthday, and when I entered my room I found a bottle of sparkling wine, balloons, chocolates and ... wait for it ... a dozen red roses!|I thought my family had arranged for it, but it was the hotel. !!!!!|I was already sold on the hotel's authentic vibe, easy walk to everything, and friendly staff - but this put my stay over the top. Muchas gracias, Cabo Inn Hotel - you made my stay extra special and I'll never forget it!

Google
Nice small room. Enough for 1 person, but I think I would be too small for group of two Good service I’m sad that Italian restaurant closed :( they had very tasty pizza

Google
Love this hotel! Rooms were modest, but exceeded expectations for the price. The rooms were also clean and pleasant. On site Italian restaurant was excellent and picturesque. The location was very convenient, with a nice walk to the beach, or a quick block to the nearest taxi stand if one prefers that. Also near a mall and a Walmart for staples. The location is also convenient to inland blocks where it feels like an older and less touristy neighborhood. If one prefers the more hedonistic and touristy, the marina area and surrounding bars and fun are also close by. The hotel staff were incredibly helpful, friendly, and just nice as one could ever ask for. I spent a fair amount of time just relaxing in the courtyard reading and relaxing. It’s a nice place.

Yelp
Bueno!!! This is my fifth year staying at this bonito garden style hotel, the friendliest staff and feels like you're going a bit back in time! Trees growing through the foyer beautifully accenting with the common area and the stairwells. New and very comfortable mattresses. Great "AC" and each room has a refrigerator. Actions speak louder than words, there's a reason I stay here every time I come here to go fishing! Gracias!!!

Yelp
Extremely quaint hotel. Centrally located in downtown Cabo San Lucas. No Frills just basic service but plenty of history. Cute rooms and atmosphere. No frills just basic service. Rooms were clean and nice. Office had a number of places close by to eat. Panache was an Italian restaurant 2 doors down which had some of the best Italian food I have had since I worked in Little Joes Italian restaurant in L.A. The shrimp linguini with pistachio sauce was outstanding. Service was teriffic.

Yelp
I don't like to leave negative reviews (you can clearly see this if you look at my other reviews), and I reached out to the hotel to try to resolve the issue before leaving a review. They said I was threatening them, but I was actually giving them a chance to fix the situation. I think they called it "extortion", but I would much rather leave a review about great customer service than a negative review. All I asked for was for a refund for the night I was charged and didn't stay. I booked this hotel on Expedia because they said they have a pool listed on property and showed pics of said pool. I get there and there is no pool (among other negative differences compared to what's on expedia). I get pics of the pool from old reviews would show up, but it was listed as still there. I immediately cancelled and was only there long enough to while I dealt with expedia to cancel. I have video proof with a time stamp. and a message to my host with a time stamp showing I checked into my new accommodation within the hour after I arrived at Cabo Inn (I have the exact time I arrived there from my uber drop off). Cabo Inn still charged me for 1 night even though they had false advertising. They also told Expedia they wouldn't refund me because I was there for more than 3 hours. Then they dishonestly said 2 hours which is still a lie. Again, untrue and I have screenshots of Expedia telling me they said that and as I mentioned proof of the time I arrived and the time I arrived at my new accommodation one block away. I know accidents happen but to still charge me for one night because their listing was incorrect was crappy of them. They told me just to go to the beach like it was ridiculous to expect and want to use a pool that was included in the listing. I booked this hotel specifically for the pool as I am disabled and often do not leave the hotel property when I travel depending on how I feel. Due to my disability I can not go to the ocean and swim. I have serious balance issues. I tried explaining all of this to the hotel and they blew me off. It was very inconvenient to have to cancel and book a new place on the spot and then to be treated the way I was was shocking. I think Expedia has since updated the listing, but the hotel should have done that months ago when they got rid of the pool, not waited until I went up the ladder at expedia regarding the listing. The treatment I got from the staff and owner was aggressive from the start. Especially since they admitted there was no pool and they were aware the listing still had it. They even tried to bring the recent hurricane into it as a reason they charged me one night. Beware of this shady place. I wouldn't be leaving this review if I couldn't 100% back up my claims. I am sure the owner will dispute it or lie about something else to try to cover his ass, so if you have questions, or want to see any proof of my claims, feel free to message me!

Yelp
This hostel/hotel could be extraordinary. It's got a light filled courtyard full of plants and it brightly painted and bohemian. It was more funky than chic, however. Of note for those traveling by car, there is no parking on site and street parking is difficult. We booked through AirBNB, and some of the promised amenities were absent. For example, there was no coffee available as our booking indicated there would be. The biggest issues we had, however, come down to health and safety. Our room had fleas. I saw one and my children woke up covered in bites. Additionally, the electric is a dangerous nightmare of extension cords, some in poor repair and an eventual electrical fire is inevitable. The potential doesn't overcome the present reality.

Yelp
I was waiting to write my review until after check out to make sure all went well. Ever been to another South/Latin American country? Well, this hotel is similar to what you'll find in the local hotels there. No, this isn't the Hilton or Hyatt. This is a great private room hostel type hotel though. The rooms have comfortable and clean beds, chest of drawers, hanging space, small Tv, and bathroom. My room was cleaned daily with care and the sheets and towels refreshed. The sheets and towels are clean, if well worn. The hotel isn't spotless but it is clean. The AC runs nice and cold, and the fan is usually enough on a warm night. I didn't have the same issues with noise as some other reviewers mention, it was relatively quiet for the length of my stay. My one neighbor did bring his dog who didn't like to be left alone and he smoked outside of room, which wafted a bit in to mine (nothing major). The rooftop pool and lounge area is wonderful and relaxing and I found myself up there often. The hotel is also walking distance from everything. It takes less than 10 minutes walking to get to the beach. And it is steps from a ton of great restaurants. Checking and check out was a breeze. Staff were amiable and quiet. I got my key deposit back without issue. There's free coffee in the morning and you're welcome to use the common area kitchen (clean up after yourself!). Overall this is a great hotel, for a great price. I booked an Expedia package deal and I'm very happy! Highly recommend if you're this type of traveler.

Yelp
This little gem is not recognized enough. It's your home away from home and the prices are unbeatable. Definitely a Mexico feeling while visiting Mexico. doesn't seem like it would be so breathtaking from the outside. I love the fact that there's a common area with a fridge to store all your food/snacks. And to use for cooking. you can save yourself quite some money. A toaster :) for some good avocado toast and coffee in the morning. Rooftop is the coolest, cutest thing ever. Thank you Cabo inn for being so welcoming. All the staff was lovely especially the maids. Literally in the heart of downtown you will never need a car.

Yelp
What a wonderful little piece of paradise found inside this little gem of a hotel. My 1st trip to Cabo and a friend is staying for a few months now in this hotel. Doesn't look like much from the outside but as soon as you step in the the courtyard which rises 3 stories covered with beautiful plants and vines crawling up the natural log timber construction, stained glass doors and open air feel to this amazingly clean and well kept property! I have been here just a few days now and today happens to be Thanksgiving. Victor the owner and his lovely wife and family cooked a full Turkey with all of the fixings dinner for everyone staying here along with some long time friends who stopped in. What an amazing treat for me who's family is so far away in Boston to get some amazing home cooking and spend some time with some great people. Now to move on to my accommodations. My friend is staying in a nice basic unit on the 1st floor. When she took me for a tour up to the 3rd floor where they have 2 roof top cabanas one on each side which are truly something out of a magazine. Indoor/outdoor bedroom with a hot tub on the patio, straw hut roof heavy red curtains which can be pulled for privacy! I can't imagine any 5 star resort in Cabo who would have a more authentic tropical experience as this place. Truly have to see to appreciate it! The staff here are amazing they go out of their way to direct you, find you the best deals, send you to the best resource etc. Cannot speak any higher of this 1st class hidden gem!!!! I cannot imagine visiting Cabo again and not wanting to stay here!!!!!

Yelp
This is a quaint hotel with lots of character. A great place for a quick stay in the heart of Cabo that accepted our dogs and treated them with love. The staff is incredibly friendly and we will definitely come back the next time we roll through town with our furry kids. Thank you!!

Yelp
Anyone writing a bad review of this hotel should be ashamed . We were charmed from the first moment we stepped into the office Granted, the room is small but we had a queen bed with clean linens, a clean bathroom with clean towels changed daily, a flat screen TV and an air conditioner, and the room was clean, clean, clean. The staff, including the owner, was very pleasant and helpful. The cook, Patricia, made us our favorite breakfast and REALLY GOOD coffee every day. We were about two blocks from the main street and had no trouble getting around to shopping and dining. We would DEFINITELY come back !!

Yelp
I loved staying at this hotel. It's in a centrally located area - next to a convenience store and great restaurants. Really convenient. We could park on the street and walk everywhere we needed to go. The room we stayed in was nice and cool (they have air conditioners in every room), with a little window that looked out into the colourful courtyard. It was nice that it didn't let in that much light, we got a great nights sleep. :)

Yelp
Do not stay here. These people want your money and do not care about customer satisfaction. If all goes well, I'm sure the manager (Chupin) and the woman at the front desk are very nice and the hotel is cute (and cheap) However - our experience was not that. We were charged for our stay at check in. When we were taken to our room there was no window, the two beds they gave us were tiny, the sheets were wet(and had brown stains), there was no place to put our belongings and the room smelled like bleach and mildew. We asked for a new room and nothing was available. So we asked for a refund because I've been to Cabo several times and know that there are plenty of other cheap and equally and cute (and clean) places to stay. The manager - Chupin - said he would be willing to refund us if we contacted booking.com and had proof that we would be allowed to cancel. We did just that, Booking didn't mind and sent them and email AND called them. Chupin did not honor this promise and still refused to pay us back out $199. Still waiting for a refund. These people are crooks. I wouldn't risk booking a room here.

Yelp
This is my second year staying here and I would definitely come back again. The staff went above and beyond for my boyfriend and I when we left behind our luggage in the shuttle. The shuttle company failed to answer our calls in the beginning, but after three days of consistent attempts, the staff were able to get hold of the company and retrieve our bag. The staff, especially Chupin, further elevated our experience at Cabo Inn. We were able to enjoy sunset cruise and water sports at reasonable prices through his connections. He also knows the area really well and makes excellent recommendations of where to go & eat!

Yelp
If there was something less than ONE star/Negative star this INN deserves it. Dust...Dust...Dust. Please stay away and DONOT ruin your vacation. There was a TV with no REMOTE, Shower with no Shower head, Air conditioner which only makes NOISE, Toilet which is BROKEN, Towel which has not seen water may be for months, Pillow cover not washed may be for years, And a hotel room with NO WINDOWS. Pinesol and cleaning detergent piled just outside your main door. Bed room with bed bugs or I dont know what it is.......we all had severe allergy....mosquitto everywhere in the room..........and the List goes on. The only thing was great for this INN was its location. Poor Service. The lady in the front desk was very rude. Not pleasant or welcoming personality. Andrea(?) the front desk boy was was little helpful. They have not done a deep cleaning may be in years. Dust everywhere.......... The white bath towels have yellow stains as If its not seen the laundry machine for years. I have no Idea why Expedia will market such a low class INN in their website. Please dont get fooled. Do your research and enjoy Cabo and its rich culture.

Yelp
We had an incredibly negative experience staying at the Cabo Inn. The place seemed fine and our 7 year old Lonely Planet guidebook picked the Cabo Inn as the best bet in Cabo, so we figured we were safe reserving a room ahead of time over the internet. Boy were we wrong. DO NOT stay in the roof top "palapa" units. I have stayed in budget hotels in over 17 countries and the palapa was by far the most negative experience I've ever had. We paid over $100 a night to sleep, basically, on top of a roof. There are wicker walls dividing the bathroom from the sleeping room. It is possible to make eye contact through the walls while sitting on the toilet. By far the worst part, though, was the fact that it was as loud as sleeping on the street would have been. There are no walls and people from the street will easily be able to look in at you in your bed, and the Cabo Inn is situated right in the heart of the action. If I had paid $20 dollars for this experience, I would have been disappointed, but wouldn't be going to the trouble of writing this review right now. But at over $100 a night, I am incensed. Don't stay in the Palapas at Cabo Inn! It is a complete rip off and you won't sleep a wink. Good luck!

Yelp
The Cabo Inn is a complete rip off. We made a reservation over the Internet for one of the palapa rooms. Having never travelled to Baja I had no idea what a palapa was. Their web site only says it has a queen bed. When we arrived we found out that the Palapa was an open air grass hut on the roof of the building just a block off of the main strip. By this time we didn't have any chance to get a different room anywhere else. We were stuck. For $100 a night we had the experience of sleeping on the streets of Cabo. This was by far the worst traveling experience I've ever had. The false advertising and lack of information is abhorrent and no one should ever get stuck in that dump. If you want the experience of sleeping on the streets of Cabo San Lucas, with the sounds of the clubs, screech of cars, and a drunk homeless man singing songs to a feral cat by all means burn $100 a night sleeping on the roof of this "Inn".

David F.

Yelp
We were pleasantly surprised when we first arrived at Cabo Inn Hotel. You definitely get what you pay for at $66/night - slightly dirty, no shampoo or beach towels, but livable & relatively safe. The communal kitchen is also a nice touch. Things quickly turned south at checkin. They put us in the wrong room and told us to switch rooms after we had already unpacked. The new room had no air conditioning, and they didn't offer a new room or compensation; only three $1 beers. We also asked to put our passports in the safe, which they said doesn't exist. We were disappointed to have booked a hotel that advertised a safe and A/C, both of which were not provided. Then we noticed our phone charger was missing. We told the man at the front desk, but he accused one of us for misplacing it. Finally he called the cleaning lady and confirmed she had taken it. Once again, he offered no apologies or compensation. One night, the staff member knocked on our door at 10:45pm and aggressively scolded us for apparently leaving the front door open. We informed him that we saw people walk through right after us so it wasn't us who didn't close the door. He spent two full minutes reprimanding us for something we didn't do, and we felt very uncomfortable that he came to our room so late at night, especially when we knew there was no safe and things were missing from our room. At checkout, the man refused to return the key deposit because he claimed he already returned it. He had been rude during every previous encounter, so we didn't bother arguing since we knew it wouldn't get us anywhere. We will definitely not return again - one star.

Yelp
As far as budget hotels go, this is a good option. It is located just a few blocks from the Marina so it is close to the action. Upon entering there is a shared space with a TV and coffee in the mornings. The rooms are definitely small and include a bed, a small fridge, and a small bathroom. Because of the courtyard set up and its proximity to the action it is pretty loud at the hotel and you can often here people talking, cars, sirens, etc. Service was sub-par and there is no breakfast on Sundays or filtered water containers in the rooms.

Tawny D.

Yelp
Cute little hotel to stay in if you are ever in Cabo. Small room, just enough to sleep and shower; perfect because you will be on the go and venturing out. This hotel is adorable and literally in the middle of town: 5 minute walk to the the marina, the bars, and pretty much everything. Loved how the hotel was colorful, filled with cultural and traditional settings.

Julie F.

Yelp
If I could give no stars I would. This place is like a hostel. Towels are gray and dingy and smell like they were washed in pine sol. Room was horrible. Sheets had hair all over them and were never washed. I asked for a refund the same day but was told no refunds. Front desk was rude. I slept with beach towels covering the one spot I slept on top of the bed. LOUD is an understatement! Doors slamming, sirens, people yelling. I wouldn't let a dog stay there. I checked out early and lost my money but who cares it was worth it to leave. I forgot a few things in the fridge, one being my water flask and went back 20 min later. The "staff" was sitting around the table when I went in and I said I forgot something in the room, they said it's open go in and get it, bed was made (same sheets) and dirty towels were hung. I went in the fridge and the beers were gone and my flask but they left my juice and water (both half drank). I asked where was my flask and they told me they didn't find anything till I started to get mad then the maid went in her room (ya they live there) and brought it out along with my beach towels and beer. I'm sorry but if you find something in a room I think you are supposed to tell the front desk about it. Not go put it in your room. Bottom line is this place is gross! Pay the extra 30 bucks and stay somewhere nicer! Lesson learned!

Elizabeth L.

Yelp
My students and I didn't stay at the hotel, but took surfing lessons. Best service ever! We all had such a fabulous time.

C C.

Yelp
A cozy and perfectly located inn. The rooms are small but they provided what we needed - comfy bed, cable tv, mini fridge, free wifi and A/C. Unfortunately, the pool was under repair, however, there were multiple common areas (and a hammock) to lounge in. Free coffee in the mornings, affordable and delicious breakfast menu, and cold beers for $1! Just a few minute walk from downtown/mall/nightlife/marina and a 10min walk to medano beach. Ask the friendly staff about any transportation/activities - they will make sure you don't get ripped off.
