This place is a gem! Nobody lives here so it's wild and a great escape from civilization. You have to reserve a buoy a few weeks ahead of time here and absolutely no anchoring is allowed. Hiking is great here. Go up to the castle or take the 7 mile round trip hike to the lighthouse on the west side of the island. Tons of cute little geckos scurrying around and they're surprisingly not so shy. They are curious and don't mind coming up to your camera for a close up shot. At one point I had three in my hand. Swimming here is great. The only think I'd watch out for are the occasional jellyfish, of which I've only seen two, and they seemed to be closer to the open water than inside the bay. The bar on the beach is a nice place to stop and unwind. They serve drinks and small tapas.

Great place for birds insects and plants. Hundreds of lizards. Plenty of walking with nature, or alternatively for lounging in peace at a turquoise bay. We went by boat and stayed for several hours. Afterwards we stopped at the blue caves to swim in the sea which was quite an experience! There are some other visitors with you on the island but numbers are limited so it is never crowded or noisy.

Incredibly beautiful island to take a trip to if you’re in Mallorca. Completely unspoilt landscapes and lovely beaches. We took a trip there with MarCabrera, who brought us to swim in the blue cave at Cabrera, which was the absolute highlight of the trip. A must do if you’re in Mallorca.

We took one of the 8 man RIB rides out from Colonia de Sant Jordi to Cabrera and the whole experience exhilarating, beautiful and interesting. The 20 mile round boat trip was fun - the boat's pilot was very cheerful and engaging and obviously passionate about the archipelago. A recording of the story of the islands was played as we went along, and it was available in German, Spanish, English and Italian. When you reach the main island you can use the loos and there is a small cafe. We walked up to the castle and back - you get about an hour on the island. It is worth listening to the narration on the boat, and what went on on the island in the Napoleonic Wars. It's quite dark! Oh yes, and we saw the blue cave which was incredibly beautiful, and an osprey and a dolphin. I'd highly recommend the trip. We went with Marcabrerea who have an office in Colonia de Sant Jordi.

It's magical ... kayak, swim, hike ... hard to get mooring buoys, particularly for larger boats ... book early!

Is a lovely island and I apreciate that they are trying to keep this island as clean is posible. They have good rules regarding smoking, visiting and places were you can eat. Is a good place for snorkeling as well, but dont expect to find yourself on National Geographic. If you go there definetly visit the Blue Cave, its amazing but swim carefully you might touch jellyfish. Great Experience in a protected island full of history.
