Cabrillo Beach Jetty

This poor beach…. Yes it is dirty… We are all well aware of that. But if you can look past that, this beach can you with total tranquility. Wether you’re walking on the beach, sitting in the car watching the waves or balancing on rocks across the tide pools, you’re able to just…. To just be…. One of my favorite places to go…. Try and catch a sunset. They’re breathtaking

Need to get away and enjoy a few peaceful hours must bring a beach chair and coffee. You can sit on beach ⛱️ 🏖️ or on the pier or do some fishing and catch the beautiful sun 🌞☀️ rise

The pier is one of our favorite destinations for a quick trip to the ocean in San Pedro. The beach on the right side of the pier Is facing the open ocean. The beach on the left side is facing the Marina and port of LA. It’s fun to play in the sand or go surfing. The sand itself is dark; almost black. There are plenty of parking lots. You can find restrooms and grassy areas with picnic table at the entrance to the pier. The restrooms can be a bit gross at times. Parking is $1/hour. Meters accept credit cards. Visitors tend to be nice to each other. I received a non expired parking ticket from someone who left early; twice in 1 month. Thank you kind strangers!

Came here for the first time to go diving. Nice easy beach entry with almost no waves. Visibility was about 15 feet. There is a definite current but it was not to bad. I will be back to dive and explore the area more.

Came out on New Year’s Day and parking was free🙌🏾 the views were beautiful. Big waves, very windy. The park was clean and the parking was plentiful. Definitely will be back

Amazing spot for stargazing and a bit of pier fishing. We got there after sunset on a clear night and saw Venus and Jupiter really clearly and as it got dark, the sky got lit up with stars. Easy parking right at the end where the jetty starts, and there's a long way as the jetty stretches way out. We saw a few people fishing and I could tell there would be good fishing here given how far the jetty goes. Lots of fishing facilities too (fishing pole stands, cleaning stations etc.).

Fun walk with great views. Lots of people fishing.
