Cacao Farm

A beautiful small local farm! The tour is very professional, introducing you to the whole process with hands on experience! The hosts are very friendly and the location is beautiful right by the river. Highly recommended!

Amazing experience! People are super kind and even tho my spanish is not the best, I could understand everything. They explained everything very clearly and was super chatty. I would go back there for sure, the cacao was good and could try it in all the different forms. Cacao mask experience was fun too.

This tour was really great! The guide (the owner) showed us everything, the whole process from start to finish. He is attentive, passionate, and takes you through everything from the fruit to the chocolate. He shows the process, narrates and lets you taste continuously: really a complete experience. He speaks a little English so it's nice if you can/understand Spanish to really get all the details of the process. However, you also see/taste/smell a lot so we would definitely recommend this too if you can't. Then you learn a little less, but it's still a great experience. We can absolutely recommend this tour!

Had a great experience here! Learning about the cacao growing process was so interesting, and the farm was so beautiful. Tour is only in Spanish, but he talked really slowly and patiently with me when I didn’t understand something. Super hands on and interesting — one of my favorite experiences in the area! Plus, delicious chocolate!

What a treat! Went there on a rainy day and they were the most accommodating hosts! The guided tour is informative and entertaining, the tasting is brilliant! If you're in the area, you absolutely have to go there! It's a bit off the beaten track, but just around the corner you will find good accommodation in a biosphere reservation that is actually worthwhile! Enjoy!

Great tour with excellent educational information on cacao making, beautiful surroundings with cacao trees, very welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Tasted pure chocolate and delicious hot coco and received a facial with cacao paste our time spent there was memorable

Best chocolate tour I've ever done! The guide speaks slowly and understandably. All my questions were answered. You can try the cacao in all the different states of processing. It's the place where they offered for the first time chocolate tours. At the end you get a face mask or you buy an additional complete body mask. It's recommended. Your body feels so soft afterwards. Everything is natural and from the first hand. To wash the cacao up, you jump into the river next too. It's a great experience! Also don't miss buying some 100% and 80% chocolate, cacao nibs, lip balsam out of cacao oil, cacao perfect (you will hear I'm.the tour what is behind it) and artesanal products. Bring enough cash!!!

Guys if you are in the area you must visit this cacao farm! It's one of the best experiences we've had on our trip. It was very informative and interesting, and we ate and drank so much delicious chocolate and even had an incredible face mask. It's such great value too, a must visit. Thanks so much.
