Cactus Kangaroo Island

We went here as soon as we arrived in Kingscote, and I was thrilled because I had been craving a carrot cake with cream cheese icing, and it was 10/10! My husband has a pistachio cheesecake, which was also delicious.

We had a vegan breakfast and full breakfast with halloumi instead of bacon. Fantastic. 10/10. The Dukkah and spicey tomato sauce were excellent and the eggs were cooked to perfection. oh and the crispy hash brown, YUM!!

Cactus Kangaroo Island – A Must-Try Spot! Cactus Kangaroo Island is a fantastic place for great food and drinks. The dumplings were absolutely amazing—being Nepali, I appreciated them even more, but my French friends loved them too! We also tried four different types of Kangaroo Island beer, which were definitely worth it. The food was delicious, and the staff were friendly, making the whole experience even better. Highly recommend stopping by!

Some places like to take advantage of tourists and charge ridiculous prices for not great food. Not this place. Prices are fair for the quality of food you're getting. The big breakfast was exceptional. The iced drinks were refreshing. Definitely a must to have a meal here when visiting Kingscote.

We had a rather disappointing and expensive meal of crumbed Snapper and chips. The fish was dry, rubbery and overcooked. We love Snapper, but this tasted old and possibly frozen. The waitress asked us about our meal and we were honest and said it was the worst fish we have ever had, she said that Snapper is a strong fish (which it isn’t if fresh), and offered us a free drink, which we politely declined. Sad as KI has such a strong reputation for fresh and beautiful seafood.

Outstanding. First class in every way. Sublime coffee and delicious food, all beautifully presented and served with wonderful, old fashioned customer service. Nice indoor seating area, and outside for a warmer day. Would be very hard to find a better place. Highly recommend...oh nearly forgot the cakes...they look amazing. We have a couple for morning tea later this morning. Am sure they will taste as good as they look.

Visiting from Sydney and had the best granola bowl I've ever had. So yummy! The coffee is also fantastic. Highly recommend coming here.

The best Açai and Porridge bowls! They were amazing and full of goodness. The tea and coffee great as well. We definitely recommend this cafe for breakfast!
