The perfect place to stay. We stayed for one night then returned for another three. It’s a straightforward drive to/from the airport and is centrally located so you have easy access to all that Cape Town has to offer. |The building and parking area is very secure. Everything was very clean and well kept. The beds are very comfortable and there is lounge and two outdoor seating areas where you can relax when not out and about.||On our second visit we stayed in the two room premium suite. The private lounge area and bedroom are both very spacious and we had our own balcony where we sat for our evening drink. If you are in Cape Town for a few days I highly recommend the suite.||Dorian and the staff are very friendly and approachable. The breakfast was delicious and there is an Italian restaurant within a safe walking distance from the lodge. It’s worth asking Dorian about the restaurant and make a booking as it is very popular.|If we return to Cape Town, we will definitely be back :)

The perfect stay in Cape Town and so good that we came back. We stayed one night at Cactusberry and then returned later for another three nights. It’s a very straightforward drive to/from the airport and the central location means easy access to the sights of Cape Town (Table mountain is right above you). The parking area and building is very secure and features a comfortable lounge and outdoor area to relax in when you’re not out and about. Dorian and the staff are really helpful and friendly, always on hand to answer questions and give local suggestions. For our three night stay we were in the two room premium suite. Wow! Both the lounge and bedroom were very spacious and comfortable and we enjoyed having an evening drink on the private balcony. If you’re staying for a few days, I highly recommend this suite. There is a great Italian restaurant within a safe walking distance from the lodge. It’s popular and busy so ask Dorian for the details if you like to plan things out :) I didn’t take pictures but the photos on booking.com are accurate. Thanks for the stay. If we are back in Cape Town you will definitely see us again.

The location is perfect for exploring the city, making it an ideal choice for tourists. The manager, Dorian, went above and beyond to help us plan our activities, ensuring we felt truly cared for throughout our stay. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, adding to the overall comfort and enjoyment of our visit. Highly recommended!"

This is by far the nicest host that i have ever met.. rooms are very clean. You are in a super safe neighbourhood with a 10 min walk away from parks the city centre and the very popular Kloof Street.

After booking this stay I had emails from Barbara about our arrival long before we came. We had a late flight into Cape Town and wouldn't arrive until 10pm. Barbara arranged to be there to greet us and made us very welcome. She showed us how the gates worked and gave us a quick tour of the house before we all retired for bed. The room was very comfortable and clean. The air con very efficient. Breakfast was outside on the terrace and excellent. I had informed Barbara that my husband was coeliac and she had found some excellent gluten free for him. The breakfast was cooked to order and very good. Barbara was extremely helpful in helping us plan our days, advising us where to catch the bus and what to see. I would definitely go back. Thank you for a wonderful few days. I highly recommend Cactusberry Lodge.

Small lodge near downtown. Rather small rooms, nice breakfast. Barbara is very helpful with recommendations for the city. Unfortunately, due to safety concerns one cannot leave the small rooms on foot and there is not much to do in the lodge.

You can't go wrong with a stay at Cactusberry Lodge. It is centrally located in Cape Town with easy access to buses and to highways for driving. Since it's central, taxi fare home from the waterfront wasn't even very expensive. There are nice restaurants within easy walking distance. Barbara will take the time to go over your daily plans and map out a route for you. The whole place is beautifully decorated with art. Our room was spacious and there are lovely sitting areas outside on a patio and inside. Breakfast was great -- the only problem with it was trying not to gain weight. Next to "hospitality" in the dictionary there should be a picture of Cactusberry!
