An incredibly good restaurant serving authentic Slovenian cuisine — honestly, one of the best dining experiences we had in Ljubljana. The food was fantastic — fresh, flavorful, and simply delicious. I especially loved that they serve traditional local dishes prepared with real care and quality. It’s exactly what I wanted to experience in Slovenia, and it exceeded my expectations completely. The staff were super friendly, attentive, and gave great recommendations. We were there with a large group from Germany, and it wasn’t a problem at all — everything was handled quickly, smoothly, and with impressive professionalism. The atmosphere is another highlight: the restaurant is surrounded by trees and nature, giving it a cozy, almost luxurious countryside feel. Plenty of free parking right on site, easy to access. In short: excellent food, great service, and a beautiful setting. If I ever come back to Ljubljana, Čad will definitely be my first stop. Highly recommended!

Very delicious food! Gluten free options. Just ask a waiter what is without gluten… They keep in mind everything about cross contamination :) Good place to try some balkan food.

Classic. Greenest garden restaurant in town. Most pristine Balkan food in the capital of Slovenia. It's been around for over 100 years, and it shows. Impeccable service, awesome delicious food and relaxed ambiance. You can't go wrong here.

Restaurant review: wonderful location for English speaking visitors who want to taste some local dishes. The meat was tasty and plentiful, the staff were very friendly. Only slight issue was the guys playing the guitar were very loud and noisy which made speaking hard but it is a local thing

It was good, but nothing particularly impressive. It seems to be a very popular spot in Ljubljana, as it was packed. The outer seating area was extremely loud and a bit stressful, but it was better further inside. The food was good, and the service was so-so — not the friendliest or warmest staff, but it was okay.

Excellent location, traditional food/no complaints. Waiters unfriendly; admittedly, Čad is working round-the-clock, but the staff in the open gatden could and should be more friendly to the guests.
