The natural beauty you can experience at Caddisfly Resort is stunning. You are in a clean, comfortable and spacious cabin right on the McKensie River. The sounds of the river will lull you to sleep and reward you with the visual beauty in the morning. It is close to many lakes and several activities. Dick and Doris are tremendous, gracious hosts. Great for families or trips with friends, long weekends, and sporting outings. You will want to return!!

My family has been coming to the Caddisfly for years. Serene beauty in a peaceful atmosphere. Updated: This year might be our last year coming. Our cabin had plumbing issues when we got here and then after a few days my sister's family cabin had plumbing issues which the owner's son blamed on them. It was like pulling teeth to toilet paper. Accused just one cabin of using using 18 rolls of toilet paper when between the two cabins we have gotten may 12 in the week we have been here with 8 people. The owner's son just laid blqme and wasn't willing to hear anyone explain why he was wrong or what was happening.

We happened upon the Caddisfly after a hectic day of travel, Robert greeted us with a smile and could not have been more hospitable. The cabin was clean, cozy, and had immaculate views of the river. Highly recommend.

We recently stayed at Cabin #2 for two nights and here's what I think you should know: -There is a bathroom inside this cabin (shower, sink, toilet), and towels are included. For some reason I couldn't find this info beforehand -The main bedroom is located right across the hall from the bathroom. I can't remember the size of the bed, but it's either a full of queen, and it's fairly comfortable -The cabin has decent storage, with large closets in the main bedroom and a couple of nooks elsewhere. -Its nice how well stocked the kitchen is with cookware and silverware. Note there is no iron skillet -There are TWO fridges in the kitchen. One small and one tall & skinny. That thing that looks like a dishwasher in the pics? Actually a fridge. -Upstairs is where there is multiple smaller (twin) beds. Take note that the floors creak BAD. Whoever sleeps in the main bedroom is going to get an earful of creaky sounds. -Of course the deck and the view is lovely. -HOWEVER, the other cabins are very close together, and the river space directly in front of all 3 cabins is shared by all, meaning you'll see your neighbors if they're out there, and there's no curtains -This also means that if you have a dog that is going to flip everytime they see someone outside, you may get pretty annoyed -Another thing to keep in mind about your dogs is that, sadly, there isn't a space nearby or on the property to run them off leash. You may have to walk them down the highway awhile to tire your pups out -Once inside your cabin and with window closed, you shouldn't hear your neighbors -More good news is that walking to the Station and McKenzie Bridge store is quick and convenient Overall the four of us really enjoyed our stay here. We played board games and drank a lot of wine. I do wish there was more space on the property, however. When you book a stay at a cabin, you kind of crave lots of outdoor space, and the Caddisfly fails on this front. My 2 cents and all. Enjoy!

Beautiful cabins right on the river. Enjoy a meal, adult beverages and live music walking distance away. Lots of options nearby for hiking, fishing, floating the McKenzie, viewing waterfalls, soaking in a hot spring pool and much more!

We absolutely needed to get out of town, away from our chaotic jobs. Rented cabin #3 & we didn't want to leave. It's not fancy, it's not plush. It's quiet & calm inside; reminded me so much of my grandparent's cabin in Minnesota. The owners are a lovely couple who couldn't have been nicer. We went on a rainy hike & returned to our little cabin ready to hang out. Small kitchen, but well-appointed. Fireplace is controlled by a remote, and we basically had it on all evening. Perfect for us. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

I thoroughly enjoyed my weekend getaway in cabin #3. I checked in with Robert and he had my cabin unlocked with the gas fireplace turned on. When you walk in the front door you can see straight through the sliding glass door to the river, the view is amazing. ||The cabin was very clean and well stocked with basic utensils, dinnerware and cookware. The bed was comfy if a little soft. The sound of the river lulls you to sleep. ||||The only thing that was disappointing was the uncomfortable furniture. If you are spending your day hiking or skiing or rafting the furniture doesn't matter much but I came here to relax and do some writing and there was not a comfortable chair to sit in. The sofa was a fold out futon and there was an old wicker chair and a wooden rocking chair. See attached photo. It would be nice if there was at least one comfy chair and perhaps a footstool or two.||||I made do and I would definitely return. ||Overall my visit was enjoyable and relaxing.

We just got back from A stay At Caddis fly resort..And we were all impressed. The Cabins were clean ,had everything you needed for cooking and the view was Amazing. The owners were so accommodating and so very friendly. We were there with our family and we have decided to make this our yearly destination for our Family golf tournament. If you are looking for a great Place to stay on the McKenzie River this is it.

Yelp
The Caddisfly has been our favorite spot in McKenzie Bridge for years and years! The owners Dick and Doris and Caretaker Robert are so very friendly and sincerely good people. The word "comforting" is the overarching term to describe this place. We love to arrive and are sad and depressed when we have to leave. I would say the biggest plus is the fact that you can sit at water level of the McKenzie River and even wade in at the beach area. I don't know of any other area that offers that. The cabins are steps from the river and back decks provide the perfect spot for morning coffee, (that we get from the McKenzie Bridge General Store right next door) afternoon reading and evening happy hour! We are disappointed we won't be able to visit this year due to the COVID-19 but can't wait for 2021!

Yelp
Very quaint cabins. Owners are great. Perfect place to roll out of bed and fish until you can't fish anymore. Near Tokatee Golf Course. Near small grocery store. Not the ritz but a great place to stay when you want to get away from it all and go back to basics.

Yelp
Amazing place to stay - very clean, great staff, beautiful views of the river, and very reasonable. We still talk about our stay and remember it fondly. Robert is wonderful (and we loved meeting his Alaskan dog). The owners were away when we stayed but I can only imagine how great they are. These guys are very trusting, helpful and do everything they can to make your stay extremely comfortable.

Yelp
Great experience! Lovely setting right on the river, large deck, wood-burning fireplace, and very affordable. Richard, the manager, was very kind and helpful and has the cutest dog! A couple of small markets and a breakfast place right across the street, or a kitchen to do your own cooking. A very relaxing time!
