We recently stayed at Cabin #2 for two nights and here's what I think you should know:
-There is a bathroom inside this cabin (shower, sink, toilet), and towels are included. For some reason I couldn't find this info beforehand
-The main bedroom is located right across the hall from the bathroom. I can't remember the size of the bed, but it's either a full of queen, and it's fairly comfortable
-The cabin has decent storage, with large closets in the main bedroom and a couple of nooks elsewhere.
-Its nice how well stocked the kitchen is with cookware and silverware. Note there is no iron skillet
-There are TWO fridges in the kitchen. One small and one tall & skinny. That thing that looks like a dishwasher in the pics? Actually a fridge.
-Upstairs is where there is multiple smaller (twin) beds. Take note that the floors creak BAD. Whoever sleeps in the main bedroom is going to get an earful of creaky sounds.
-Of course the deck and the view is lovely.
-HOWEVER, the other cabins are very close together, and the river space directly in front of all 3 cabins is shared by all, meaning you'll see your neighbors if they're out there, and there's no curtains
-This also means that if you have a dog that is going to flip everytime they see someone outside, you may get pretty annoyed
-Another thing to keep in mind about your dogs is that, sadly, there isn't a space nearby or on the property to run them off leash. You may have to walk them down the highway awhile to tire your pups out
-Once inside your cabin and with window closed, you shouldn't hear your neighbors
-More good news is that walking to the Station and McKenzie Bridge store is quick and convenient
Overall the four of us really enjoyed our stay here. We played board games and drank a lot of wine. I do wish there was more space on the property, however. When you book a stay at a cabin, you kind of crave lots of outdoor space, and the Caddisfly fails on this front.
My 2 cents and all. Enjoy!
