Andros Island in the Bahamas Has Luxury Hotels, Fresh Seafood, and the Largest Concentration of Blue Holes in the World

"Beachfront and remote on South Andros, I found Caerula Mar Club to offer 18 warm-toned rooms and four villas, two casual on-site eateries (Driff’s Beach Bar and Switcha) plus Lusca, a Caribbean-inspired fine-dining restaurant; envisioned by HGTV’s Bryan and Sarah Baeumler, the property is presented as relaxed, 'barefoot luxury.'" - Kristin Braswell Kristin Braswell Kristin Braswell is a travel journalist and the founder of CrushGlobal Travel. Caerula Mar Club (Driggs Hill, South Andros Island) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"South Andros is less traveled than some other Bahamian islands; it’s no wonder Caerula Mar Club drew some attention when it opened in 2020, as it was the first new opening on the island in decades. And there’s no question that the property’s present-day iteration is stylish — clean lines, earthy hues, bright white umbrellas around a sparking aquamarine pool with sweeping views of the Caribbean just beyond." - Tablet Hotels

So special!|The new culinary team did a great job! While the food was always amazing, I think you upped your game with this team. |I can’t say enough good things about this special place! It is a great destination to relax and decompress. ||Tom and Lisa Neal

I cannot recommend Caerula Mar Club enough. The entire experience, even before arriving on the island, was exceptional. The staff is friendly, and attentive, but not overbearing, making you feel welcome and part of the family. A few staff members I want to mention by name are Jasmine, Hamilton, Suzanne, and LaDawn, who made our stay even more enjoyable.||My niece and I share a birthday (it was her 40th), and since we had just lost my mom, we decided to celebrate together and make new memories. On our birthday, we each received a birthday brownie adorned with "Happy Birthday" in chocolate and a candle. Everyone sang to us, and Sarah took the time to talk with us and wish us both a happy birthday.||I work in international development, so experiencing the local culture on the island was important to both my niece and me. Jasmine arranged an island tour for us with Shirley, a local resident. Coincidentally, Shirley's birthday is also on June 6th. She showed us around and shared insights about growing up on South Andros Island and how it has changed over the years.||We weren't in search of numerous activities, but the resort does offer a wide range of water sports. Instead, we opted for an early morning yoga session with a view of the beach, followed by a relaxing massage at the beautiful spa. We rode bikes to the Rusty Barge, shopped at the boutique, walked along the beach, swam in the pool, and simply enjoyed the beauty, tranquility, and peace of our surroundings.||Lastly, the food was amazing—kudos to the chef! If it weren't for all the beach walks, I would have gained quite a bit of weight by the time I left.

We had a perfect stay and wished we could stay longer. I’ve never stayed on a beach that felt like it was my own. I think we saw one boat in front of the hotel in our 5 days - just uninterrupted gorgeous views. Can’t beat that! |The hotel property, amenities and beach were fabulous. The room was very nice although it was a little tough to fit two suitcases in our room but great storage space if you want to unpack. We did two excursions - the blue hole tour and snorkeling. Make sure to wear good sneakers for the blue hole tour but it is a beautiful way to see the island and blue holes. Snorkeling was incredible and the boat ride alone over that gorgeous water is worth it. They provided the gear and wetsuits for snorkeling. We enjoyed the food options for all meals - very delicious! You may want to bring along some snacks to enjoy poolside. Highly highly recommend!

WOWOWOW!! Caerula Mar Club is an absolute gem—magical, breathtaking, and deeply relaxing. We traveled with a group of 12 to celebrate three milestone birthdays, and every moment felt like a dream come true.||From sea-viewing spa treatments to a thrilling bonefish adventure and a scenic blue hole hike, we filled our days with a perfect mix of wellness, exploration, and joy. The Caribbean Sea was our playground, and we soaked in every moment.||Chef Peter Caruso and the phenomenal staff made each meal unforgettable. Their warmth and attention made us feel like family. The food was out of this world—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Don’t miss the homemade piña colada—crafted from scratch with love—and the coffee bar serving fresh-pressed juices and smoothies made from local fruits and veggies.||Our rooms were a sanctuary. The beds? Heaven. Every detail spoke to comfort, care, and quality. Evenings were spent connecting over delicious dinners, meeting other wonderful guests, and simply basking in the island's peaceful vibe.||Pro tips: Pack plenty of reef-safe sunscreen, bug spray and a hat. You’ll want to spend most of your time outdoors soaking up this paradise.||Caerula Mar isn’t just a resort—it’s a five-star sanctuary where wellness, connection, and celebration intertwine. I highly, recommend it to mark a special occasion—or simply escape the noise and reconnect with themselves

The food was unbelievable. I simply could not get over how amazing it was given the remote private location. The lamb I had was as good as any in my life.

A beautiful, windswept small (and the better for it) resort - stunning location and very laid-back ambiance. We hadn’t heard of the TV show before we arrived so had no preconceptions but the resort is totally lacking in pretentions, just the scene for a good honest relaxing holiday.||Situated on a beautiful long sandy coast with no other buildings around, just the huge great expanse of ocean - the setting really is paradise and the landscaping and layout is very well executed.||The aesthetic on the most part is very well done although it’s as if the dining room has been forgotten, apart from the bar area it is a somewhat soulless space which is a shame as most meals are taken here. ||The main block of clubhouse rooms feels somewhat utilitarian from the outside but the rooms are nice and beds extremely comfortable. It also seemed as if the bathrooms had been forgotten in the design process, unimaginative and lacking in detail - one inadequate towel rail for example and nowhere at all to hang a hand towel. The villas, particularly those on the oceanfront are absolutely stunning and beautifully executed - I don’t think you could wake up to a better view!||Breakfast is fantastic, great selection and beautifully served by the very friendly and gracious Christine. Lunch also great at the pool bar, very friendly staff there also. Dinner got better and better during our stay, I think some people might find the short menu limiting but we felt it reflected the nature of the resort.||There is a nice amount of distractions - pickleball, snorkelling, kayaks etc plus a few excursions organized by a friendly team.||All in all a very nice stay and we hope to return!

My husband and I visited Caerula Mar for a four night stay. We throughly enjoyed our visit. The staff were phenomenal! They were on every detail with a smile. Our room was 104 overlooking the pool and ocean which was really nice so we could relax and enjoy our breakfast and book each day. On our private terrace. The food was really good. We used the coffee bar in the morning which was really easy and tasty and had lunch off the bar menu every day. The lunch menu was great. The dinner menu was small but delicious. This is a perfect place for a real get away. It was easy to get to but we felt so off grid and I mean that is the best way possible!

Great stay in what is an amazing and classy property. The staff were superb and the service was faultless. ||The food was great - perhaps a little pricey (but The Bahamas is fairly expensive on the food front). ||In addition to paid for excursions the property also offers a number of free activities - cycling, pickleball, kayaking, paddle boarding etc. ||Overall an amazing and relaxing trip.
