Caerula Mar Club

Love Andros but found this extremely overpriced. The reception staff were rude and concierge/support not great at all. Rooms are very small and noisy. Food was good and it was great to explore the beaches. However, in all honesty, this can be done at other places and probably at a fraction of the cost. Sadly wouldn’t go back.

Lisa and I were greeted by Sarah and the wonderful resort team, last Sunday at CaerulaMar.|What a special way to be welcomed home!|This is our 3rd trip to the resort. A 4th was booked before we left on Thursday. It will be an annual event!|Sarah and Bryan fulfilled a perfect vision in CaerulaMar, it’s like coming home, everyone treated us like family. So special!|The new culinary team did a great job! While the food was always amazing, I think you upped your game with this team. |I can’t say enough good things about this special place! My partner and I stayed 5 nights at Caerula Mar Club. I don’t usually write reviews, but I rely on them when booking travel, so I wanted to share an honest take. Overall I’d say this is a 3.5/5, but since TripAdvisor doesn’t do half stars, I’m rounding up to 4/5. What we loved: Stunning, remote setting — truly feels like you’re far away from everything (this is both a pro and a con). We were upgraded to a beachfront room, which was a huge positive (and honestly saved the trip given the weather). Room quality was excellent: deluxe linens, high-end furnishings, beautiful view. Food was mostly delicious, and the coffee/pastry bar is excellent. Staff was wonderful overall — friendly, down to earth, and genuinely helpful (with one exception: one bartender one night seemed completely uninterested). Cocktails were inconsistent — one night they were great, another night nearly undrinkable depending on who made them. Things to know before you go: This is very remote, and there’s not much to do on the island unless you’re an avid bonefisherman. You’re essentially stuck eating and drinking at the resort. Staff mentioned two off-site options; we tried them and they were tiny shacks, and one was never open when we went. Food and drinks are very expensive (example: $24 cocktails; dinner was $75/person for 2 courses or $95/person if you want dessert). There are no coffee makers in the room. There’s complimentary drip coffee 6:00–9:00am, but if you’re a late riser, you’ll be buying coffee. For the price point, in-room coffee would be a nice touch. The resort has paddleboards, kayaks, and Hobie Cats available, but we had terrible weather (wind + rain) for about 3.5 of our 4.5 full days, so we couldn’t use any of it. Thank goodness for the beachfront view. They did offer a couple of activities (a coconut-themed bar event and a mocktail class), which was appreciated — but we only found out because we got a call 10 minutes before each one was starting. An activity calendar posted daily would help a lot. Complimentary yoga is offered, but it starts at 7:30am (easy to miss if you’re not an early riser). The biggest issue: THE BUGS The no-see-ums were brutal. We didn’t realize what we were dealing with until after night two, when we were covered in bites (and I’m someone who usually doesn’t get bitten). The bites itch and burn and lasted well over a week — I’m home now and they’re still bothering me. The resort sells a “natural” bug spray, but it did not work for us. Bring DEET. I feel like the resort totally downplays how brutal these things are. One more note on activities: On our last day we took the bikes and found a blue hole on our own — plus a trail that led to three more (one of the best parts of the trip). We only found it by asking for a map and exploring. I wish the resort shared more “DIY” options proactively, since they also offer a guided blue hole tour for $75/person. Final thoughts: There’s a lot to love here — the setting, rooms, staff, and (mostly) food — but between the bugs, the limited off-site options, and the high costs, I probably wouldn’t return. If you want to fully unplug, relax, fish, and you get great weather (and come armed with bug spray), it could be a great fit.

I cannot recommend Caerula Mar Club enough. The entire experience, even before arriving on the island, was exceptional. The staff is friendly, and attentive, but not overbearing, making you feel welcome and part of the family. A few staff members I want to mention by name are Jasmine, Hamilton, Suzanne, and LaDawn, who made our stay even more enjoyable.||My niece and I share a birthday (it was her 40th), and since we had just lost my mom, we decided to celebrate together and make new memories. On our birthday, we each received a birthday brownie adorned with "Happy Birthday" in chocolate and a candle. Everyone sang to us, and Sarah took the time to talk with us and wish us both a happy birthday.||I work in international development, so experiencing the local culture on the island was important to both my niece and me. Jasmine arranged an island tour for us with Shirley, a local resident. Coincidentally, Shirley's birthday is also on June 6th. She showed us around and shared insights about growing up on South Andros Island and how it has changed over the years.||We weren't in search of numerous activities, but the resort does offer a wide range of water sports. Instead, we opted for an early morning yoga session with a view of the beach, followed by a relaxing massage at the beautiful spa. We rode bikes to the Rusty Barge, shopped at the boutique, walked along the beach, swam in the pool, and simply enjoyed the beauty, tranquility, and peace of our surroundings.||Lastly, the food was amazing—kudos to the chef! If it weren't for all the beach walks, I would have gained quite a bit of weight by the time I left.

We had a perfect stay and wished we could stay longer. I’ve never stayed on a beach that felt like it was my own. I think we saw one boat in front of the hotel in our 5 days - just uninterrupted gorgeous views. Can’t beat that! |The hotel property, amenities and beach were fabulous. The room was very nice although it was a little tough to fit two suitcases in our room but great storage space if you want to unpack. We did two excursions - the blue hole tour and snorkeling. Make sure to wear good sneakers for the blue hole tour but it is a beautiful way to see the island and blue holes. Snorkeling was incredible and the boat ride alone over that gorgeous water is worth it. They provided the gear and wetsuits for snorkeling. We enjoyed the food options for all meals - very delicious! You may want to bring along some snacks to enjoy poolside. Highly highly recommend!

WOWOWOW!! Caerula Mar Club is an absolute gem—magical, breathtaking, and deeply relaxing. We traveled with a group of 12 to celebrate three milestone birthdays, and every moment felt like a dream come true.||From sea-viewing spa treatments to a thrilling bonefish adventure and a scenic blue hole hike, we filled our days with a perfect mix of wellness, exploration, and joy. The Caribbean Sea was our playground, and we soaked in every moment.||Chef Peter Caruso and the phenomenal staff made each meal unforgettable. Their warmth and attention made us feel like family. The food was out of this world—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Don’t miss the homemade piña colada—crafted from scratch with love—and the coffee bar serving fresh-pressed juices and smoothies made from local fruits and veggies.||Our rooms were a sanctuary. The beds? Heaven. Every detail spoke to comfort, care, and quality. Evenings were spent connecting over delicious dinners, meeting other wonderful guests, and simply basking in the island's peaceful vibe.||Pro tips: Pack plenty of reef-safe sunscreen, bug spray and a hat. You’ll want to spend most of your time outdoors soaking up this paradise.||Caerula Mar isn’t just a resort—it’s a five-star sanctuary where wellness, connection, and celebration intertwine. I highly, recommend it to mark a special occasion—or simply escape the noise and reconnect with themselves

My husband and I visited Caerula Mar for a four night stay. We throughly enjoyed our visit. The staff were phenomenal! They were on every detail with a smile. Our room was 104 overlooking the pool and ocean which was really nice so we could relax and enjoy our breakfast and book each day. On our private terrace. The food was really good. We used the coffee bar in the morning which was really easy and tasty and had lunch off the bar menu every day. The lunch menu was great. The dinner menu was small but delicious. This is a perfect place for a real get away. It was easy to get to but we felt so off grid and I mean that is the best way possible!

Second visit in as many years and I can't disquinsh which was the better of the two. They were both great. Excellent staff not to mention the great food that was served. My compliments to the kitchen staff. Got to meet Yellow the painter and even took pics with him and he didn't mind. They tell me that he is a such big celebrity at Caerula. Chuck the maintenance man handled a minor problem in our room with a quick response. And I can't forget all the dining room staff who help me getting in and out of the dining room through the doors as I managed to push my wife in her wheelchair. And I cant forget to mention Hamilton as he went out of his way to help me with my wife. Every time that she saw him she would say " there's |my friend" They say third time is a charm and we will find out Oct 2025. And to Margaret, I hope you received the door keys that I mistakenly took home and sent back. As a former police officer I am not a criminal, I only arrested them. LOL
