What I really appreciate about this restaurant is that they are open 24/7, but that's probably about it. There are no other restaurants open very late around the casino, so you'd have no other choice but Cafe Central for your midnight meals.
I ordered the Crispy Chicken Over Fried Rice to-go around 11 PM, and it took forever to be ready. I was told that it would be about a 10-15 minute wait; however, I waited around, continually asking the staff for my order for nearly an hour. At that point, I could have just slept my hunger away. The reason for the delay was due to the shift changes. I believe at a certain time of the night, many staff are leaving and others will start their shift, thus a lot of confusion and loss of orders happened during that shift change. It was not only me experiencing the prolonged delay, as many others were also patiently waiting for their food.
When I received my food, it was already cold. It was, in fact, ready after 10-15 minutes, but because orders and receipts were lost within their internal process during the shift change, my food just stayed on their back counter. The portion was very small in proportion to the price I paid. It was very tasty; however, because it was cold, the crispiness of the chicken was gone.
Hopefully, management will be able to resolve the issues that occur during major shift changes. I feel bad for the staff who were scurrying to get the orders right. I just believe that they do not have a proper and efficient way of handling the shift changes.
