Great little restaurant! The food was absolutely amazing! Service was top notch also.

This place is awesome. Amazing food, friendly staff and nice welcoming atmosphere. I look forward to trying every dish on the menu. It is a refreshing to find healthier options at a restaurant. Pictured the Baja Chicken Omelet and Homemade hash breakfast. They served the toast with homemade strawberry jam 😋 I only wish they were open later. Being farmers we often don't get finished until later in the day and miss out on having lunch or early supper here.

BEST FOOD IN TOWN! This place is better than House of Flavors. Many more unique dishes to choose from, breakfast knocks it out of the park. The Mexican Scramble breakfast dish was phenomenal along with the banana foster French toast, Brad’s Skillet and meat & cheese omelet. WE WILL BE BACK!

Google
Great breakfast Cafe. We had classic Eggs Benedict and Eggs Benedict Chorizo. We will be back!

Had a party of 6 for breakfast. 35 minute wait was fine. Seated us at 2 4-top tables. We tried to push them together but the manager came out and told us it was against the fire code to do so. Two of our party had just gotten seated when a round 6 person table became available. We requested to move so we could sit together. We were told since we were already seated, they couldn’t move us. The server got the manager who came out and yelled at us for being disrespectful. It was ridiculous. I did feel sorry for the server because it’s not her fault they have stupid policies. But the manager was over the top rude. Will never go back and will tell all my friends to avoid it like the plague.

This spot is great! The atmosphere is quaint and intimate. Seating options both inside and outside and a breakfast menu that meets everyone's wants. Ordered the Corned beef and eggs meal, which was amazing and my wife ordered the country benedict which the homemade biscuits added another level to the dish. Our food came out very quick, even with the restaurant being a tad busy, which is testament to the cooks. Our server Kaitlyn was amazing, she was super nice and fun to talk to. I definitely recommend this place.

Google
Stopped at this little hole in the wall while visiting from Detroit...super old-fashioned and quaint. Gotta say this omelet was THE BEST OMELET I've ever had, and that's saying something since there's a coney/diner on every corner in the D. Exceptional bacon. I'll be back!

We were pleasantly surprised with this place, first time we had eaten here and we go to Ludington quite a bit. The prices were a tad high for what I was hoping for, but we really enjoyed our food. When I first got my sandwich my thought was "a little stingy on the chips" but the taste of the sandwich made up for it, and frankly, my gut tells me I don't really need that many chips. All in all a good experience. I'd like to come back here and try the breakfast!

Yelp
Café 106 is an absolute gem. It exudes home cooked vibes. Even on the 4th of July, parking was no problem as there's a lot out back plus plenty of street parking. We brought our dog and were thrilled to find their outdoor seating is pup-friendly. The staff was so friendly and service was fast. Like, impressively fast. Now let's talk food: the coffee was great, and the orange juice was super fresh. I had Janet's Stuffed Hashbrowns loaded with sour cream and cheese, served with rye toast and the most delightful strawberry jam. The scrambled eggs? Cooked perfectly fluffy. I also tried the cinnamon roll pancake which are incredible. The cream cheese frosting was to die for, and the crispy, sugary outer layer gave them the best texture. Affordable prices, dog-friendly patio, delicious food, and speedy, kind service--this place easily earns a rare 5/5 from me. I'll definitely be dreaming about coming back!

Yelp
A cozy space with lots of Americana on the walls. Was full when we got there late on a Sunday morning, but we had to wait all of two minutes for a table. Server showed up quickly once we were seated to take our order. After taking it to the kitchen she returned with a coffeepot to keep on our table so we could tend to our refills. With us as customers, that saved her a lot of running. And coffee was good, a bit above average for diner brew. My wife got a basic egg-potato-toast breakfast, which she was happy with, especially since the hash browns came extra crispy as ordered. I opted for "Brad's Skillet", a bowl of hashbrowns mixed with ham, bacon, sausage and cheese w/ two eggs on top. While waiting for it I wondered if it had been such a good idea to order what amounts to a fat bowl, but when it arrived I saw it was actually kind of light on the meats, which made me feel both relieved and disappointed. It was satisfying and didn't need any more animal product in it. Both our breakfasts came with strawberry jam that tasted homemade. I didn't see a notice on the menu that it was, but it tasted for all the world like the kind my mother used to make. With some offbeat (some might say hipster) menu items, Cafe 106 can satisfy a taste for something novel or for some of the old diner standbys.

Yelp
We went on a Sunday morning, we did have a 25 minute wait for a party of 5, which we expected. The café had a steady stream of people coming in. The food was great and the setting was family friendly.

Yelp
Great food hot and ready fast for a group of six. Thank you Kaylen for wonderful service. Nice relaxing place for breakfast.

Yelp
For sure, get here early if you want to eat breakfast without a wait. We got here about five minutes after it opened on a weekend, and within 15 minutes, all of the tables were taken. This seems to be a popular place for breakfast. They were short staffed when we visited, but despite that, we still got great service, and our food came out quickly after we ordered. One of our meals got messed up a bit -- my child's buttermilk pancakes came out with chocolate chips on them -- but they were apologetic for the mistake and took it off our bill. My child, whose meal they "messed up," could care less that his pancakes has chocolate chips in them, and in fact considered it a sign that it was his lucky day. The chocolate chip pancakes were huge and spongy and sweet, and they tasted delicious. As for me, I got a breakfast panini. It's a breakfast sandwich with egg, cheese and meat (I chose bacon). It comes with a side of hash browns. It doesn't look like much when it comes out from the kitchen, but it is very filling, and I could only eat half and took one half back to my hotel. We were a party of six, and we got one of the biggest tables in the restaurant. This is not a restaurant that can seat a huge party -- the inside dining room in pretty small. There are some tables outside, but mostly those seats are two-seaters. The coffee at Cafe 106 is very good! They will pour you a cup, and then leave the carafe at your table so you can refill when you need to. It's great coffee that's not too bitter for black coffee drinkers like me.

Yelp
Cafe 106 has the best food & service! We had a short wait to be seated but that's okay because it's totally worth the wait! The food comes out hot and quick & tastes delicious!! The place is small but it's nice because it feels like home!!

Nancy S.

Yelp
A sweet find for breakfast! Our server was friendly and attentive. Janet's stuffed hash browns were amazing! I recommend adding scrambled eggs. The homemade strawberry jam was delicious. Will definitely visit again.

Yelp
Great food and friendly staff. Brads breakfast is a great goto if you are hungry! Prices are on point.

Yelp
Different day Different eggs Benedict still awesome. Highly recommend cafe 106. Everyone was super friendly like last time and service was quick

Yelp
Breakfast was really good! Wonderful service! We sat outside because we had a dog with us. The wait staff was great either her. I had the Baja Chicken omelette. It came with hash browns and toast, but they willingly substitute a biscuit. All of our food was really hot. The biscuit had been cut in half and grilled and served with strawberry jam. The omelette was filled with chicken, onions, peppers and topped with cheese and avocado. Other orders at the table included Brad's Skillet and an omelette with lots of chorizo in it. Our pup got 2 scrambled eggs and was very pleased.

Yelp
The first thing a person will notice about this restaurant is the fact that they are always busy. From the time they open until the time they close, they have a steady flow of people. This should speak to the level of food this restaurant turns out! The food is always hot and delicious and it is always served efficiently and with a smile. Although the restaurant is a little small and a little outdated, it runs like a well oiled machine! Thank you for being a staple in the Ludington community and for your consistency in turning out quality, home cooked food!

Ferd D.

Yelp
Cozy environment, good food and service. Very prompt and friendly server. Your own little carafe of coffee, nice touch

Yelp
Tiny place with no place to wait. We did end up waiting inside, my flip flops were sticking to the very dirty greasy CARPET!! Furniture scuffed up, looked 20 plus years old! We were thinking to leave but thought we'd give the food a chance. Food was just okay, egg has black on it from a greasy grill. Everything else just okay! Will not go back.

Yelp
Small spot but great food, good service, and their fun cocktails are tasty. Love their Benedict and a Bloody Mary to drink

Sam A.

Yelp
The service was great and very fast. Everyone was very friendly and the food was not only a great price but it was delicious as well. Lots of variety and many options on the menu and a very cozy restaurant. I recommend stopping here.

Yelp
Great service! Suuuuuuper speedy time on getting food right to the table. Will definitely be back soon.

Yelp
Definitely a popular place! Got the cinnamon roll pancakes which were DELICIOUS. Also got a side of hashbrowns and sausage (wasn't on the menu as sides, but just asked). Very friendly staff, food came out quick. Parking on the street and a lot next door. Would recommend (:

Yelp
An excellent place to stop in downtown Ludington for breakfast. Everything that we had was amazing! If you want a sweet breakfast the cinnamon roll pancakes were SO good. My daughter ate every last bite. I really enjoyed the stuffed hashbrown breakfast. It's a small place, we did have to wait about 45 minutes on the 4th of July but it was worth the wait. Also, the service was excellent and very attentive. We will be back next time we are in town!

Melissa M.

Yelp
Amazing service. Incredible, fresh, homemade breakfast. Excellent mimosas. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Café 106 is an absolute gem in Ludington. Whenever we're in town, this is a "must stop" for our family. Food and coffee are always great, always fresh. Exceptional service as well. Highly recommend!

Yelp
The food was amazingly delicious! Our wait person was wonderful and we sat at the counter which was fun. Would definitely recommend to anyone that asks!

Yelp
Party of 5 went in for a late breakfast after fishing. It was a nice morning and we were seated quickly outside after a couple of tables were pulled together. Server was great and engaging. Excellent coffee! There were three omelets ordered, one corned beef hash, and pancakes with sausage pattie. Eggs were cooked perfectly to order. Everything was great except the sausage pattie which was very bland and all fat. Everything else was most excellent. I highly recommend going to Cafe 106 for breakfast or lunch. I would request mgmt to find a different sausage pattie source as both you and your customers are being shorted. Review would have been a solid 5 if not for the sausage pattie.

Yelp
Soooooooo good! Food is always consistently great! Best hollandaise sauce around. Food is always hot and served quickly---a hidden gem in Ludington.

Yelp
Came here late Sunday morning on a holiday weekend with my friend. Initially we were told it would be a 20 minute wait, which was fine as we expected it would be busy in town. Two minutes after getting the confirmation text for the waitlist, I got a text saying our table was ready. (Side note: The waitlist has a link that allows you to see your place in line and how long your party and others have been waiting which is nice for longer waits.) The restaurant is small and tightly packed when it's full of people. We were seated right by the kitchen and bathroom, but the table was large. It was a little difficult to get into the back seat but once seated it was not a problem. We were quickly greeted by our waitress, who took a drink order. I ordered coffee and they brought a small carafe for refills. The coffee was fresh. Once we ordered, our waitress brought us things like syrup, butter, and ketchup before our food arrived, which I appreciated. These both ordered breakfast and have zero regrets. My friend got the Epic Breakfast. Everything was cooked well, but he wished the bacon would have been crispier. The homemade strawberry jam was definitely the highlight of the meal. My friend never eats jam and actually put some on his toast. I ordered the Country Benedict. I loved it but I wish the yolks were a little more runny. Both of our minor food concerns were personal preferences so I don't feel they should be considered in rating of this restaurant. Service was great throughout even though they were busy. From the time we put our name in to the time we left, it was only forty minutes. Overall, Cafe 106 is a worthwhile stop in Ludington. We will definitely be back the next time we're in town. I can't wait to try their lunch options!

Yelp
Nice little downtown cafe for lunch. Decor is from the late 80's and could use some updating. We had a Monte Cristo and a panini with various sides. Service was quick and we were checked on serval times for refills and such.

Liz E.

Yelp
Great service. Awesome food-freshly made and served hot / fast. Clean restaurant including restroom. Great choice of breakfast items-served during all open hours.

Yelp
Small corner cafe was packed & so was outdoor seating but the reviews had us waiting. We loved the ability to leave our number & wander the shops to be texted for our table. Service was fantastic, friendly and we always had what we needed. The food came fast from the cutest serving window. Janet's stuffed hash browns for hubby and he called them great. The grandson is not a critic he said yummy and anything with syrup is ate up. However, us grandparents took bites and can tell you it was flavorful and probably good enough without syrup. I ordered Brad's skillet & made changes to it and had no problems. They serve homemade strawberry jam and it reminds me of my grandma. Please stop by when visiting Ludington you won't be disappointed. And it was less expensive than our visit to another breakfast buffet the previous day. See you next year!!

Yelp

Yelp
Vary charming little Cafe, staffed well If had baked Oatmeal without cinnamon and dried cranberries Vary tastes steel cut Husband ordered Cornbeaf Hash that he didn't care for and they didn't charge for it (Vary nice) Coffee Carafe
google avatar

Kathleen K.

Yelp
My husband and I have eaten here several times over the past year and we have had consistently wonderful food every time. I usually get some variation of eggs Benedict. They really know how to poach an egg! You get plenty to eat and it's served quickly and by very nice staff. They are always staffed appropriately, which is saying something these days. Today I had the turkey, bacon and avocado eggs Benedict. Eggs were cooked perfectly. The avocado was wonderful. Not too ripe or under ripe. It was just right. It was more food than I could finish. My husband's omelet was great, too. And he ate the strawberry jam, which he rarely does (it was that good!). And our server was on top of the drink refills. I love that! It's one block off of the main street going through town. Please give this place a try. You won't be disappointed!
google avatar

Rick R.

Yelp
Great place for a full on breakfast experience. Fast, a little different with a down home feel. Food is fresh and flavorful, even though simplest items were done as they should be. Eggs cooked as requested, protein not dries out from a heat lamp, rather cooked to order. We'll be back!!!
google avatar

Samantha S.

Yelp
The eggs on the Benedict were overcooked (soft boiled) not runny at all. The breakfast burrito was ok and nothing special. This place was ok in a pinch but I wouldn't go out of my way to come here.
google avatar

Cliff L.

Yelp
Great service. We were there during COVID and the place felt safe, and the service was exceptional. Food was good. I had the BLT which was solid. They made a decent cheeseburger for my son. I don't think the food is five star good, but it's great for a breakfast or lunch.
google avatar

Connie M.

Yelp
This is a great hometown restaurant. We had breakfast today and it was wonderful. Great staff and the food came out quickly.
google avatar

Lou P.

Yelp
The best part of Cafe 106 is the service. My wait person was friendly and efficient and very nice. My lunch, on the other hand, was a different story. Eggs over easy were over cooked. The hash browns were under cooked. This may have been the most underwhelming meal of the week. I might give this place another chance, only because my waitperson could not be so cheerful if she was serving consistently grim meals. I'm going to assume someone was having a bad moment.

Tina B.

Yelp
we love the food, the friendliness and the consideration and consistenc! food is always wonderful
google avatar

Scott P.

Yelp
What a gem! Tucked one block off the main drag in Ludington lies this tiny throwback diner with an ambiance that takes me back to the basement kitchen at my church when I was a lad. Old school wallpaper with lots of dark wood enhance the Americana feel of this place! The food was very good. One serving of corned beef hash Benedict joined by one serving of pumpkin pecan pancakes left us stating that "we will definitely be back!" Hot coffee. Cold Diet Coke. Great service!

Thos M.

Yelp
Breakfast was below average. California wrap was all eggs and no California! The avocado pieces were tiny and the small amount of them added nothing to the taste. The wrap was oversized so it had "bready" masses at the edges that were just blah. And the hash browns were very greasy. I am glad that the quantity was small as the greasy taste was overwhelming and they apparently fried them next to French toast because they had a powered sugar taste to them. As an added caution, the employees of Cafe 106 do not take any Covid precautions and apparently do not believe in wearing masks and not touching their faces & then serving food.
google avatar

Tom R.

Yelp
We got breakfast here and it was alright. I got the breakfast panini. I'd prolly stick to eggs and bacon in the future.

Crushin D.

Yelp
Very friendly and fast service. The food was delicious and arrived quickly. We were able to eat outside with our doggo and enjoy the nice weather.

Milo B.

Yelp
Excellent location and wonderful food. We enjoyed eating outdoors in the summer. Breakfast available all day as long as they are open
google avatar

Tiffany W.

Yelp
A very homey, Ma and Pa feel this place was perfect for a quick breakfast. The service was friendly, attentive and quick for a tasty staple breakfast. Nothing fancy but definitely did the trick. They had a healthy-option menu which I always enjoy seeing - instead of having to manipulate an entree. I ordered a garden omelette with mushrooms, onions, goat cheese and I think I am forgetting one other element. It was delicious and hit the spot. There wasn't an alternative gluten-free option to the English muffin so I ordered bacon on the side. The coffee wasn't anything fancy but served the jolt of caffeine I needed. Placed perfectly downtown, it was wonderful to be able to walk around the town after breakfast.

Michael F.

Yelp
(06/04/2022) - My first breakfast in Ludington. It's quaint, clean and friendly. Enjoyed my meal. The readiness of our order was probably the fastest I've ever been served.
google avatar

Anne A.

Yelp
We stopped into this little restaurant during a siblings reunion in Ludington.we arrived at peak lunch hour and the place was hopping but we were able to snag the last 4-top table. This place serves breakfast all day as well as lunch items. My sister ordered the Lite Breakfast Sandwich and said it was delicious. My other sister ordered the Lite Breakfast and was raving about the strawberry jam served with the toast. My brother-in-law ordered the Cajun Turkey Panini and said it was good especially with the strawberry jam spread on top! I ordered the Turkey Swirl sandwich without the Turkey and with avocado added. It was delicious! The service was friendly and quick. I would definitely go back.
google avatar

Teresa S.

Yelp
The inside looks a bit greasy spoon but the food while not fancy is certainly well above that. Thanks to the current health situation we were on the hunt for outdoor seating and greatly pleased to find a solid breakfast here as well. We ended up eating three breakfasts here while in town. I had a scramble full of good meats, perfectly cooked Spanish omelette w/ some additions, and yummy stuffed French toast (bring your own real maple syrup though) and I was quite pleased with all. Coffee was fine but like the syrup and high fructose ketchup could also use an upgrade. Service was prompt and friendly each day.

Yelp
4.7 STARS! I tried just about everything. The eggs are cooked to perfection no matter how much you choose. They have healthy options too! The poached eggs are beautiful and the chocolate chip pancakes are so awesomely sweet, moist and still have a great crispness too them you will want to take some home. The French toast was the only thing lacking the crisp yet moist texture. It was more chewy and missing something to take it over the top. Maybe a fruit topping. The biscuits for the gravy are filled with buttery goodness. The gravy is a darker, meatier gravy that yields plenty of fat for taste. A very filling side that you should share around the table. Worth the money. The breakfast burrito is good for Michigan. Add some hot sauce and enjoy this light option. Hash browns are crisp at the top and soft in the middle. Seasoned perfectly! The best part of the meal was the breakfast panini. The bread wasn't over done or over buttered. The inside cheese and egg with the bacon was just what you need to get away from a traditional plate. Add avacado!!! When you sleep late this is the place to visit. Very nice staff and prices are average. Enjoy!!!
