For sure, get here early if you want to eat breakfast without a wait. We got here about five minutes after it opened on a weekend, and within 15 minutes, all of the tables were taken. This seems to be a popular place for breakfast.
They were short staffed when we visited, but despite that, we still got great service, and our food came out quickly after we ordered. One of our meals got messed up a bit -- my child's buttermilk pancakes came out with chocolate chips on them -- but they were apologetic for the mistake and took it off our bill. My child, whose meal they "messed up," could care less that his pancakes has chocolate chips in them, and in fact considered it a sign that it was his lucky day. The chocolate chip pancakes were huge and spongy and sweet, and they tasted delicious.
As for me, I got a breakfast panini. It's a breakfast sandwich with egg, cheese and meat (I chose bacon). It comes with a side of hash browns. It doesn't look like much when it comes out from the kitchen, but it is very filling, and I could only eat half and took one half back to my hotel.
We were a party of six, and we got one of the biggest tables in the restaurant. This is not a restaurant that can seat a huge party -- the inside dining room in pretty small. There are some tables outside, but mostly those seats are two-seaters.
The coffee at Cafe 106 is very good! They will pour you a cup, and then leave the carafe at your table so you can refill when you need to. It's great coffee that's not too bitter for black coffee drinkers like me.
