Amazing experience today at Cafe 13! My first visit but definitely not my last. 😀The exceptional customer service upon entry and throughout whole experience in addition to the food was superb! We had the Turkey burger and salmon burger.

10/10. My daughter law and I like to find new places downtown to eat, well did she find a gem today!! I had breakfast and they had lunch. The food was absolutely amazing, love they have the healthy options like turkey bacon. My grandson had the Salmon burger guys this was SO good! My breakfast was plentiful and the potatoes are the best I’ve ever ate! It is hidden inside of the Renaissance building, straight back past the elevator and to the left! The service was great, the atmosphere was great! We will be returning!

Great Hidden Gem ! A place for different lunch options. Today I had the shrimp daily special & stayed warm all the way to my office & yes they have hot sauce available. If Cafe 13 is not on the juror lunch list, it should be. I walked from SouthEnd a few times to eat here. I have shared this spot with several colleagues from my office. Wishing you the best !

Today, I had the pleasure of visiting Café 13, and from the moment I walked in, I was impressed. I had the opportunity to meet Stephanie and Rick—two incredible owners who are not only kind but very hands-on with the business. Their presence and passion add a personal touch that many restaurants are missing these days. The food? Absolutely delicious—hot, fresh, and full of flavor. My friends and I cleaned our plates with zero hesitation! The atmosphere of the café is cozy and welcoming, but what stood out the most was the exceptional service. You can truly feel the love and effort poured into every detail. If you’re looking to support a small Black-owned business that values community, quality, and experience, Café 13 is a must-visit!

Drove 30min to try this for breakfast after reading a few reviews complementing the pancakes. The good: it's clean, it's cute, love the aesthetic. The eggs were perfect. The needs improvement: It's hard to find. There are no outside markers or signage. The service: the woman who was upfront was on the phone on a personal call. She seemed irritated that I interrupted her to put in an order. She had no warmth at all. Everything is served on paper plates and plastic silverware. Your napkins are a roll of paper towels on the tables. The same woman who took the order kept carrying on her phone call touching everything without washing her hands. The cook wasn't wearing real shows. He had on socks with shower slides. The food was on par with Cracker barrel/ Denny's The pancakes were certainly made with a box mix. The syrup is prepackaged Smuckers corn syrup. Overall it's okay, but not the best around.

Great food! Great service! Very laid back vibe but the food did not miss. Really enjoyed the hash browns and the pancakes. No extra seasoning required like other Greensboro breakfasts we have had. Don’t be confused when you pull up to an office building, it’s just inside.

All I wanted for my birthday was pancakes. My original plan fell through but I found Cafe 13 in my search for a back up. Despite it being 2:00 in the afternoon my pancake request was granted and I appreciated it very much. The pancakes were delicious!

Cute little restaurant. Easy to get to from the office. GREAT SERVICE! Menu was great for breakfast or lunch and the food was good. My eggs were cooked perfectly and my bacon crispy- just the way I like it. My friend got a hamburger and fries. He said it was great! Cooked the way he liked.

Delicious food and great customer service I hope they do well! If you are looking for something different to try, give them a visit.

We were wandering around downtown Greensboro deciding where to have breakfast. Could not have made a better decision than stopping on Cafe 13. Fantastic service, food and greeted by the owners with a big smile as soon as we walked in the door. Now, if only their landlords would put the restaurant name outside the building. Give yourself a treat and stop in. You won't regret it

called ahead of time to make sure of everything they had available. I was told they had plenty of fish our department puts one order in and we go pick up. Myself and 2 other co-workers ordered a fish plate that came with fish, fries, hush puppies (maybe 4)and a small thing a coleslaw Maybe 2oz. Today in our plate we received one pice of fish cut half for $16.01(no drink) in June we received 2 whole pieces of fish. I think you should let customers know what they are paying for especially if it's for less food.

I have wanted to try this place for a very long time, but just didn't have the opportunity throughout the week. They have Seafood on Fridays so I selected the fried shrimp, but with a salad that would normally come with chicken or another protein. The salad was so fresh and included big leafy greens, no iceberg, tomatoes cucumbers and croutons. The jumbo shrimp and the boiled egg gave me a great amount of protein. The shrimp were piping hot and they had great flavo. I could tell by those coming and going that this is a favorite for the working community with the Renaissance building, and in the downtown area. Drop in if you're close by!

The restaurant my husband and I usually go to at 9am every other weekday wasn't open on a Tuesday, so we searched for another spot to hit up and found ourselves in this cute little café today. Upon pulling up to the spot google maps led us to, we were a little confused since it doesn't stand out right away because it's located within the Renaissance Plaza Office Building First Floor. You have to go inside and look. Fortunately, it wasn't hard to find. It's a cute, clean, little space and for some reason, it felt very nostalgic of a mom and pop shop I'd been to in NYC in a past life. The owner was present and immediately greeted us as we entered. The menu offerings are very straight forward and the food isn't anything out of the ordinary, but I can tell there was a lot of pride that went into the cooking. They cared about our experience and were very friendly. My hubby and I enjoyed our experience here for breakfast for the ease of ordering food we can expect to be consistent in quality, as the owner himself preps it, and its accessibility so early in the morning which isn't always a thing on a Monday/Tuesday unless you count fast food.

Great Turkey Burger! This is inside the office building. Service is quick ! Breakfast and Lunch. Great for a quick bite and not super costly.

This was me and my fiancé's first time and OMG! The service, food and atmosphere was awesome. We definitely will be back

The location is inside a business building no signs outside directing a potential customer to the restaurant. The phone number listed with Yelp; I called 3 times no response. I asked the security guard in the lobby if the business exists. After locating the cafe I went inside as I was looking at the menu for the first time. The mature woman behind the counter seemed perturbed I did not order right away. Crazy because there no customers seated or physically waiting in-line. I was the only person waiting; reading the overhead menu. Her attitude was a downer. The food though abundant wasn't spectacular; It was fine: pancakes no flavour; sausage over cooked, bacon salty; grits just salt and pepper. The coffee was mediocre and $3. I ordered takeout and was still asked for a TIP. Really a tip for takeout, come on. I probably won't return but that does mean you shouldn't give it a try.

Small cafe tucked away inside Renaissance Plaza. Breakfast was fresh and delicious; owner himself cooked up my order and provided great company. Great place to stop in for a simple breakfast and easy bite for lunch. Highly recommend!!!!!

The food is amazing! The service is fantastic! The prices are very reasonable! I ordered the jumbo fried shrimp with sweet potato fries. It came with hush puppies and cole slaw. I ate every bit of my food and wanted to take a nap afterwards but work wouldn't let me do it, lol! If I get the chance to come back & visit downtown Greensboro, I will definitely eat lunch here.
