10 Best Coffee Shops in Puerto Rico | Condé Nast Traveler

"A roadside stop near the beach, Café 2 Go is a Rincon favorite for a coffee with a side of inspiration: Baristas write uplifting messages on the cup sleeves, reminding customers to “Surround yourself with people who bring out the best in you, not the stress in you.” Lattes, iced or hot, garner the most praise here, as do the fruit smoothies (get the mango). The owners have a sweet tooth, adding chocolate to their frappuccinos and frappes. Baristas are surfers when they're not working and many are decked out in the café's “Sorry, we’re stoned” t-shirts." - Kathleen Squires

Visited cafe 2 go Rincon, Puerto Rico multiple occasions and consistently had a great experience. The service was always welcoming and accompanied by a smile. The overall ambiance and staff created a warm and inviting atmosphere that made you feel right at home.

Google
Great spot, very close to multiple beaches and walkable from other areas. The drinks were great and so were the açaí and pitaya bowls

Vivien Balcker

Google
They improved so much! They merges 2 trailers into a nice big location, added comfortably seating. Best coffee and açaí of Rimcon! Long line, but worth it because it brings the community together and welcomes visitors.

Google
This smoothie/coffee shop by the beach in Rincón. Nice outdoor seating area. Only accepts cash. Definitely a great pick for a fresh fruit smoothies. I got the mango, honey, and coconut water. I got a small bamboo magnet and the cafe sticker for my collection. Parking - some parking by sidewalk and across the street Seating - tables and benches outside Staff - friendly Prices - very reasonable Food - fruit bowls, smoothies & small snacks

Google
Great coffee spot, usually busy for good reason. All of the staples, the iced latte was great and the iced coffee is flavorful. Right next to a smoothie truck and a breakfast truck so this is a great place to go for a morning walk

Julie Shope

Google
Great service! Coffee was good. Had plenty of milk alternative options.

CaBella CaBella

Google
Great little stop for a coffee, fruit smoothie or coconut water. The coconut water really hydrated you after a long day.

Yelp
The gentleman at the stand was closing up when we walked up but he was still so kind and was willing to give us service. The place is outdoors, quiet and so peaceful. I've been on the search for the best freshest açaí bowl and this is the winner!!! The coffee was very tasty too. Very very happy with this find.

Yelp
We came hoping to pick up some breakfast to go, but unfortunately they no longer sell hot foods such as sandwiches & burritos. We settled for an iced dirty chai and an açaí bowl. The coffee was fantastic. Priced a little steep given the size, but the quality is phenomenal. The açaí bowl was a hit, surprisingly my picky husband loved it. I'm a big fan of açaí bowls, and these are much better than the California açaí. The toppings besides coconut, chia seeds & granola cost about 75¢ extra. Although $10, it is a good size to share... so you get the bang for your buck. This place is cute on the outside, and the friendly personalities running the shop match. I recommend for a quick coffee.

Yelp
The ambiance of this spot is great, but the coffee wasn't as amazing as lots of other spots nearby. However, it was totally passable and a nice atmosphere to hang in.

Yelp
My go to for morning beverage when I'm in Rincon. I love their iced chai but you can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

Yelp
I've been going to this place for over a year because they had good service, açaí bowl, and coffee. I recently came back here to get the exactly same things as before. The quality of service was way lower, the staff who made coffee was so grumpy, acted like I bothered him because I came in right after they opened and disturbed him sipping on his morning coffee. I ordered vanilla latte, tasted like watered down latte, not hot enough.. the açaí bowl was pre made and packed, half melted, in a plastic bowl. And they increased their price, which I felt they needed to lower their price for having less quality of service/products... they are at such a convenient location, but I'm going to drive a few minutes further to go to a different place from now on. Very disappointed.

Yelp
I wanted a healthy breakfast place and Cafe 2 Go popped up. I love Acai bowls but I'm super picky so I was hoping it was as good as everyone said and....it was!!!!! The girl who made it was really nice and also fast. She whipped up my yummy Acai bowl (added peanut butter) and iced coffee (also delicious) with the quickness. Wish I had stayed in Rincon longer just to go back there.

Yelp
Came here three times on our trip for espresso and açaí. Espresso drinks are so tasty and perfectly strong - couple times I had an iced almond milk latte and another a warm cortado. The açaí bowls are huge, big enough to share between two moderately hungry adults. The only thing I would add is fresh fruit, but otherwise they are very generous with the granola, dried coconut, and chia seeds. We came back for it another day, cause it was that tasty! Prices are average and come early on weekends to avoid the rush!

Yelp
Great little shop!! We loved the coffee and acai bowls we got. The owner even owns a cute dog she lets costumers pet.

Yelp
Love the coffee here! They have chairs and tables that you can enjoy your coffee...and just relax and enjoy the breeze.

Yelp
Came a few times to this place. The local girl is very charming and welcoming. She greeted us very nicely every time and was very kind. Last time the white lady kept doing stuff and breaking boxes to put away and didn't even care I was standing there for awhile. She then asked me what I want and proceeded to make without washing her dirty hands. She put the product on counter and that was it. I think she got mad because my husband dropped me off in front instead of parking in front right away. Lady if you don't know the circumstances don't judge. I wasn't feeling my best and I was getting something for my daughter who texted me on the way to my location. The place looks dirty and full of flies and bees. We will not comeback.

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick iced coffee, an iced tea, and a couple of acai bowls. The iced tea was nothing to write home about (PR isn't a good place to get iced tea we found). The acai bowls were very tasty and came with a ton of food. The iced coffee had plenty of ice and had great flavor.

Yelp
Excellent açaí bowl! Coffee is good and strong. So good we came back a second time. Open early so bonus points for that. Cash only.:)

Jessica K.

Yelp
Okay, I'm in an açaí endorser. I'm highly obsessed and addicted. EVERY place I go travel to or go to I always check for any acais available nearby. I decided "hey why not," since I'm in Puerto Rico...let's see what their acais are all about! Wow wow wow. I'm SUPER impressed and satisfied! This was like no other açaí I've ever tasted in my life. SO simple, SO fresh, SO smooth, and authentic. I ate this shit every day for breakfast I was in P.R. My friend from Brazil even said it tastes JUST like the açaí in Brazil his homeland. And you know açaí originated from Brazil. It was absolutely the perfect balance and the best açaí I've ever tried until I go to Brazil ;) I got the one and only açaí. It comes with all natural açaí from the amazon, apple juice, strawberries, banana and blueberries. Then it's topped with more simple and clean ingredients, like chia seeds, coconut shavings, homemade granola and peanut butter (optional). All of this for only $9 and the servings are HUGE enough to share with two people. I'm in love, will be coming back just for this no joke.

Yelp
Great spot for coffee and a healthy breakfast! We couldn't believe how big (and delicious) the açaí bowls were. Definitely stop here!
google avatar

Yelp
Great Açaí bowl, huge and so filling! Coffee was also delicious. Park in the lot across the street.

Harold S.

Yelp
Great find on the side of the famous PR-413 road that leads to the Rincón Lighthouse and some great surfing. Great coffee and drinks! They have a couple of tables and chairs for you to enjoy your drinks. Parking is across the street, so please be careful when crossing. The owners/workers are bilingual so they got you covered!

Yelp
Great cup of coffee with super friendly service. While there, several locals stopped in that were very helpful with providing directions and advice. Just down the road from the lighthouse. Like most coffee on the island, it was very smooth, flavorful without any bitterness (think Starbucks).

Yelp
I kept coming back here while in Rincon, best coffee shop in my opinion. The dude was super cool and the drinks were awesome I had black iced coffee, chai frappe, Frappuccino, and an acai bowl. Obviously not all at once or I would have been tweaked the fuck out. All were delicious. This is my go to spot when in Rincon!

Brenda G.

Yelp
solid typical iced coffee experience. i recommend the choco banana latte. customer service could be a smidge friendlier but still good people

Yelp
This was a great coffee experience. We really enjoyed our time to get an early morning coffee. Michael got a Cortado and the expression was really good. They have a few little tables and everyone was super chill which made it very pleasant. plan to hang not rush as it was at the pace of beach life

Yelp
The best coffee I tried in Rincon! Not only the coffee is great but the service is also good and I love all the little details, especially the hand written quotes in the coffee sleeves! How nice this is! Thank you!

Yelp
A pleasure of place, a must go to anyone in the Rincón area. Had a Dirty Chai Latte and a delicious power cookie. My spirts and awareness for the rest of the day were at a all time high. I could not stop talking on how awesome they both were. I will be dropping by as often as I can. The staff was friendly, awesome customer service. I recommend it to all the coffee lovers.

Abhilaash R.

Yelp
Amazing Aćai bowl-right amount of crunch and sweetness. Friendly staff. Ample space to park. Highly recommend it.

Yelp
Good coffee and beautiful spot! Near an hostel for those who are looking for a place to sleep.

Jose O.

Yelp
This is by far my favorite coffee shop in Rincon. They make the best coffee and a delicious Açaí bowl. Their food items are quite yummy as well. The staff is pleasant and attentive. Love the inspiring messages in each coffee cup holder. Best way to start my day!

Yelp
We got a peanut butter and chocolate frappucino from this cute little coffee truck on the side of the road. It was sooooooooo delicious, and you could still taste the coffee in it. The barista was also super friendly. Would definitely go back!

Suzanna V.

Yelp
The best coffee in town. U have to try its on very good location and u can sit there and enjoy your coffee. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Sarah F.

Yelp
Great coffee!! This is our favorite breakfast spot in rincon. Good vegan options, friendly service, great prices!

Abby H.

Yelp
Best coffee!!! We came here almost every morning on our recent week vacation. So many options and flavors. Definitely will miss it while at home.

Yelp
Ridiculous. Expensive and everything we ordered was completely different from the description. For example: "specialty Nutella frappé" did not have nutella and was made with coffee. Nowhere did it say it had coffee, nor the attendant mentioned it. Açai bowl is another surprise. They blend everything and it only taste like açai. It's an $8.50 açai smoothie for crying out loud. Total failure.

Yelp
Starbucks in the heart of rincon, sweet crew, good coffee but nothing local, if you missed your cup of joe from home? this is the place for you or if you didn't connect with the local coffee that's also the place for you. Overall good prices great service.

D F.

Yelp
The coffee is delicious! I've tried a few other places in town, but nothing compares to cafe 2 go. Puerto Rican coffee has its own unique taste; very rich and pure, like cacao .I had a medium (12oz) black coffee for only a $1.50!I will definitely make this place one of my regular spots.
